Io-sphere secured me an interview with one of their partners almost a year after the course started. The course was life-changing for me, as I had limited hopes of finding a good first job after graduation given my lack of prior experience. However, the program exceeded my expectations by providing both technical skills and vital soft skills. The training focused on communication, presentation, and teamwork, which greatly improved my confidence in interviews and allowed me to provide concrete examples to demonstrate my abilities.
Although it took me over six months to secure a position, I eventually landed a fantastic job as a pricing analyst in healthcare. This experience was transformative.
The only constructive feedback I would give is to develop courses on cv writing, mandatory interviews practices, personal statements ect!

1) they claim the selection process at application is selective so that only 5% of applicants make it through. Untrue, people get kicked out in week one, and subsequent weeks, for not being up to scratch accordingly to invisible criteria that were never shared. After a certain point some people made it through so that the company could squeeze money out of them and/or not get reputational damage from bad reviews.
2) the technical program itself, now wisely reduced to aim at only entry-level position, consists in a basic curriculum in datacamp, worth probably around a couple of hundred bucks and in some collective sessions which could be appearing to be useful to the inexpert eye, except no employer in real life knows about ioSphere nor values any of the curriculum and neither they do anything to help themselves.
3) the in person bit I was subject to was a business game with coaches who were literally improvising sessions on the spot and/or complaining with us about their contractual agreement with ioSphere. The speakers were either linkedinfluencers with no real content other than buzzwords and inexistent links to a job or they were practising their pitches for other audiences. Most of the tasks never had any “right answer” even when techical, so there was really little learning value for more inexperienced people
4) anyone able to read english would realise, upon reading the contract, that there’s no scenario under which you won’t pay fees. Even if you don’t find a job in 6 months, they’ll claim you haven’t looked hard enough
5) to this date they have placed 0 candidates within their network, else they would boast it greatly in their socials etc. conclusion: they don’t have any network. In previous versions of their website they claimed to work woth employers such as British Airways, wisely removed now. (See internet archive)
6) after the 10 weeks end, that’s where the real fraud happens: a part from a weekly coaching which consists in an hour of “how can you motivate yourself to find a job” and things of that nature, there’s 0 support. Most you can hope for, is some unpaid work that serves them to validate their flimsy business proposition and most times gets retracted with no explanation.
7) reviews are corrupt: either bots and/or motivated by bribes promised by the founder himself. They say it was a mistake to promise money for good reviews, except they never removed them or done anything to mitigate.

In any case, I would stay away unless you want to give 5 grand away for no reason. You won’t increase your possibilities to find a job in data through this joke of a course, and you could acquire a grasp of the skills for less on your own.
In particular if you have any working experience whatsoever, stay away.

It’s a shame they take advantage of people in this tough market with false promises and a conduct that is questionable to say the least.

While I truly believe the various complimentary comments of some individuals ,It is fair to point out that it has been disappointing to some too.I am aware of someone who participated in the program for 5 weeks only to be told he had not been chosen for the second half and no reasons were given other than quota basis.Students must be adequately informed of performance standards required and be given regular updates to be helpful.To suddenly turn down a learner after 5 weeks without good reasons wont help the image of the company.

I enrolled for the October 2023 cohort and left in December with a dream job (Insight Analyst at Tesco) and a new found confidence in my abilities. The course is split into 2 halves: 1. Learning technical skills (SQL, PowerBI and excel), presentation skills, interview practice and CV building. 2. Applying all these skills to a job environment. I learnt so much in both halves but as someone who had worked for the past 8 years much preferred the 2nd half with all the practical application. This course is excellent for people who lack confidence (like myself) and need that boost and safe space to be curious and learn about the world of data. It has been 7 months since I have completed the course and I love my current job and could not be more grateful for all the knowledge learnt in that time.

I would highly recommend IO-Sphere to anyone like me who is looking to make a career switch into data analytics. I came to the course never even having heard of things like SQL, but thanks to the skills acquired during the programme, I have landed a job as a junior analyst!

It was an intense 10 week journey, but we were given all the tools and knowledge needed to enter the very competitive data analytics market. In addition to learning the technical aspects of the job, we were also supported with interview practise and professional skills like influencing and storytelling to be fully prepped for the demands of the data analytics job market. What really sets this programme apart is the in-person training with live data sets and face-to-face interaction. This practical approach bridges the gap between the theory and application, and prepared us for real-world challenges in data analytics. The coaches are super supportive and knowledgeable and they create a fun and engaging learning environment.

Loved the experience throughout, especially the apply phase. A fantastic entry into the data sector, with a focus on both the more technical and softer skills. Want to give a shout-out to the coaching team who went out of their ways to support myself and the cohort, and the engagement from the leadership, you can feel the passion throughout!

From the first day of acquire (online sessions) to my last moment in apply (work simulation) i thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and learned a whole lot that i can take into my career in data, and beyond.

The coaches were all brilliant, very helpful and professional and always had the time to give their assistance if you needed it.

I can't recommend the course more, and if you're looking have a helping hand into data as I was to begin with, it's a great place to start. You finish coming out as a fully fledged data analyst with coding, presenting/story-telling and analytical experience which is invaluable.

If you find yourself reading this review, it’s likely that you harbor some reservations regarding IO-Sphere. Allow me to share my personal journey, which may shed some light on the institution and its offerings.
My initial engagement with IO-Sphere commenced in July 2023, when I applied and was subsequently invited for an interview. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication regarding the Zoom meeting setup, I was left with a sense of unease, reminiscent of a previous unfortunate experience in the UK. Consequently, I chose not to attend the interview.
Several months later, upon encountering their recruitment advertisements once more, I pondered the persistence of the organization. It struck me that if it were a fraudulent operation, it would surely have been identified and halted by now. Seeking further assurance, I reached out to former participants via LinkedIn to inquire about their experiences.
Encouraged by the positive feedback, I applied once again and was reintroduced to James, the interviewer from my previous attempt. James, having retained records of our prior interaction, inquired about my absence from the initial interview. After explaining my apprehensions stemming from past experiences, I was met with understanding and subsequently admitted into the program. James’s flexible and empathetic approach was notably impressive.
An additional encounter with James further solidified my respect for him. Faced with personnel issues within my team, I sought his counsel. His unbiased understanding and judgment, coupled with a genuinely compassionate demeanor, profoundly impacted me. This exemplified the soft skills I sought to acquire to navigate life in the UK, affirming my decision to join the program.
Moreover, the program exceeded my expectations by not only enhancing my soft skills but also providing invaluable career guidance and interpersonal skills development, thanks to contributions from Bob and Isha. For individuals from minority backgrounds in the UK seeking personal and professional growth, IO-Sphere presents a commendable opportunity.

Great experience accelerator! If you are looking to get into the Data Science and Analytics space then this is a great opportunity to start. Thinking about switching careers - this is an excellent opportunity too! iO Sphere will give you great insight into the needs and wants of the UK analytics market today, and give you a 10-week program to attune yourself to it, where you learn the latest (in 2024) relevant skills and practice them on Real Client projects. Learn skills like SQL, PowerBI, Python or R, Google Cloud (GCP), Pandas, dbt, Airflow, and/or AWS.
I personally trained in the Data Leaders programme which helped me apply these skills with a live team, and then applied them on a few real projects.
Key thing to make this program useful (for you and me) - know/decide/understand exactly what you want to get out of it at the start. Then you can work with the coaches to navigate towards it.

Gave iO-Sphere's data bootcamp a go, hoping to crack into the analytics world. Well, didn't expect it to be such a game-changer.

The hands-on projects were the best bit, allowing me to apply theory to real-world scenarios. The support from coaches and peers helped a lot and also created a fun learning environment. What sets iO-Sphere apart is its commitment to industry relevance.

Fast forward a bit – bagged a spot as a marketing analyst.

If you're on the hunt for a bit more than your standard course, iO-Sphere’s is that. Properly chuffed with the experience. 👍👍

Unique data training programme that got me the start I wanted. Thank you!

The positives of the course were that everyone focuses on how to be an effective data analyst in any industry to deliver impact, they develop your communication/storytellling skills/soft skills through the course as well as interviewing skills.
Having done a traditional bootcamp this course complimented my technical skills with the soft skills and confidence I needed through delivering presentations week after week during apply.

The improvements they need to make are to partner with companies that can supply data and incorporate into the apply weeks thus helping the business with insights and also allowing students to work on real data and provided real insights. Furthermore, the first few weeks of acquire should not be fully remote using datacamp it should be hybrid learning with reinforcement excercises on campus.

I did land a data job outside of the network so I am happy overall and I believe IO Sphere did play a part in my career switch.

If you want to go into data analysts, just do the online course yourself and save yourself the time and money. The first 5 weeks of this is to do a data analysis course online and join a few calls for firedrills, games/quizes and some industry lecture. Fishy straight off the bat like Eirfat as i found the games and some of the industry lectures quite useless.
Then the five weeks in person, i was expecting it to be more useful, informative and engaging... but was more or less the same thing. We'd been given weekly real-life scenario analytical projects which we'd have to work in groups. Fine, but then were expected to also join for other silly 'guess the animal' games that would take up 1.5 hours in the morning or other industry lectures again which again had nothing to do with data analysis and more to do with motivating us to join the industry?
Also, before joining it had been communicated with me that they work with a large number of companies to then outsource the candidates out upon finishing the course but in reality, only maybe 10% of the cohort would be outsourced.
The CEO that holds a lot of the sessions is also quite strange, feels the need to make everyone know he holds the power and isnt afraid to use it. I had my camera off for a call as my mother (who usually covers but wasnt since uno...home) was in the background and i was kicked from the call and wasnt allowed back in.

Overall would not recommend this to anyone as they'll leave you high and dry after and will be after your £3000. The reviews are also tainted due to the incentive of winning £250 for leaving 5* reviews.

I absolutely loved learning new coding and analytical skills but my favourite part of the course was 'Acquire' where they give you the opportunity to work in a data team for a mock company. Each week centers around a different project and provides multiple opportunities to learn from experience and learn from your peers.

Overall the course is intense but I believe it provides valuable knowledge and experiences to those looking to get into data analytics.

However, I gave the overall experience 4 stars because I do believe that the course could be longer.

In addition the 'Accelerate' stage (the stage after you have completed the course) is great, they have been very supportive in trying to help me find a job. One drawback is because they are still in the early stages of building and perfecting the course it is a little disorganised.

This program was great in getting me skilled up to apply for analytical jobs as well as getting interview ready. It made it possible to get my foot through the door in the data analyst market. Coaches were amazing and super helpful throughout the process.

I spent months searching for jobs, sending 100s of applications and never getting an interview. iO-Sphere not only developed my technical skills but helped me with the soft skills and cv/interview preparation to land my dream first job in data - I couldn't be more happy with where I've ended up! The career path that has now been opened up to me because of this course is very exciting.

Extremely helpful, insightful, and energetic coaches who I can still go to for advice to this day and who genuinely care about each person's journey. If you're looking to go into a data role and have the right attitude and enthusiuasm this course will take you there - and at a very reasonable price against their competitors.

Before I found IO-Sphere I'd spent 6 months retraining to move from a career in accountancy to data analysis.

I thought this process would be quite easy. I had a highly numerate background, giving proof of problem solving and with years of Excel experience. I was so wrong. For 6 months my CV was completely ignored. I sent off well over 100 job applications and got nothing back. To try and improve my CV I did the Coursera Google Data Certificate, that was ignored. I did a personal project using R, that was ignored.
It was proving to be impossible to get a job when I didn't have direct data analysis experience.

IO-Sphere was a total game changer. They are set up perfectly to give us genuine experience in a condensed window. It starts with 5 weeks learning remotely, these weeks teach you the basics of Excel, SQL, PowerBI and then your choice of R or Python. After that there are 5 weeks working with other course-mates in person, doing real Data analysis projects on 3rd party data.

The course is intense, especially the 5 weeks in person, but it works. I learnt so much from the course. IO-Sphere don't just focus on the technical skills. They are essential, but they're not what makes a candidate stand out, and its those skills that make you a prime job candidate that IO-Sphere excel at building.

CV crafting, job interview practice, soft skills building, presenting, communication and learning how to make the biggest impact possible; these are just a handful of the skills that IO-Sphere bring out of everyone.

IO-Sphere is also extremely accessible, their funding model makes it affordable to those of us out of work.

I give IO-Sphere significant credit for my success in getting my first Data Analyst role. I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone looking to get a job in data. You won't regret it.

Great place to learn and grow and really understand the requirements needed to become a Data Analyst, would recommend the Data Analyst entry course to anyone that feels like it could be the career for them!

A training programme that gives you the practical experience you need to succeed as a data professional. I've done online courses and a bootcamp but they only focus on the technical skills and tools. iO-Sphere give you technical skills, professional skills and everything you need to land a job and then hit the ground running.

The coaches are all from industry and use their experience is priceless. Would highly recommend!
