Best customers service in any company organisation I've dealt with. If carlsberg did customer service. It would be the agents here at ionos.

Tristan was accommodating; helpful; trying to find solutions to the issues i had which I appreciated. He did not put obstacles in my way and he was transparent - All great attributes - He provided me with useful information for which I am grateful

I cannot get past the IONOS login page despite trying several email addresses and my customer number. IONOS said my email addresses were not recognised, and live chat was temporarily unavailable when I sought help.

IONOS has now said my entire account was cancelled in 2025 at my request and that I declined a domain-only contract. However, its reminder says sofiz.uk does not expire until 4 November 2026, and I received account-related notifications in 2026. I was not notified that my access would be closed in advance of the domain expiry. Please explain when the account was closed, provide the cancellation and notice records, and explain how I was expected to manage or renew the domain while locked out.

My complaint about being unable to get help by email or webchat remains valid regardless of the account's status. My emails were rejected as coming from an unrecognised address. IONOS has offered to help set up a new domain account and quoted £12 per year including VAT; please provide practical steps urgently so I can retain the domain before expiry.

I am a current customer who has an ongoing complaint regarding phishing emails being constantly sent from IONOS. The emails are sent to webmail address given by IONOS. The matter has been ongoing since August 2026 and my matter has not been resolved. The emails sent to me are disguised to be as IONOS. This is very daunting considering they score extremely well on cyber security. I have called in several times with a different answer being given each time such as; you need to email, the department is busy with a backlog of complaints, call back once the complaint has reached to its dedicated team... The complaints team does not want deal with my concern as my service contract expires in January 2027, they are pushing me for as along as they can until my service end date!

Riel was highly personably, very polite and incredibly helpful when I needed to fix an invoice issue.

Easy to sign up, incredibly frustrating to cancel

I signed up with IONOS online with every intention of using their services. Unfortunately, my circumstances changed, and I found myself unable to afford to continue. I accept that I entered into a contract and that there may be legitimate financial obligations.

However, what I have experienced while trying to cancel has been extremely frustrating.

Signing up was straightforward and completed entirely online. Cancelling has been anything but.

I completed their online cancellation process, only to be told I needed to telephone customer services within 14 days to confirm it. I prefer written communication so there is a clear record of what has been agreed.

After contacting IONOS by email, I was repeatedly asked for further information. First, they requested contract details I had already supplied. After providing them again, I was told they would proceed with cancellation. Then another email arrived asking me to confirm that I accepted permanent deletion of my data.

I confirmed that too.

Despite complying with every request, I still had no clear confirmation that all my contracts were being cancelled.

Meanwhile, I received a debt collection notification claiming £51 and a separate IONOS email warning that another contract could be terminated automatically over an outstanding £36 invoice.

This raises an obvious question: why can IONOS apparently terminate a contract for non-payment, yet a customer who actively wants to cancel has to navigate so many separate steps?

I have never made use of the services, although I recognise that non-use does not automatically remove contractual obligations. I am not expecting debts to simply disappear. I am asking for a clear explanation of what is owed, what contracts remain active, and how to stop further charges accumulating.

I have now submitted a formal request to cancel every contract associated with my account.

My biggest criticism is not that IONOS charges for its services. It is how unnecessarily difficult and stressful the cancellation process has become, particularly for someone experiencing financial difficulties and trying to deal with the situation responsibly.

A company should make leaving reasonably straightforward, not leave customers feeling trapped in ongoing commitments.

I hope IONOS resolves this and provides a clear written confirmation of cancellation and any outstanding financial obligations.

Until then, my experience has been extremely disappointing.

I am a new customer as of today, what I feared, was having to enter into a long, and protracted set up scenario.

This was definitely not the case, speaking to people who knew what they were doing, was a pleasant surprise, especially the manner in which my account was handled.

I had a couple of questions which were dealt with politely and efficiently, early days, but I feel confident that I have found the right company.

The customer service in my opinion would be hard to beat, thank you IONOS.

Only losing a star because it could take up to 48 hours for the change to take effect.
I went through the process of creating a relay mailbox on an existing domain with some input from the AI support bot, but at no point did it tell me that my new mailbox was likely to be blocked by the Ionos spam system once created, so I wasted a lot of time going back and forth between using an existing email account and seeing successful sending of emails from my python script and then 554 failures when I tried to use my new relay to send weekly stat reports.

Migrating from another host - Neze D. made it easy - so knowledgeable. Knew what the issue was and how to solve. Great to live chat with someone.
