I had an issue with my business listing…

I had an issue with my business listing and contacted a Ionos Customer service representative. The young lady was very helpful in helping understand fully the status of my various Ionos Domain Websites and email accounts ... she was professional, patient and friendly. Plus she fully clarified my understanding of how the Ionos Domain, website and emails all work together and how to use them fully.
I really appreciated her taking the time to lead me throughout the process.
I am a senior citizen in my 80s and I am trying to keep up with all of this technology for my business.
I was able to create a very good website and immediately began using the website and posted/shared links with my associates, potential investors and on my LinkedIn Professional profile page ... 😀 😄 😉

Honestly, I had called several times seeking support regarding an invoice issue related to domain registration and/or renewal information.

My experience was great because I was…

My experience was great because I was able to reach a customer service representative right away instead of dealing with an automated system. While AI can be useful, I don’t think it’s the best option for customer service. Speaking to a real person made the process much smoother and more reassuring.

He was helpful but then high pressure sales pitch

He was helpful and solved the reason I called but then he did the high pressure sales pitch for me to add other features. Even after telling him I didn’t need it he kept pushing. I finally said “Thank you for your time and help”
And hung up.

extremely complicated, not user friendly

1. extremely complicated, hard to understand personal/control panel, not user friendly, throws errors again and again.

2. I was logout`ed by timeout right after server payment and now have to ask refund and as they told me "wait 10 days" (lets add +5 days on mail talks) 15 days because account wasn't created before payment...nonsense !

3. All phone lines are busy or youll hear AI bot, also in the chat - useless AI bot ! They have email support but you have to suffer to find the address !

everything because ionos dont use their own product!

Scam

1. Tried cheapest VPS offer for $2 -> was charged $5 from my credit card. No warnings at all.
2. Auto-pronged my contract wchich was initially 1 month.
3. When tried to cancel - the site says call us and explain. If you do not call, you contract-termination request will be cancelled an d we will continue to charge you.

If it were bigger amounts it would be a pure scam.

Genuinely human customer service!

I called in because I had a billing issue where a refund was slow to show up in my bank account. Since I hadn't received any communication regarding the refund after a couple of business days, I called in to inquire about the status. The agent was very helpful and knowledgeable, and confirmed that the transaction was being processed.

I also need to give a shoutout to the previous agent who granted the one-time exception. They were understanding and professional when assessing my situation, and offered a refund that took my circumstances into consideration.

What stands out the most is how rare this kind of service has become. Most corporations today are only focused on the bottom line, and reaching an actual human in customer service is tedious and sometimes impossible. You get stuck in chatbot loops that send you in circles (I recently went through exactly this with a similar tech company). Getting a refund on top of that? Almost unheard of.

Overall, this kind of customer service is what makes me a loyal IONOS customer. Their team ensures a personal approach with every interaction. They really go the extra mile to make things right.
