Solid concept
Solid concept, mixed execution
I've been using IQMax for a bit and honestly it's a mixed bag. The daily IQ challenges are the strongest part of the app — they're quick, varied, and genuinely make you think rather than just being filler puzzles. The mini-games are fun too, and a nice way to break things up when you don't feel like a full session.
The AI-powered insights are an interesting idea and the progress summaries look good, though I'd say they feel more motivational than deeply analytical. I'd love to see more depth there over time.
On the downside, a lot of the better features sit behind the premium subscription, and the free tier feels pretty limited once you've done the baseline assessment. It's a decent app for a casual brain workout, but if you're expecting a clinical-grade IQ tool, this isn't it (and to be fair, they say as much themselves).
Worth trying — just go in with realistic expectations.
