I think that the introduction of the Hebrew alphabet before the start of the course was a fascinating way to begin. Students were armed with the instrument to earnestly assimilate the course faster.

The teachers are good, some better than others, however the classes move so fast on the material. I have trouble keeping up with the homework, vocabulary and using tool (I can't remember the name of it). The new too helps tremendoussly as it shows both the question and the answer along with a verbal rendition of the letter being taught.

Everyone I delt with was very professional, kind and courteous. It was a good experience. Thank you.

The progression of course work is 1. Designed very well, and 2. Very doable for the adult learner. In addition, Dr Katz is a superlative teacher: patient, kind, encouraging, knowledgeable.

I love it! Learning Biblical Hebrew is so meaningful to me. This course is well worth it!

I cannot praise the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies highly enough! Their customer service is nothing short of outstanding. My initial difficulties were entirely due to an error on my part — I had mistakenly logged in with the wrong email and became quite frustrated. In my confusion, I even stumbled upon a few misleading comments online which only added to my doubts.
But let me tell you — every single concern vanished the moment I experienced their unparalleled professionalism, their astonishing patience, and their genuine dedication to helping me understand and feel supported. They didn’t just send one or two emails — they called me personally more than five times, each time with warmth, clarity, and kindness.
They truly went above and beyond to resolve an issue that was not even theirs to begin with. Their passion for education and their commitment to each student’s journey is deeply inspiring. I sincerely apologize for having doubted them for even a moment, and I am writing this to wholeheartedly encourage any current or future students:

I have always desired to know more about God's language. This school is helping me to grasp an understanding of that knowledge. The classes are based on a novice learning skill set and is somewhat easy to understand. I look forward every Monday.

The Hebrew book of Revelation will challenge and correct any western Euro-centric colonized theology that is antithetical to the author. The explanation of the tree of knowledge and evil, the 7 churches and other apocalyptic literature is a game changer as one who has come from the traditional church setting. As a Bible teacher and aspiring Hebrew teacher my experience maybe somewhat different from the normal student. Hence studying the Hebraic context of any biblical text creates a longing for more study and the presence of Yeshua. “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of Kings”. Proverbs 25:2. תודה

The instructor is wonderful! She educates with joy and uses very helpful supplemental materials.

Dr. Bosman is an excellent teacher. He makes learning Hebrew fun and exciting!

The course is an excellent way to learn Hebrew and at the same time deepen your biblical knowledge and really understand the context of the people who wrote and developed the books of the bible.

I woke up thinking about this, actually! In Hebrew A I learned to understand the letters and vowels of the Hebrew Alef bet… and some vocabulary. We went deeper into understanding with Hebrew B… and Francois is a great teacher. I never felt dumb when I made a mistake… because mistakes are how we learn to do it right. It is really coming together in Hebrew C with Annie… she is also a great teacher and I am finally learning a little bit about making sense of a sentence in Scripture! I am best buds with my Concordance and Lexicon… and am very thankful for IIBS being there for the world to learn to read the original text of God’s Word!

I have had an amazing experience. The material is laid out well, and the teacher is very thorough, answering any questions along the way. There is a lot of information to commit to memory, but the work is worth it. It's also great to learn with other students from around the world.

I have enjoyed the training immensely. I have encountered some personal challenges because I have some neurological challenges. However I am still working to learn as well as attain certification.

a bit overwhelmed. I had never taken a language class and I had no idea what to expect. Chris is really good at explaining things and giving us the history of Hebrew. I don’t have the alphabet memorized yet. However, I can read some Hebrew when I see it. To me, this is so exciting. I look forward to Tuesday mornings because this is when I have my class. I make sure nothing interferes with my class. Thank you so much for allowing me to learn Hebrew and having Chris teach this class!!

I really enjoy all my classes. I'm mostly taking biblical Hebrew since October '24 (now in level C) but also some other, Tanach and Jewish life related classes. I really like my teacher who cares deeply about teaching, and she goes above and beyond every time. The materials are great and they work IF you work it. And the Institute has a ton of other resources, practice times, seminars that are free to use or attend. I highly recommend! There is something for everybody.

The teacher is patient, encouraging and understanding with us beginners. The teacher also provides insights that are related to Hebrew but not necessarily covered in the curriculum. I’m having a good time I’m hoping future unforeseen circumstances don’t get in the way.

They did debit 125€ for a month and didn’t even transfer the amount of money back after I didn’t get a respond of them!

Easy to follow the lessons. The recordings helped a lot, because I am able to pick up information that I missed during the live classes. The teacher was knowledgeable and respectful and engaged students in the class readings and exercises.

Great customer service when my first class was not working out. I was given a chance to get a different teacher at a different time and start the class over. It has made all the difference and I love my new teacher and look forward to each class. He makes it understandable, fun, easy. Thank you.
