I have just finished a beginners course with Joe Queen . The course was well structured and instructed. Joe mixed theory with practice in just the right measure to ensure we were always fully engaged . I have come away feeling confident that after a little
practice it will be time to hit the course. I will definitely revisit Joe and team for more lessons as my game progresses, most importantly they made the process so enjoyable .

I have just returned from a three day intermediate course @ J Andrews Golf School. Joe my instructor was so professional, patient & knowledgeable. He was able to deconstruct the golf swing/ driving /chipping/ pitching / bunkers & putting in such a way & make it so simple. Using the Trackman Technology is really helpful as you can actually see how you are executing your shots before / after tuition . My understanding has increased so much I feel so confident that with lots of practice I know my game will improve.
I thoroughly enjoyed this intensive 3 days & being able to go & play the golf courses in the afternoon & stay at the hotel is such a good idea. Big THANKYOU Jo.

We enjoyed a 3 day course of tuition in the beginner's class with Joe Queen as our instructor. The tuition was great, we both achieved our objectives. The facilities are great, they use Trackman to record every aspect of every swing which Joe then uses to help us interpret not only what went wrong but how to fix it. Thanks Joe. We look forward to returning at some point for the intermediate class.

Myself and my husband have just completed the three day intermediate course with Joe Queen. Joe, our instructor, was friendly, welcoming and thoroughly professional. His identification, analysis and diagnosis of issues affecting our game was addressed by working on the small details that made big differences. Joe was patient and found different ways to get across the same point which is always really helpful when trying to learn. The technology was a great asset in showing you where you were going wrong and receiving this after the course is also very useful. All in all a great experience.

Having been to the James Andrews School of Golf before, I recently made a return visit; looking to make some more progress with my game.

Joe Queen was my coach and he quickly identified my key faults. He explained everything very clearly and showed me the reasons why I was shallowing out too much, getting a bit trapped which then resulted in a loss of posture and a flicking action into impact.

Over the sessions, we worked on improving my right shoulder and hand position whilst clearing the left side, all of which have greatly improved my swing and ball striking.

Using Trackman technology on the driving range, I could very quickly see where I was going wrong. Joe used the Trackman to also help me improve my weight shift by showing me the results when I hit down more on the ball.

Another benefit of Trackman is that it records a video of each shot and Joe later kindly sent me an e mail for me to check out and assess progress. This also acts as a brilliant reminder to re-visit, as it is so easy to fall back into old habits!

We also spent time on the short game playing from various lies around the practice green and in the bunker. The changes Joe made meant that the chipping stroke and pitch shot, were just smaller versions of the main swing. This helped to simplify things and will certainly help my game in the future.

I stayed overnight at the very smart Stoke by Nayland hotel which is located just a few hundred yards from the golf school. The hotel is set in the grounds of two 18 hole golf courses looking out over the wonderful 'Constable' countryside. It also has a pool, spa and leisure complex and is the perfect place to relax after some time on the range.

In summary, I found my visit to be very worthwhile and it has shown up in some of my recent golf. Returning to the back tees this week, I was level par for 9 holes in the middle of my round!

I have just returned from the 3 day intermediate course with Joe of James Andrew Golf School. The whole experience was relaxed and thoroughly informative, with intense one to one teaching. I hit the strongest golf shots of my fledgling golf career, and have lifted my game significantly. The hotel provided a good value and convenient base. Many thanks to all.

I booked the intermediate course for myself and my son to improve our golf swing. Joe Queen was our instructor who was excellent in explaining the changes required to our swings. The 2 days course was very comprehensive - swing practice on driving range and short game each morning and then time on the two 18 hole courses in the afternoon. The use of trackman and the report provided after attending is a very good way to ensure that you have the tools to work on the improvements following the course. The facilities at the golf school and hotel were very good.

I attended the two days Beginner’s Course in Feb/March 2020 when I just started playing golf. I enjoyed it thoroughly and started playing regularly after that. I joined my local golf club this year and went back for the three days Intermediate Course in November 2021. I had excellent experience this time again from the friendly instructor Joe and others in the school. Hotel accommodation was very pleasing on both occasions. I will highly recommend this to any golfer who wants to learn the game properly. I will go back again to refresh my knowledge and technique of the game to reduce my handicap.

I have just come back from a 2-day 1-to-1 course at James Andrews Golf School, located in the Stoke by Nayland resort. I was coached by Joe Queen who was a amazing coach. The whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish.
I went for the 1-to-1 option to make sure I fully immerse myself in golf for 2 days and have a better chance of returning to form after several years of not picking up a club. Both days were packed, from 8.30 in the morning to 4pm with a break for lunch. Joe was methodical, patient and always managed to explain what he wanted from me in a very clear way. Joe was also making great use of the advanced tracking & monitoring technologies, enriching his narrative and making it much easier for me to improve my swing.
I have honestly progressed more as a golfer from two days with Joe than I did in my whole journey of learning to play up to this point.
I will certainly be back for more and highly recommend James Andrews Golf School and Joe to all who care about improving their game!

My wife and I attended the three day golf school and can’t believe how much my game has improved as a result. Joe Queen is a superb coach. He spots and addresses technical flaws in a way that enables you to put into immediate practice and at the same time his encouraging style improved my confidence. The technology utilised by the school is very powerful and the follow up provides ongoing reminders of the key learning points tailored to our individual needs.

Just come back from a tremendous experience at the James Andrew Golf Academy. Our group of 4 intermediary golfers received exemplary tuition from Joe Queen. The progress made in just 3 days was clearly evident across the whole group. With the video tracking and Joe’s experienced and professional eye he was able to address our individual issues across all aspects of the game in a very encouraging and productive way. I came away feeling enthused, motivated but also with some great practice drills and vast improvement in my technique. Two days after returning I played 18 holes and shot my very first birdie ever, I don’t think that was coincidence. I can’t recommend this experience enough and I will be back.

Just back from the three-day (intensive) James Andrews golf school at Stoke by Nayland. An amazing few days under the expert guidance of Joe Queen. The combination of high speed video capture and an experienced instructor's eye showed very clearly, and believably, what was not quite what it needed to be in my swing and my 'natural' feeling for striking the golf ball. Crucially, Joe was able to modify the defects without it feeling like he had dismantled everything that felt okay already. Honestly, the 'new swing' doesn't just feel less awkward it feels less demanding. Everyone's heard stories about making less effort, yet hitting the ball further and more accurately....well it's true. Joe also made the connection with 'tempo', that all important factor to use less swing speed to control distance rather than limit the range of swing that felt comfortable. I learned so much...and it felt so correct...and from someone who's watched a LOT of improvement videos it was the most coherent instruction I've yet received. I couldn't recommend it highly enough...the immersion nature of the course is part of its strength as you continually reinforce the correct procedures until they feel normal. I now can't wait to get out on the course and generally feel a lot more confident that I decide where the ball lands!...not always obviously, everyone hits an occasional duffer! If you can afford the time, I'd highly recommend booking the course.

Three of us attended a 3 day course at the golf school last week (21st July 2021). The course and instructor, Joe, exceeded any expectations we had. Joe was an excellent instructor and focused on each of our weaknesses, building in drills and routines to help us improve our swings and set-ups. Every aspect of the game was covered and Joe tailored his teaching to our needs.

After the course Joe sent us detailed information on what we learned, including videos and drills to help us practice and progress.

We will definitely go back at some stage, it was so much better immersing yourself over a few days rather than having 1 hour lessons every few weeks!

Totally recommend this to anyone wanted to improve their golf games!

My wife and I both did a 3-day golf school at Stoke-by-Nayland. I did the advanced class with James and she did a beginners course (she was the only pupil so benefitted from one-on-one tuition) with Paul. The tuition was top class; Paul came highly recommended as a brilliant teacher for beginners and he didn't disappoint - he was both understanding and enthusiastic in equal measure. He covered a huge amount of ground and at the end of the course, my wife felt confident enough to play ten holes on the Constable course, and really enjoyed it. I was one of four in our class and that worked better for me as we could learn from watching our colleagues as well. James was very hands-on, forensically exhibiting our swing faults on the Trackman system and showing us what drills we could employ to put them right. Having three days meant played a round on both courses in the afternoon after our tuition in the morning, which added to the experience as both are excellent tracks. I have just received James's post-course analysis of my various swing sequences, and it was really detailed so I can work on them in my own time. One of his team even couriered my 7-iron back to me after I had left it on the range! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend James and his golf schools to any grade of golfer. As for the accommodation, that also fitted the bill perfectly. There are also some excellent pubs nearby like the Crown at Stoke-by-Nayland (5 mins) and the Angel at Lavenham (20 mins) for dinners out. Overall, well worth the 5-star rating, and we hope to return in the future.

Having had no formal coaching, did a 3 day Intermediate course with Joe in July 2021. It was exactly what I wanted; clear instruction in the fundamentals of golf, then tailored to the specific 'quirks' of my game.

The structure of coaching in the morning and playing in the afternoon was also great. Meant you were not overloaded and had the opportunity to put what had been taught into practice immediately.

Would highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their golf.

Excellently structured course to logically build a swing and ultimately improve in this technically important sport. Joe was outstanding !
