I've bought several pieces of jewellery from James Newman over the last few years, and in addition to the quality of workmanship, the customer service is fantastic.

The experience of buying my wedding ring at James Newman Jewellery was wonderfully happy. James and his team were so welcoming, patient and full of expert advice and kindness. They are highly skilled artisans, and as someone who makes jewellery as a hobby, it was a delight to see their studio and learn about the techniques they used to make my ring and others in the shop. Thank you to James and his team for such a wonderful piece of jewellery and such a happy day!

It is my second time that I bought a ring with them and I have to say that in addition to the fact that they are so beautiful, the service and customer service are incredibly good.! Fully recommend it

We bought a James Newman engagement ring around 15 years ago from a shop in Chester. Unfortunately the ring was lost and never found. So I contacted James directly and explained that I’d like to replace the ring as a surprise for my partners 50th. James actually remembered the ring and made a beautiful copy which obviously did the trick as we then got married 6 months later. We did, of course, visit James first to choose our wedding rings and again they are just as beautiful as the engagement ring.
Not only is James Newmans jewellery beautifully unique but James and his colleagues are genuine lovely friendly people, laid back professionalism.

After seeing James jewellery on Instagram I approached him with regard to making an inheritance piece of jewellery from my late mums wedding and engagement rings.
From the drawings to the collection of the finished ring I was impressed with how professional and empathetic he was to my requests

My husband and I were looking for a jeweller to make my engagement ring similar to a design I'd seen and loved. We found James through a wander around the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, and I'm so glad we did! He made the whole process feel so special - I will never forget the moment of actually choosing which diamond was to go in my ring, or trying on the silver version to check the fit before the final version was made. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the ring I have is absolutely beautiful - I often get comments on it. I highly recommend! Thank you very much James and team.

My husband and I booked an appointment to design a ring for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. However, we ended up buying one from the shop which was ready made. There’s not a way to express what an incredible experience we had. James is lovely, personable and the whole experience was very special. We shall be back, of that I have no doubt!

We happened upon James Newman Jewellery back in 2008 and have returned numerous times and quite honestly I wouldn’t buy jewellery from anywhere else. The designs are outstanding, the service and quality are second to none and the choice of jewellery covers all price brackets.

I had chosen what I wanted and it was most important to me that the quality of the diaminds showed through. I couldn't put the right date in as "The Computer" wouldn't let me, but I have had my ring for about 10 years and still it is admired and commented about from many other people and I glance at it and think "WoW" all the time. What we wanted wasn’t exactly along James’ usual style, but that wasn’t an issue at all and we’re so pleased that we went to James.

James and the team were absolutely lovely. I didn't know anything about getting a bespoke ring made but I did know what I was looking for and my sister had drawn something for me. I showed it to James and he took the time to listen to me, discuss all the possibilities and answer my many questions about the process, so I knew exactly what was going on at every stage. The result was a truly beautiful ring with ocean blue sapphires, that look amazing especially in the sunlight, set in the warmth of white gold. I was a little lost for words when he showed me the finished ring! James gave my ring a mixture of a satin and polished finish which brings out the ring's features. His design choices were prefect. I am very grateful to him and the team as I have spent years looking for my perfect ring and now I have it and it will be with me always. A really positive and exciting experience from start to finish. Thank you :-)

I worked with James to design a bespoke ring. He had patience with me as several ideas were suggested and several stones were considered. Eventually the end result was one far greater than I could of dreamt of. All thanks to James!

Having travelled to the Jewellery Quarter to look for a statement ring for my Wife's 10th wedding anniversary, she did not know specifically what design she wanted.

There are a major amount of standard off the shelf rings amongst the many stores in the Quarter, but we found upon a small store which was clearly a custom designer of differing jewellery and so the journey started.

Mary gave the design team an idea of the type of ring she was looking for and the stones she wanted in the ring.

Mary was shown a few ideas of previous work they had done and discussed what was possible.

The time they took to listen to Mary's requirements was exceptionally professional, no pressure to go in a another direction.

After 1 hour we had a design concept and agreement made.

2 weeks later she was sent a CAD design of the ring and a week later a mock up of the ring.

4 weeks later advised the ring was finished and off the Birmingham we went.

The ring exceeded all Mary's expectations and is thrilled to bits with it.

From walking through the doors to collecting the finished ring this has been not just a purchase but an experience we both will not forget.

We can recommend James and his highly talented team of Artisans to anyone looking for the perfect customised special piece of Jewellery.
