I had a really terrible experience with…

I had a really terrible experience with a car dealer in Birmingham. They completely wasted my time and effort. Everything was set—my money was ready—but on the day I was supposed to pick up the car, they told me it was sold. The strange part is, online it still showed as available. Even my friend went to the store and saw the car just sitting there. If it had been sold, there would have been a sticker saying it was reserved or sold, but there was nothing. Another thing to note—if you check their mileage readings, they’re all similar: 58,000, 60,000, 62,000. What kind of cars in Japan stop being driven right at those mileages? They’ve all clearly rolled back their meters. Please keep this in mind—check the reviews and be careful before dealing with them.

Worst experience EVER!

Worst experience EVER!! Don't do what I did and not read reviews or go with my gut feeling before buying a car from here!! Read the reviews and LISTEN!! DO NOT BUY A CAR from this dealer. I bought a car and after driving away the engine light was on and I retuned it the VERY NEXT DAY. I had a battle getting my refund back and they was running rings around me! They are meant to be people of God and selling Botched cars- millage was also misleading online... I would give zero stars if I could.

⚠️ Buyer Warning

⚠️ Buyer Warning – Please Read Before Purchasing

I’m sharing my experience with Jan London Trade so other buyers can be aware of what to look out for.

I viewed a used car here after being told multiple times it was ready for collection. When I arrived, the vehicle did not appear to be in a roadworthy condition based on what I personally saw.

This included:
• Coolant level below minimum
• Oil level below minimum
• The ECU not secured and resting on a piece of cardboard (I have photos from the viewing)
• The overall state suggested to me that the car had not been properly prepared, despite being told it had already been to a garage

During the viewing, the person showing me the car also seemed unsure about basic components. For example, when I asked about the coolant, it appeared to me that he did not know what it was or where it should be checked. This made me even less confident about the vehicle’s preparation.

When I raised these issues and said I did not want to continue with the purchase, I was told there would be a cancellation charge based on a policy I had never been shown, agreed to, or signed before paying a deposit.

Getting my deposit back became very difficult, and I only received the full amount after taking formal steps.

I’m sharing this simply to help other buyers be aware.
If you are considering buying here, I would strongly recommend:
• Inspecting the vehicle thoroughly before leaving a deposit
• Asking for all terms and policies in writing before paying anything
• Not assuming a car has been checked or serviced without seeing clear evidence

This is my personal experience of the process, and I hope it helps others make an informed decision.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. Do not buy cars from this showroom. I bought Toyota Sienta 2020 after test drive I liked the car took the pictures and paid the deposit then I waited for 5 weeks for v5c to arrive. On the day of collection the car was parked outside and what I saw was they changed the alloy rims and tyres. They put wheels caps with simple steel rims. When I complained the guy said these tyres came from Japan in it than I showed them the pictures which I took after test drive then the technician said its not their car showroom pictures luckily in the pictures their showroom name was visible. Also they put rear fog light which they removed and left the 3 holes unfilled with wire hanging in the rear bumper. Also when I gave deposit the car was driven 55,000 plus km's and when I got delivery the car was driven 70,000 plus km's. Unfortunately I didn't took milage pictures so I couldn't prove the milage discrepancy. I don't know how they are still in business. Extremely dodgy seller. They do not provide a single document from Japan about the car history or milage. The showroom was absolute chaotic vans going in and out tyres rolling between cars no professionalism. Avoid at all cost they just want to sell their car very pushy sales. No one in showroom knows what their role is. I have got all proof of sales. The only reason I bought was my kids liked the colour otherwise I would have asked for my deposit return.
