Way too expensive for what you get!

Ordered a Japan Crate because I always wanted to try out a Japanese Snack Box. It took over a month to arrive. I payed about 50€ for the Box and had to pay 10€ extra for Customs. What I got was barely worth 20 Bucks, a few small Candies, a very small Cookie, two Savory Snacks, a Drink and a Pen that looks cool but is barely usable. All very plain and obviously very cheap, nothing fancy or entertaining. Also the DIY-Kit was missing.
Wouldn't recommend and won't ever purchase again!

Love these things

The crates always have unique quality items that my family & I are eager to try. Rarely have I been disappointed, but even then it was because of personal taste rather than poor item.

I love the snack crate

I love the snack crate. There are plenty of desserts and snacks to try and there is a lot of variety from month to month. I especially like the drink that’s included. It’s always something fun and different than anything you can buy here in the states.

Don’t Buy. 5-star Reviews Are Bots

Had JapanCrate from Jan 2023 to July 2023 and they charge the standard $50 premium for their boxes even though they’re giving you maybe $30 worth of snacks. They try to make up the remaining $20 in either a lottery you may win (which I doubt anyone actually wins lmao) or a $0.25 toy. To make matters worse they try to have a monthly theme but use many repetitive snacks over the months. They always include a cotton candy, grape gum, a few KitKats, some kind of seafood flavored chips or crackers, chocolate, and hard candy. Absolutely nothing special. One month for the drink they included an alcoholic drink for the drink that month. What’s wrong with you guys? When it comes to shipping they advertise 1-5 business days to ship out. Some months it took 20+ business days to get the crate to UPS then another 3 or 4 days to deliver. Absolutely unacceptable and I had to drop my subscription and I’m leaving bad reviews on every site.

Was not able to enjoy this month’s treats

Unfortunately I was not able to receive June’s crate and was not the best experience. However Japan Crate did their best to make everything right. Hopefully I will be able try again soon with a much better experience.

A good and bad side, but overall great

I purchase snack box with Japan Crate last January, and while their email support was top-notch, I encountered delays with my delivery. The prompt and helpful responses from their support team were commendable, but the late arrival of my order was disappointing. Improving their delivery process would greatly enhance the overall customer experience. Hopeful for better service in the future.

Worth every penny!

My children and I look forward to our Japan Crate every month. There is always a great assortment of Japanese snacks in every box: some are full size, some are sample size, some are sweet, some are savoury, and there is always a drink and a "craft snack" to have fun with. Japan Crate always keeps us updated with friendly emails about the status of our account and any changes to pricing and shipping status. 本当にありがとうございます!

Overall

Overall, these crates are just fantastic! I've been receiving them for many years. The selection and variety of products is also fantastic. It would be nice that so my favorite products, would be available to purchase. The cherry blossom box this year with a little underwhelming compared to the past years. But the products are still delicious and fun. My six-year-old enjoys going through the boxes with me as well and try new things
