They're getting greedy and greedy. They don't like to price match any true competitor and their prices are marked up about 30% compared to elsewhere.

I've been with Telstra mobile for 17yrs, walked into Jb hi fi about 8 yrs ago to buy a phone outright & got offered a better plan which I accepted, everything ticked over perfectly for roughly 8 years, still got my monthly bill from Telstra ......... fast forward to October 2024 & I don't get a bill form Telstra- when I contact Telstra they say I have a JB HI FI Plan & I need to contact them and thats when things go down hill, it appears they don't issue an account & you have to go looking for it, then I missed an International call from New Zealand - when I tried calling back to New Zealand it appears I don't have the authority to call international.
Their website is absolute sh*t with flashing yellow crap everywhere.

Walked into the Dandenong store on Friday after visiting two opposition stores and met Baxter. His product knowledge, customer service and explanation of the different models of TV was absolutely outstanding. Walked out of the store 3.5K lighter in the pocket but very happy!

Paid for express post as I needed my goods asap only for me to have to pick it up myself two days after due date and too late for my event. Disappointed with After-Sales Support
I’ve been a loyal JB Hi-Fi customer for so long, regularly purchasing products because of the great service I’ve always received in-store. However, my recent experience with their after-sales support has been incredibly disappointing.
I purchased a laptop for basic tasks, as recommended by the staff, but it started having performance issues shortly after purchase. Despite multiple requests for help, I feel like I’ve had to beg for assistance. I rely on this laptop for my studies and exams, and the delays in support are causing me significant stress.
It’s clear that JB Hi-Fi provides excellent service when making a purchase, but unfortunately, this same level of care doesn’t extend to after-sales support. If you’re considering buying from here, be prepared for great service at the point of sale, but don’t expect the same level of help if something goes wrong later.
I hope no other loyal customers have to experience what I’ve gone through.

Regarding Hervey Bay JBhifi: There were no zero star options unfortunately. I am writing this review because I want to make sure nobody else has the experience I have had as in my opinion it is not a good idea at all to sign up for any contract with JB Hervey Bay or trust their advice. In my personal opinion they only seem to care about sales and don't seem to give a damn about people and ethics. I swapped out a perfectly working 2023 model Netgear wifi for an newer model as they told me it would improve the coverage as my son wasn't getting good reception in his bedroom. I didn't go into the store to buy a new netgear, I went in to extend my coverage. They recommended the new Netgear to me as the best solution. The new one was faulty and dropped out constantly. I let them know the next day but there was nothing I could do about it. Even though my old one worked much better than the new one and the new one was totally useless I let them know right away JB would not let me out of the contract and not provide any solution other than giving me store credit but it had already cost me $200 to cancel my old contract for the new one and so I ended up far worse off than when I walked into the store. In fact the lady Ash and the security guard she called over simply because other customers were hearing me complain were, in my opinion very rude and dismissive, and one of the staff in my opinion, from my perspective I heard him say that I had no chance taking them to court about it because they were a big store and would win. It seemed to me in my opinion that they felt they could get away with this easily and I wondered to myself how often they do. As a long term customer who has spent thousands at the store and has two long term phone plans that are out of contract which I will now cancel, plus a determination to take them to court no matter what the cost, this will end up costing them a LOT... I mean THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars over time more than if they had done the right thing in the first place. I know a lot of people and will be sharing my experience widely. Very widely. Shame on you guys!! I don't know how you guys sleep at night
$2700 for simple install of a washing machine.

Cost of install of a washing machine $2700 - with still nothing installed.
Payed $200 for installation of a washing machine. The installers arrived and stared at the washing machine for 90 minutes, saying they felt unsafe moving the washing machine with their trolley which was rated for 300kg.
I took a day off work today for it, costing me $1,000. Payed $200 for the installation, which needed to be done before the laundry cabinets get built around it tomorrow. I now need to pay a $500 cancellation fee for the cabinet maker and take another day off work next week when another team can do the job costing me another $1,000 off work.
So far, the install of this washing machine has cost me $2700 and I'm still having to wash my clothes at a laundromat because of ill-equiped installation staff.
Office works is better than JB-HI-FI
Very, very disappointed with you. The price 14" HD Touchscreen Chromebook (Intel N100)[64GB], your price was $359.00, and Officeworks beat you by 2 dollars. Their price was $357.00. Also, the price fo the HP 15a-nb0009TU 15.6" Full HD Chromebook Plus (128GB)[Intel i3] is $549.00, while Officeworks beat you with a price of $2.00. Their price was $547.00. Also, the price at JB-HI-FI for the Motorola g85 is $399.00, while at Officeworks, yet again, Officeworks gave it a cheaper price of $397.00. Like, it just looks like JB-HI-FI buys items from Officeworks and sells them for a slightly higher price. I have noticed this price difference for a long time. Also, it says "Seen a cheaper price? Ask for a JB deal!" But like, I have seen it cheaper, but did I get a deal? No. So for cheap electronics shop from Officeworks!

I just bought a SD card from JB hi fi And the ST card went full in roughly 10 minutes it was a Samsung I also bought a camera had a lot of trouble getting it running properly at the last minute I figured it out and I’m not saying everything is is bad at JB hi-fi somethings are good and somethings are bad which in a way is kind of scary when you spend $200 or more Sony camera
