Purchased a Elddis Majestic 135 from JC Leisure in April 2025 at a cost of £42,000 and since we have had numerous issues with the vehicle, and also the after sales and communication which is diabolical.
The first weekend we went away with vehicle and set up on site, we found the hot water system failed. We was told all used motorhomes come with a full habitation check. We were told this would be the case and was told it had to have a habitation checked yearly but found out that the last check was done in September 2024. This therefore meant it would need another check in September 2025 which were not made aware when we purchased the vehicle. I wouldn’t expect after paying £42.000 to have to pay out for another habitation check just 5 months after the purchase. When I raised this I made JC Leisure and I was told don’t worry about that we can sort that out. When all this came to light in January 2026 and we found out the current certificate had run out 4 months earlier thus making the warranty null and void. When I questioned with them on whether the motorhome had a habitation check when it was sold to us they said yes it had so I asked for copy of this check. About a month later I had a recorded delivery from them and inside was a photo copied habitation which was a copy of the September 2024 check with the previous owners name removed and my name inserted, also the September date had been changed and adjusted to read May 2025.
I know on that day the vehicle was only on site for 1 hour for another issue. Also when they filled out my warranty paperwork they put the vehicle mileage down as 50000 miles when in fact it had only done 7500 miles.
Last summer the vehicle spent a total of 101 days on their site resolving issues to many to list. Recently we decided we had had enough and we would part exchange the vehicle at another dealer only for them to inform us that there is damp issues with the inside of the vehicle. When I checked the habitation certificate I found out that the damp checks had been ticked on the check sheet but no meter numbers, calibration dates for meters, technician name or signature had been done on the damp check sheet so assume they had just ticked the box. When I asked the company about the doctored habitation certificate they called it a
“transposing error” which I totally repute as why when a copy did it need a hand written date unless to try to make it look like a new habitation check had been done? Also when I purchased the vehicle I told I would have 3 years warranty for peace of mind, but what they didn’t tell me is that to keep the mechanical warranty you have to have a mechanical service every 6 MONTHS !!! which is amazing as the vehicle has only done 2500 miles since April 2025. All warranties I know of if you don’t achieve the mileage it says service every 12 months certainly not 6 months.
I would suggest anyone making a purchase from this dealer does so with extreme caution.
Currently the trading standards are looking into these issues.

Huge kudos to JC Leisure! Just as we were preparing for a holiday trip, our Truma combo stopped working, and we feared we'd have to call off our plans. However, they came through and installed a new one just in time for our Christmas Eve departure. They're definitely a dependable and trustworthy company. Much appreciation to everyone, both in the office and the workshop. You're amazing!

Another shout out to JC Leisure! Our Truma combo packed up with a Christmas trip looming. We thought we would have to cancel, but they were able to get us a new one fitted before we leave on Christmas Eve.

We store our Benimar Tessoro motorhome at JC Leisure and the workshops sort out our little issues that crop up every now and again. (new water pump / replacement leisure batteries and sorting out our little travel mishaps!!) We always really appreciate the first class service that Lucy, Paul and the JC Workshop Team give us. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.

Just purchased a camper from JC leisure. Highly recommend We dealt with Paul. We found him very helpful and knowledgeable and honest. Will be taking the camper back each year for a service and anything else it needs.. we absolutely love our little van

I spoke to a very polite lady, called Angela. My enquiry was regarding storage of a touring caravan I was looking to buy. She told me to pop down and she would show me plots that were available She even went as far to say I won't be in this day if you turn up. So we popped down the day before purchase Angela showed us around we filled in necessary paper work. Chose our location with Angela all done.It was simple, organised. Angela was super helpful.

We had our second day of our vacation, from Holland and experienced problems with our gassystem. Although JC Leisure had a full planning, they took some time to search for our problem. After a short time he returnes and said the problem was fixed (shortage of knowledge on our side :)). They did not charge anything. So lots of compliments for this campany. Thank you very much.
