I like the vast number of machines available even from the same type which means that even during busy hours, I could have the chance to continue my workout without interruption as there are alternatives to what I could train.

Good range of machines, some totally different than they have in other gyms which is brilliant. The cable machines are always busy yet there is never enough attachments for everyone which leads to lingering gym members rushing you! There is no hip thrust machine which is a big negative especially when there’s tons of bikes & cross trainers always not being used. Don’t think it’s practical you can only enter & leave once! Left my water in the car & couldn’t get back in.

I went to JD Gym Bolton with my best friend and her husband, and I was honestly disgusted by what I witnessed.
A young girl - JD staff blond hair aggressively confronted a woman for not wearing shoes. What makes this unacceptable is that I wasn’t wearing shoes either, and neither were a few other men nearby, yet she ignored everyone else and singled this woman out. She harshly demanded that she put her shoes on “RIGHT NOW” and even insisted on watching her do it.
The tone was bullying, confrontational, and totally unnecessary - it was about power and disrespect. No professionalism, no courtesy, just intimidation.
A gym should feel safe and welcoming, not like staff are on a power trip.
Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and I won’t be returning.

I visited JD Gym Bolton a few days ago with my best friend and my husband as we were looking for a new gym. We were obviously expecting a positive and motivating environment. Unfortunately, what we witnessed was shocking. A young JD staff member with dark blond hair was extremely rude to a girl who was simply trying to exercise. The way she spoke to her was disrespectful, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. It made the atmosphere uncomfortable for everyone around.
A gym should be a supportive place, not one where staff embarrass or intimidate members. Very disappointing experience and this is definitely not the gym we will be attending to.

I have been a member of JD for some time and generally enjoy the facilities. However, I need to report repeated behavior from a female staff member who has consistently singled me out during my workouts. On every occasion, I have been approached for training without shoes, even while performing non-weight exercises, whereas other members doing the same were not addressed at all. It is noticeable that her attention is specifically targeted at me, showing clear personal bias.
This repeated, targeted behavior feels personal and has made my visits uncomfortable. I believe JD should be aware that employing staff who act in this way can negatively affect members’ experiences and the overall environment of the gym.

It’s a good gym, decent size, over all good equipment. Had no problems what so ever with the gym itself nor the staff. They all are very helpful and friendly, the only issue is the lack of only A FEW machines, for example the hip thrust (no machine, just the floor one with a bar and only being only one) and the hyper extension machine. This also comes with people staying on one of these machine for over 30/40 mins, which I have recently had to deal with and it becomes impossible to even get to it sometimes. Especially when hip thrust is one of the first ones to be done. Other than that, glad I’m going here!

Equipment is very cramped together and there are not as many classes on offer as I’m used to at other gyms I’ve been a member of. It’s okay for a cheap monthly fee but facilities are more at the basic end compared to other gyms I’ve been a member of, but it’s adequate for the price.

This is more of a rant about the gym users! Dumbbells are left all over the gym and never racked in the correct place. Weighted plates are left on the machines the gym users use!
The gym changing rooms smell as well as the shower, used blades, boxers, and bottles are found in the changing room and showers.
I think you need people on site and be strict with those who leave a mess and cancellation their membership.
The facilities are amazing but never been to a 24 hrs gym as messy and unhygienic as this one.

Good gym, great staff. Cleanliness has seen a massive improvement.
