I love my gym experience at JD…
I love my gym experience at JD Charlton. The equipment is plentiful, even during the busiest times of the day; no wait there.
In particular, I’d like to shoutout Dimitrios for always being helpful and vigilant as I’ve had all my queries answered and he’s been incredibly helpful.

Fantastic gym with a great atmosphere
Fantastic gym with a great atmosphere. The equipment is excellent, with loads of fresh, modern equipment available, so you’re never short of options for your workout.
Everything feels well maintained, clean and up to date, with a really good variety of machines and free weights. You can tell there has been real investment into improving the facilities.
Definitely one of the better gyms I’ve trained at. Highly recommend!

Dimitrios is a great manager
Dimitrios is a great manager, he keeps the place running smoothly and efficiently. since i joined when it first opened he has been here every morning extremely early making sure everything is in the correct place to make it easier for members to find and just to make the place better in general, you can tell that he enjoys his job and is always happy to help a member in need. The place itself is amazing as well. All the best equipment, some that i’ve never even seen before. Great changing/toilet facilities. Refrigerated vending machine’s for water, protein shakes, pre workout and more. Before this gym opened i wasn’t really motivated to go because at all the other gyms i tried i had to wait to use equipment, but since joining this gym i haven’t had to wait to wait to use anything. In conclusion this is an amazing gym with great staff being lead by a great manager.

Tripods everywhere!!
This gym has become truly awful. Members constantly block pathways with tripods, creating hazards, and management clearly doesn't care. I've been filmed without my consent multiple times, which is incredibly unsettling. No one should feel exposed during a workout. JD Gyms Charlton desperately needs a proper filming policy and staff to enforce it. I definitely do not recommend this gym for anyone who values their privacy or safety. Avoid at all costs!

This does not reflect what is actually happening at JD Gyms Charlton.
I have already contacted customer service directly about this issue and was told that it would be looked into. However, the problem is ongoing. Tripods and filming are not an occasional occurrence they are constantly present throughout the gym, including in walkways and training areas. In fact, I have personally seen staff helping members set up their tripods.
Your own response states that filming setups must not disrupt others, block equipment or create an obstruction. That is exactly the issue I raised. Simply telling members to report it to staff doesn't solve the problem when it is happening repeatedly and appears to be routinely tolerated.
I've also been filmed without my consent on multiple occasions, which has made me extremely uncomfortable while training. This isn't about preventing people from filming themselves. People can film their workouts, but it should not come at the expense of other members' safety, privacy or ability to train comfortably.
If JD Gyms has rules regarding filming, tripods and obstructions, those rules need to be properly enforced. Otherwise, they're just words on a policy page.
I would appreciate JD Gyms actually investigating what is happening at the Charlton branch rather than providing a generic response about rules that, from my experience, are clearly not being consistently enforced.

As part of our gym rules, filming and photography must not include other members without their clear permission, and any setup that disrupts others, blocks equipment, or creates an obstruction is not permitted. We also make it clear that all members deserve to train comfortably and privately, and our team may ask members to stop filming if it is impacting others or the gym environment.
If you ever feel uncomfortable or believe another member is not following these rules, please bring this to the attention of the gym team at the time so it can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

The gym is so amazing
The gym is so amazing! Very affordable and lots of free parking. It has so many machines, a lot I’ve never seen before. The place is clean. Aesthetics are lovely and the staff were so friendly. Josh was super helpful, showing us around the gym and assisting with our sign ups. Can’t wait to be attending this gym regularly!

Wow where do I start!
Wow where do I start, this gym has everything, from perfect lighting, air conditioning and enough weights to go around for everyone. The gym cateers for every gym goers from advanced trainers to beginners. The staff are fantasitic and are always willing to help you on your fitness jurney or just give advice. I would say it is great value for your money!
