Good quality gym with plenty of machines, which means even during the busiest times you can get some equipment.

Great atmosphere, great staff always willing to help and taking care of the gym space. A lot of cardio machines and equipment. Changing rooms are nicely sized and can beat the sauna!

Awful company. I cancelled my membership over three weeks ago, and they still charged me for the next month. According to their fine print they need 30 DAYS to process your cancellation, on A MONTHTLY MEMBERSHIP. Absolutely absurd. And they oh so conveniently processed my cancellation the day after they charged me. Scummy business practices and awful management.
Nice gym, good layout, large changing rooms & shower facilities also the lockers are free to use which is always a bonus, friendly staff, Lucas (who I think is the assistant manager) is very friendly & easily approachable (just a shame he doesn't do personal training anymore lol), & there were 2 members of staff in the car park (Billy & Rachael) who approached me ref: having a blue badge as I was using one of the four the disabled bays (which I appreciated them asking as I do have an issue with the disabled parking), good selection of equipment although I would say being limited to only One of certain types of equipment can be annoying at times especially if there's a few people wanting to use them & have lots of sets to complete.
My only real gripes that stops me from giving JD Gyms Cheltenham a 5* reviews is the QR Code only allows you to enter Once a day!!! for a 24hr gym & at £27 a month I expect to be able to enter as many times as I like without having to be granted entry by a member of staff, even worse if it's out of manned hours, the aforementioned limited pieces of certain equipment which I imagine are even harder to access at busy times & finally the use of the 4 disabled parking bays by non blue badge holders (this is the point when possible JD Gyms Staff figure out who's wrote this lol), I would personally suggest that on the hour, every hour a member of staff pops out to the car park & records the plates of any car in the disabled bays & calls them out over the pa system to get those selfish individuals to move their vehicles, this would help for when those of whom have a genuine blue badge (not their elderly parents or young childs) can park there without issue.
Other than that, it's a good place to be, I've been enjoying so far & I appreciate the opportunity to use a gym in what feels like a pretty stress free & friendly environment 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Working as a personal trainer at this gym has been a disappointing experience. The management lacks direction, and much of their workload is passed onto the personal trainers while they remain disengaged in the office. Personal trainers are not given a platform to voice concerns, and when they do, they are met with dismissive attitudes or even subtle threats about their job security.
The general manager, in particular, is unapproachable and unwilling to work collaboratively with the team.
The final issue arose when I decided to leave. Despite paying
for my membership, I was informed that former employees are banned from using the gym for six months. When I requested this policy in writing, my request was ignored, which I find both unprofessional and discourteous.
As a well-known brand, JD Gyms should hold itself to higher standards, ensuring professionalism, fairness, and respect towards both its staff and members. This experience has left me disappointed with how the company represents itself.

Well equipped and large floor space, however freezing cold as Air Con active even though it is -5 outside. Apparently this can only be managed from Head Office. It is so cold in the Changing rooms you can see your breath and people have taken to getting changed in the Saunas to keep warm. Despite numerous complaints nothing changes. There is also issues around putting weights away which seems to be alien to some people thus there are Weights all over the place. Staff do occasionally attempt to tidy up but to no real avail.
