Regarding David Carroll I have to give him nothing but praise as he is one of the best instructors I have ever had in 10 years of spin classes. Every time David is not well or injured rather than phone in and the class is cancelled he turns up and I would say that his classes are harder and concentrates even more on technique. David has personally mentored me in the last few years and I feel my performance is better due to his coaching

Hi, I am the instructor David Carroll
I am afraid that david pearson has failed to mention. He was on his mobile phone and I asked him to come off of it as he is an instructor and claims to be a les mills ambassador, he should know that it's a health and safety issue also regarding my heart problem this does NOT affect my ability to teach and maybe if Mr Pearson concentrate on his technique on the bike and not taking photographs or streaming himself at a group fitness class that he has not asked for permission to do so, then myself and the other instructors would not find his attitude very arrogant. Also you have just turned 60 as I got the class to give you a clap or were you making this up aswell?

My name is David am well over 60 I have been going to gym for over 43 year now ! I go 2 times a day every day 7 days a week its part of my life am a member of 3 gyms ! I went to a spin class last Sunday morning I was in the class for 9 mins when the spin instructor was verbally abusive to me in front of 5 other members in class there was only 6 in class he called my name out and was so aggressive to me so for my safety I had to leave the class in all my years of going to classes and also teaching classes myself this was the worst ever in any class or gym I have came across! I have reported this by email to head office and said they will hand my information to the General manager but this teacher David Carroll should never be in a class he also told the class he has a heart problem and can't use spin bike !
Just to say thank you to Lynsay, who was polite, courteous and extremely helpful regarding my access issues this morning.

Great gym, plenty of equipment to go round. I go at 3am to avoid the hustle n bustle when it gets busy. And it gets extremely busy from 6am. But other than that it's a fantastic gym in coatbridge

Visit at least 4 times a week and biggest bug bear are those who lift weights and then drop them back onto floor, when there's a sign clearly asking not too. Staff don't seem to care about this, in fact have been seen standing about as it happens. Clearly health and safety do not factor into staff ethos. Two gents were doing it today and a couple of times the weights bounced back up at least half a meter. It is very annoying and must be frightening for the kids using the pool below for swimming lessons.

Very well equipped gym but a couple of major factors let it down. Firstly there are way too many users at any given time meaning that you usually have to wait to get on to something, this goes for off peak times too. Then there are without fail people coming up to you to ask if you are finished using equipment when you are clearly still using it or if they can work in with you, these are usually really intense looking guys on something - the type you’d rather avoid. Then there are the school children, mid to late teens who seem to descend on it en mass making the place more like an after school or social club. This makes the small male changing room very busy and uncomfortable to get changed in for any responsible adult aware of the presence of children. It’s a shame as it is a good gym but it’s clear they’ve prioritised the commercial aspect of the business over the enjoyment and comfort of the facility. I’d rather they doubled the prices and lost a third of the members in order to have more of a focus on the quality of the experience.

It's such a surprise & so different from what I was expecting very modern & so easy to let yourself into gym without fuss of a reception such an uplifting experience I would say I was always used to something less out there & machines very sociably placed I like peace when exercising & would have been great to possibly keep shy folk in mind lol nevertheless I love it & the hot box in changing rooms is simply fabulous 👌
Five stars jd gym
My go to is the Cumbernauld gym however they close at 10pm sadly. A definite bonus to the Coatbridge gym is the 24hr aspect. Equipment all super fresh and clean which was nice. But sadly no 45 degree calf raise machine!
Equpiment is great. Staff are all very helpful. The gym is always clean. It's the best gym I've been to in years.

Equipment and size of facility are fantastic. Plenty of equipment for all styles of training from crossfit to calisthenics and bodybuilding to cardio.
Heat is a slight issue. Air con is sometimes switched off which is unbearably hot as the facility is so popular.
And management trying to limit styles of Olympic lifting.
Overall a solid 4/5 👌

Excellent gym with a fantastic range of equipment.
Specifically, JD gym at Coatbridge. This is the best gym I've ever seen. State of the art Matrix equipment, machines I've never even seen before. Went looking for a hack machine, they have one but they also have pendulum squat machine and sissy squat machine and three different types of press machines.
The machines are almost all plate weights. You name it, they have it! Lateral shoulder raise machine, low row plated, high row plated, plated pulldown, vertical leg press, 45° leg press, Olympic rings, full calisthenics rig, climbing ropes. You should 100% join, best I've ever seen.
Also have lower glute bridge machine and upper glute bridge machine too.
Only £5 for your first month and £20 a month thereafter, bargain!
Modern clean gym with lots of equipment always available with friendly staff happy to help. Spacious changing rooms with added saunas are a bonus after those intense workouts!
