Gym is really good. Lots of different equipment, the weights choice is excellent.

The atmosphere, machines,user friendly

Every machine you need , spotless Gym really can't fault it. Can be a bit busy but that's to be expected at peak time , after peak time really calms down and that's when I go.

Easy to use, clean, excellent equipment (weightlifting platform and Eileko bumper plates - wow!).

So recently received an email from the new general manager. And basically says the last 2 Fridays he's been made aware I'm sparring and teaching a class. Lies.
As I was up 1 night with 2 friends hitting pads nothing more. Unfortunately there was 4 kick boxers in sparring at the same time. But for years now every manager comes in and says I'm doing PTS or teaching which is rubbish.
So with 24 hour CCTV there will be proof that 1. I wasn't teaching a class. 2. It wasn't me or my 2 friends who where sparring as it was 4 others doing this who are nothing to do with me.
So now as this has been going on year after year it's now becoming a case of harassment and bullying and I'm now so sick of this I'm now going to the manager directly to explain that if he hasn't any proof then I shall be seeking legal advice to see if there is infact a case of bullying harassment and also the effect on my mental health as I can no longer enjoy my training as I feel they are following on CCTV which I feel is an invasion of my civil rights. So I shall be seeking legal advice. As there's nothing in the terms of conditions that you can't train in small groups of friends.
Also I'd like to know why members of staff told 4 friends of mines to tell there 14 year old kids to lie about there ages to get in the gym. And this is fact.
So would I recommend this place. Hell no. Nlc is a far better gym and for the cost it offers better equipped as well as it has staff on hand unlike JD who have shocking staff unwilling to help never mind the state of the machines broken down old rubbish and don't start me on the lack of cleanliness. The place is manky.

If I could rate this a zero star then I would. But I'll be up to see the manager for the proof of what I'm ment to have done and if they aren't willing to show me the let's see what legal has to say.
But if you want a gym that's not dirty full of kids and friendly helpful staff and not feel like everything you do is being watched then absolutely DO NOT JOIN. THIS HAS TO RATE AS THE SINGLE MOST RIP OFF GYM IVE EVER USED.

Great equipment, friendly staff, clean and a great environment to be in.

Lots of equipment and helpful staff. Changing area is clean, plenty lockers and showers work. The gym area is extensive with water available on tap, They also have vending machines for snacks and drinks.

Ediots u are u all of a sudden cancel my membership didnt even gave me warming i told u I accidentally cancelled my direcr debit fkkk off i will never join ur gym again and would never recommend to anyone

Good equipment.
Music seems too loud & don’t the first come first serve approach to the classes

I joined the gym at the start of November with my friend.
The only thing wrong is that there is no one there to help you or show you how to operate the machines.
I am not sure how to work some of them or if I’m working them correctly. M

There is no one to show you how the machines work, there is no induction, you don’t know if you are using the machines correctly
There are plenty of machines, there hasn’t been at time when I’m stuck to get a machine to use

My first trip to JD was to attend the yoga class 8-9pm on a Tuesday night. It was so cold in the hall I couldn’t relax or enjoy the class I was constantly shivering and having to keep my hands up the sleeves of my jacket and my socks on through the entire class. I doubt I’ll be back.

You havent actually sent me me pin to get into the gym via the second email that you said you would send after the first .

Came from tryst and moving to jd gyms was. Huge upgrade loving it rn

Plenty machines and space staff very helpful

Quite an average gym apart from cheap cardio equipment and some weight equipment outdated, ignoring of messages on messenger, no intention of upgrading dumbells and no reason why so just ignore you same as PureGym 🥱, more phones lifted than weights but that's most gyms these days, feel a tad overpriced also £14.99 is more reasonable for a core membership, overall it's an ok gym

Staff member called David showed us round our first day, he helped me at the entrance as I couldn’t get my barcode to work. I couldn’t believe how big it was and clean.

I didn’t fell awkward at all - as I thought I would as I am 60 yrs old. Everyone just does their own thing and concentrating on their own goals.

The choice of equipment is great and gives you instructions how to use.

I know this has only been my first week of going but I am enjoying the experience.

Staff have all been very helpful.
