Been a member for many years,staff are amazing and I do love the place however.it can take weeks or longer to fix equipment.same stuff breaking over and over.desperate need of new equipment.been to other jds and this one is the worse as far as equipment goes.feels like this gym is not maintained as well as the other.

Thanks for leaving us some feedback.Our team in Huddersfield do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.

A bit early for a review I think…only been 3 times it’s my first week…the place is a good size, there is a good choice of equipment, sauna facilities are decent but unfortunately had to wait a while to get in, it was rammed..I’ve heard that in peak times the gym can get busy and you can be waiting to use equipment….how it is I suppose!
I will give it a few months to make my decision whether to continue with my membership or find a gym a bit closer to home…..thanks👍

No problem with gym itself. It's the ridiculous way it operates. Left 3 voicemail and still no reply. They've disabled my QR scanner so I can't get in without ringing the bell. Take my money and no help? I don't think so

The lockers and keys are difficult …
The lockers and keys are difficult to operate. I am always frustrated and upset by this. The showers have no hooks to hang clothes or towels. The water is cold. Only two toilets. The music is constantly unpleasant and there are no clocks in the gym. The displays are difficult to view without glasses.

Excellent machines and a great all round gym. Trainers are all welcoming and polite. Easy joining process and fantastic class facilities and spinning area. Could do with more leg machines based on volume of attendees.

An tidy organised gym
I liked how organised and tidy the gym was, as well as the wide range of equipment and the separate room that’s slightly isolated. Some machines were out of order but I’m sure you’re working on fixing them. And i don’t know if I missed it but i didn’t see any cleaning equipment to wipe down after and before use.

We have method statements for the team to follow for the cleaning of our equipment. Ensuring it is cleaned thoroughly without damaging it and keeping everything in action for the Huddersfield members to use.

We joined this gym 2 weeks ago and it’s great. It’s very well equipped with everything you can think of. It gets busy at certain times which you’d expect , but there’s always free equipment available. The other gym users are friendly and approachable ,willing to help you if you’re not sure how to do certain activities safely. Would highly recommend!

Hygiene and help
I would like some hand gel or alcohol wipes around the gymn or with each piece of equipment. Introduce some kind of guide chart so you can do a full body work out just by following the numbered equipment (add big numbers to equipment) and sequence for the complete novice, the sequences can be different for different types of workout. It's completely daunting for a novice.
Nice to see that you only provide cleaning gels when forced to by the government. Wiping with a towel is as good as not bothering. Not seen any cleaning products except for in the entrance, which is as good as useless. Oh well.

The cleaning stations in our gyms were first introduced during the pandemic when Government restrictions required us to do so. Since all restrictions were lifted some time ago, we have been gradually returning to our normal operations, with the cleaning stations being one of the last remaining measures. We have however, provided extra bottles of sanitiser around the gym and we do encourage our members to bring in their own towel to clean off the equipment after use. Alongside this, we also have cleaners in the gym who frequently clean the equipment and work to ensure a high standard is maintained. If you do notice any equipment needs a wipe down, please let a member of staff know.
The majority of our equipment does provide instructions with which muscle groups it specifically targets. However we do prefer the more personal touch so If you would like an induction, please get in touch with your gym directly and a member of the team can help arrange this for you.
