Gym is great but why is it only open till 4 on weekends, shortening the hours because of covid makes no sense.
The gym machines need up grading. they are very stiff when you do your workout on them. The machines are not getting repaired quick enough, when they break.
Great gym !! Cheap and relatively clean compare toany others that I have tried. Equipment is complete. I just wish it was open 24/7. That's the only downfall of that gym to me.
Gym and classes are great and instructors are really helpful. Only issue is sometimes classes get cancelled with no notice so you turn up and no instructor is there. Would be good to have notices up or email notifications if clases are cancelled.
The facilities are fine but I joined for the classes and they never start on time, sometimes even as long as half an hour late. When you’re trying to squeeze it in during your hour lunch break you really do expect things to be as per the timetable.
Two of the main reasons I chose JD Gyms on Dale Street: sauna and weekends they are open until 8pm.
Now this is not the case anymore. There is absolutely no reason to close at 4pm - guessing this is a staffing issue.
Also, other places have reopened their saunas but not this place.
That is very upsetting especially as I pay £25/month.
One more point: people are too lax again about wiping down the machines they use. That has nothing to do with Covid. This should be done all the time for hygiene reason.
Staff don’t engage much (barely a hello) - very insular and not seen on the floor much.
I’ve been going to this gym since it opened and the community it has built throughout the years, is like no other gym I’ve been to. Michaela makes sure the gym is always impeccable, keeping an eye on broken machines and cleanliness and always checking in on the people who come to this gym. Nothing but good vibes and kindness here
Alot of people in the Liverpool gym recently and very little cleaning of equipment after use. We all want to get back to normal and this is making things difficult with avoiding basic cleanliness. Would love the punch bags back where they where before last Christmas on the second floor.
Bathrooms could do with a refresh, locks and doors loose and equipment takes a while to be repaired
