Had gone down hill over the past year
Had gone down hill over the past year, equipment always broken and getting it repaired takes far too long. There has been a hole in the floor causing a trip hazard for nearly 6 MONTHS!!
We pay the same money as other gym members in the area and the shiremoor gym is frankly a sht hole compared to them.
All outdated equipment and clearly just being forgotten about by JD
I’d be surprised if this was even responded to due to there don’t give a shit attitude

A really easy process. Great product too. Thankfully they don't use Hatlands anymore who slap admin fees on then are impossible to contact. This direct approach is much easier.

I wasn’t impressed with this gym
I wasn’t impressed with this gym. I didn’t like the set out it wasn’t for me. The changing rooms are too small to what I am used to. The most informant factor is that there is no internet connection … to which I must have to listen to music, to listen to podcasts and to even make a phone call. The app is very basic my old gym had so many features that I loved. Such as, showing the people in the gym, exercise tips, healthy eating tips etc

Once I was through access controls it was fine - clean, spacious and plenty of choice. Perhaps a notice how to hold your phone to open doors, another mentioning you need the app to leave too - oh! Notify members that lockers are not key operated, members need a lock.

Great gym
Great spacing, plenty of machines and never too busy. Friendly and helpful staff. Being a newbie to the gym was apprehensive but I’ve gained so much confidence.

Gym is great overall, changing rooms let it down
Gym is great overall, great equipment space and numerous machines.
The Sauna is excellent aswell, always working and a great temperature.
Men’s changing rooms/shower facilities could do with being cleaned more often.. the floor I have seen the same bits of sock fluff being there for over 2-3weeks, not a great smell in there either..
Overall great gym but changing rooms let it down

JD gym shiremoor is expensive plus high noisy speaker system
JD gym at shiremoor is expensive and just ok.
The main negative point is their Audio speaker system for music in so loud. These days everyone got personal headsets and they need to reduce their music volume to mild level so that all can enjoy their personalised music on their headset.
Mild music will give calmer and healthier atmosphere for all.
They have to make sounds from their classes not coming to other workout areas.
At times,Due to the noise from their stereos mental health for their customers could be affected.
They need to turn the volume down so all can enjoy
