Professional and friendly staff
Curtis was so professional and friendly and made me feel at ease on my induction. Plenty of equipment and the gym was very tidy and clean.

Poor standard or equipment
Half the equipment isn’t working, or is outdated. Lack of equipment compared to other gyms in the area like “the gym” group and independent gyms such as graft. Could really do with a lick of paint and an overhaul. I was part of this gym 2 years ago and came back recently and nothing has changed.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks (facility and equipment) whilst working hard with our equipment providers and maintenance engineers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Further to my comment below about broken equipment.
Back today, to find 6 bikes in place (one having returned from long term ‘sick leave’). Only one with an out-of-order sign. So, five working bikes? Tried the first, the saddle was broken, tried the second and the peddles simply free-wheeled (neither had an out-of-order sign – presumably the gym had run out). The third bike was working.
Management (if there is any) need to invest in new equipment.

A very professional induction
My induction was very professionally handled, with the support of Jack, I was shown how equipment worked and adjusted, with exercises for my particular requirements. I was then able to use the machines to my own capabilities, knowing Jack was available for any other questions I may have.

You get what you pay for
Absolutely awful equipment in JDgym shiremoore, Newcastle. There are no instructions on how to set up certain machines. I was told to use it because the North Shields branch is shut for an update. If it is getting the same machines I will be cancelling my membership and looking elsewhere.
You get what you pay for.. cheap gym, cheap gear.
Staff were super unhelpful as well. Could see my husband having issues getting scanned in, but continued chatting to their mate at the desk.

Good value gym
Lots of machines, good space and people very friendly.
Only issue is WiFi connection as you need this to access/leave the gym and it is a problem.

Not well organized
Too much crowd, no much separation between different workout areas. A big room with lot of people and equipments scattered everywhere. No proper organising. The weights are not arranged in proper order. Vary dark lighting everywhere. I have gone to puregym and thegym before. This felt horrific and I cancelled the membership on first day, and decided to go to puregym which is now far away from my home but still worth it.

Good Gym
Easy to sign up, reasonable membership fees and app is reliable upon entering the gym. Location is convenient as multiple supermarkets in the local area. Gym features a good atmosphere including the music. Staff are welcoming and will answer questions you have undoubtingly.

Deep Clean needed ASAP !!

Best way in my opinion is to get some of your staff to be more helpful when you arrive and not look as if your putting on them when asking for help...and the gym needs to be more tidy...ie getting the lazy customers to put there weights away after use and enforcing to people to not just sit on equipment on there phones for 45 minutes at a time...Good points the gym is excellent thanks

Probably the worst gym I’ve ever used
Gym seems to rarely be cleaned as there’s always empty bottles etc left around the changing rooms.
Equipment is left strewn around the gym so finding matching dumbbells or the right handle for the cables is a nightmare.
QR code on the app to get in and out of the gym is useless and rarely works, meaning you need to try and find one of the elusive staff to get let out.
I’ll be cancelling as soon as this first month is up.
