Great gym, spacious and with a lot equipment

Up until now I have really liked my experience at JD gyms and that is mostly down to the trainers, particularly Kelly Gray her spin class is brilliant and her bootcamp sessions which I attend 3 times a week are amazing.
Without this bootcamp class I would not be feeling as confident in myself as I now do and I can see real changes in my body.
I can’t believe that JD are stopping her doing them and that is going to upset a lot of members and will lead to members leaving the gym!
Why is this invaluable class being cancelled? I can’t see any good reason for this.
Due to this I am only giving JD 1 star as I don’t feel this decision is being made in the best interest of its members.

The gym equipmentis good how ever the gym is let down by the bed smell on the toilets and the fact the showers do not have a temperature dial, the showers are extremely hot

Great refurbishment on the gym spacious, i have been in the evenings but first i went no one around to ask about what’s changed or about classes.

I’m very disappointed to hear that Bootcamps are coming to an end.
I know that if you end Bootcamps you will loose a lot of customers due to having to join the gym to attend Bootcamps and they have also proven to help people for the better.
I came to the gym disliking myself and they way I looked. Since starting Bootcamp with Kelly Gray she has made such a huge impact on my life. She made me build so much confidence which has also helped with my mental health.
Bootcamps help so many individuals in different ways and they need to stay!!
Don’t be silly and do what’s right for your customers!!

I am disappointed to hear that the excellent bootcamps at JD Gym in Rugby may be ending.
These sessions, run by some excellent Personal Trainers including Kelly Grey and Sue Bainbridge, are first class and bring a really spirit of energy and enthusiasm to the gym.
Please reconsider this decision.
I belive many people may leave the gym if this decision goes ahead.

Rather than repeat the reviews below, I would like to simply add that through Bootcamp’s and other ad hoc classes taking place in the gym, JD rugby has managed to create an atmosphere that isn’t present in any other gym in town.
Indeed, rather than a large space with people working out individually, a space where a group is training amongst the usual gym goers has been created.
It has served to give the gym a unique atmosphere and only enhanced its reputation throughout the town as something different and inclusive.
I have not been party to the decisions made, however as I understand it “management” has decided that ad hoc classes have a detrimental impact on the general customer experience. If this is the case, I hope this has been quantified and complaints have been measured and considered. As I hope this company and the ones below are.
I’m afraid I suspect that the only reason these classes have been stopped is due to inter political reasons stemming from jealousy amongst the local management team.
The creative thinking of staff and employees is the life blood of innovation within a business and yet JD Rugby has done everything they can to stamp out anything that challenges the norm.
I hope this complaint is considered by senior management and isn’t treated with such disregard and contempt as other similar comments below. By that I mean I do not expect a copy and paste reply regarding the jd rugby timetable, rather a considered response.
To be frank, the fact you have simply repeated the same response to each similar complaint only shows the company’s utter lack of interest in reviewing feedback and amending service based on customer feedback.
I, like those below, will cancel my direct debit if the decision to cancel these classes is not reconsidered.

I would have rated this gym 5 stars before but now knowing that they are going to stop the Bootcamp’s at the end of April it’s disgusting.
The only reason why I go to that gym is for the Bootcamp’s, I don’t use the gym otherwise. I have been going to Kelly’s in particular now since the start of February and if it wasn’t for her and her Bootcamp’s I wouldn’t have the confidence or the fitness I have now. I would have thought as a gym that they would encourage things like this as it doesn’t just keep people fit but also helps their mentally state which it definitely helps mine as it keeps me positive and motivated and to think that they’re taking this away from us is absolutely disgusting and baffles me!! I don’t see how they have valid and proper reasons to stop these Bootcamp’s and knowing one of the reasons is because it ‘takes up too much space’ is ridiculous, it’s an hour session and I don’t see other members of the gym moaning about it I mean I don’t even think there’s been an actual complaint!!
Like I said the only reason why I go to that gym is for Kelly’s Bootcamp’s and if they do stop them then I believe it’s going to make a huge impact on how many members go there now and will be cancelling their memberships. I really think the gym should consider their decision in this because there’s a lot of unhappy people right now.

I never used to have a bad word to say about this gym, however since finding out that the extra bootcamps/sessions ran with Artur and Tommy are being removed I will be considering cancelling my membership. These classes are the main reason I come to this gym. Last night 23 people alone attended a bootcamp session the atmosphere and vibe were amazing, even had some passing comments on how great it was from other members, so when JD advised they were putting a stop to these I was extremely shocked. There is a lot of unhappy members due to this decision, I really hope it is reconsidered or compromised, such as moving to another location such as the studio. Such a bad move from JD

I love the size and equipment within the gym but my favourite part is going to the bootcamps run by the PTs. I've grown in confidence, fitness and made friends in a really supportive group. I am therefore hugely disappointed that I've heard this is being removed at the end of the month and don't understand the reasoning for this.
When bootcamp goes I think a lot of members will too.

Last week I would have been able to give JD Gyms Rugby a 5* review however since I've heard the news about bootcamp being removed as it's seemed impacting on member experience… this is an absolute joke and completely contradicts itself.
I have been going to Kelly’s bootcamp since the beginning of February, she has massively helped me with my confidence in the gym, brought an amazing community of people together and help me achieve my fitness goals.
JD Gym Rugby is becoming a toxic environment and I will now be looking to cancel my membership.

If I had rated this last week, I would have given 5 stars, however after information just received I will give it a 1. Being a gym, you are expected to provide your members the best possible experience and service, it can be a very intimidating uncomfortable place to be. Twice a week I go to attend classes that are not on the timeable, Artur's bootcamp and Tommys Sunday Slam or Glute God session. I am aware of another bootcamp that is also ran which I hear good things about. To now learn these extra bootcamps/classes the PTs run here are now being removed from the gym at the end of April i actually think is unnacceptable and a real shame. Through these classes I have learnt so much about form, and I have pushed myself so much. These PTs have gone above and beyond what is expected of them providing advice for free, providing us sessions for free or an extra £5 and they are a credit to this gym, and the fact that they are now not allowed to put these sessions on is not fair. The vibe and the atmosphere they provide, the friendships that have been formed, all through these classes is amazing. I have had numerous people message me via social media asking about these classes and wanting to move gym, they see how amazing they are, but for some reason JD Gyms rugby do not. Some people can't neccessarily afford PT sessions and these sessions are the next best thing, especially when the JD timetable doesn't suit certain peoples work life and these group classes do. I really hope they reconsider.

JD Gyms - Rugby Please sort out your parking . It’s terrible, people park however they want . They block each other and don’t think How others would get out . . I Had to park my car on other side of road and was worriyng sick if someone will damage my car while I’m at gym . 🤬😤

Very messy gym, people don't put weighs away even personal trainers.
People sitting on the machines on the phones for ages, ridiculous.
Letting to many people in aswell, have to queue to do exercises.

This gym is brilliant , equipment and cleanliness is on point, staff very friendly and positive , being a trainer myself it’s about environment and this gym has the perfect atmosphere.

Great gym, great environment, not normally a fan of a gym environment but the large space certainly helps give enough space and equipment for people to use, Joe was also very welcoming and helpful in giving us a tour and explaing things well,
