A friendly gym with no egos
A friendly gym with no egos. Well equipped, and sanitisation standards excellent. Great value for money and a great selection of classes too if that’s your thing. Glad I chose this gym

Really bad experience when I first…
Really bad experience when I first stepped into the gym on my first day. Had a very rude gym manager/instructor try to convince me I’ve joined Blackpool not Thornton. I think I know best what gym I’ve joined!! The look on her face when my app eventually scanned and the gates opened! Not a good way to treat new users. I’ve not been since and me and my 2 mate have cancelled our membership.

The membership is over priced for the quality of the gym, equipment takes a long time to get repaired if damaged, the air conditioning never works or is never on usually blowing warm air if any ! The male toilets are situated behind the training area for back and they smell really bad of drainage so you don’t want to breath in when training back !

There are some issues with supply of certain parts at the moment and it's out of our hands, but we're working very hard behind the scenes to get back to our exceptional turnaround times.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the QR code…
I'm absolutely disgusted at the QR code only entry to the gym. I've been coming to jds gym since it has opened and now I've requested to terminate my contract. Firstly I'm not comfortable using a scanner on my phone as I don't know where my information is being sent to. Why can't we use the key pad instead of being forced to download a terrible app to produce a qr code? Why not produce a wrist band like other gyms do ? And lastly this is massively discriminatory towards people who chose not to use smart phones e.g my elderly grandmother what who goes there for her health?? And now she's unable to exercise because of not having a smart phone??? Im Absolutely disgusted at you jd gym I'll be taking me business else where

Great place to workout
Visited as part of a valentines offer and enjoyed the visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym and equipment was clean and during my visit staff continued to ensure everything was clean and wiped down as part of their covid measures and guidelines. I was made to feel very welcome and the member of staff who met me at the beginning of my visit returned to ask if everything was OK during my first workout. Upon returning home I joined the gym via the website. I have now visited the gym numerous times and have enjoyed every visit.

No regrets. JD gym all the way!
Obsessed with this gym! Not been to a gym in 10 years and finally got the courage to look around after a friend recommended it. I've been every single day without fail as its such a nice, clean and well equipped gym with amazing staff members. I usually stick to day time sessions as can be quite busy in the evening but even then it's still such a pleasant workout no matter what time of day.

Visited JD gym Cleveleys for first time…
Visited JD gym Cleveleys for first time today.
QR code scanner wasn’t working at first. Pressed buzzer and was greeted by a member of staff who’s first interaction with me was “are you the dummy that can’t work the scanner?”
I guess I was but it’s not what I’d expect staff to greet people with. I’ve been going to gyms for years so I don’t feel the intimidation that some do when they first visit a gym. I just hope that’s not her opening line with everyone.
