Really friendly staff and gym. Everyone says hello to each other. Clean, equipment all in amazing condition. Weights are always put back where they should be.

A good choice of equipment, plenty of cardio machines the only let down is the staff. No one to help when the entry readers didn’t work, actually no one around at all to help.
However it’s relatively cheap so it does the job. Just don’t expect help, advice or friendly staff.

Lots of machines nothing to wipe them down with and could be cooler but apart from that pretty good

The staff were great, that's the first thing I found straight away. Really helpful and polite. The equipment was fantastic and the general vibe really nice. I've not exercised for a while and just wanted to get a bit healthier so was a bit apprehensive that I'd be like looked down on by other people or something but there was none of that. There was a real mixed bag of people in all kinds of shape just concentrating on their own fitness and even in the changing rooms everyone was really courteous and respectful to each other. Really put me at ease and now I love going, I've only been a member for about a week and have been a few times already. Great gym. Top marks all around really. Couldn't fault it in anyway at all.

Great service and priced very competitively, friendly and knowledgeable staff

Loads of equipment and great classes etc. No cleaning or disinfectants etc...no paper towels so you need to bring your own cleaning material. Hardly anyone wiping their equipment before and after use. Very unhygienic.

Good staff and clients, could do with a few more fans to get the air moving about a bit as I overheat a lot !

Good equipment generally, although had to queue at times.

Really liking the gym and tried spin classes. Going to try more classes too. Not liking that there any no disinfectant sprays or tissue to clean any of the machines or areas. Treadmills/step machine covered in sweat and after spin nothing to wipe bikes down, apparently it was all there and then all removed and not replaced a few weeks ago. I’ve not seen anyone clean anything, heard a few members complain.

Had a year off from the JD Gyms Thornton-Cleveleys. Re-joined this last week and I'm sorry to say it seems like they have sacked all of the cleaners. The mens sauna has what can only be described as bogeys all over the walls and roof and other white bodily fluids on the walls. In general the whole place needs a good deep clean, especially the training rooms, saunas and the entrance area which itself smells like sweaty old socks ... a carpet cleaner would do it the world of good. Hope that management see this and do something to sort the cleanliness of the place in general. Also the cleaning stations with cleaning products and blue roll for cleaning down equipment after use seem to have gone. These were great for allowing people to clean machines after using them.
