Didn’t let me take my gym bag on the gym floor despite telling me I can’t have a duffel bag but I can have a rucksack so I bought one and now I can’t use that instead.

Thank you for your review. We ask that members leave their belongings in a locker and not leave large bags of things on the floor around the equipment.
This rule is in place to avoid trip hazards and as it keeps the gym tidier. We would at no point suggest that instead of carrying a bag, you empty the contents of a bag on the floor instead because that's clearly worse.
The bag, plus the contents should be in a locker. It's understandable that certain items may be essential to your workout, e.g. a drink or some chalk. These small items can be placed in the holders on the equipment, or a small, discreet container such as a drawstring bag

Best chain gym available
The best chain gym available if you don't need wet facilities like pool/steam. Best equipment, best opening times, cleanest facilities, no contract, easy to cancel if needed whilst also being one of the cheapest gyms available. Really couldn't ask for any more.

JD Gym great place
I find JD Gym a great place for all levels of fitness , young or old , male or female . Something for everyone . Friendly and helpful staff . Well placed with plenty of parking . Clean and tidy ..

It was a very busy day
It was a very busy day but during my first visit to a gym and I didn't see many of your employees around the gym so I never felt confident asking for help from the ones near the entrance for help on what to do.

Lacking important equipment and very cramped in the free weight area.
It's a good gym but the weights section in the Wigan branch is very cramped. There's also only 1 set of cables which given the size of the gym is poor to say the least. You are lucky to be able to get on them, and given how versatile that particular piece of equipment is, you would think a gym like this would have at least 3 sets. Those two points aside the gym is well kept and has a good variety of equipment.

All in all very good
All in all very good. Gets busy but you would expect that given it is a budget gym. Open 24 hours which is great. Very clean which for me is the most important thing.
Lots of machines, some are past their sell-by-date, but all in all an excellent gym located next to a retail park which is always handy.

It's rammed with people no matter what…
It's rammed with people no matter what time you go even 5 am there's so many people
The staff are non existant
They don't answer the phone and they are never in the gym if you have a problem you're screwed

So far so good having injured my knee…
So far so good having injured my knee at the end of last year I can only do low impact so I’ve been on the bikes which is helping not only my knee but hopefully soon my weight I’ve only been 3 times so far but fingers crossed I’ll be able to use other items too
