Fantastic induction experience
Emily was incredibly helpful and took her time showing me how to safely and effectively use the equipment. It was a great induction and I'm excited to start regularly using the gym!
Despite being a busy time of day there was plenty of equipment to use and everything was clean and well presented.

It's a good gym the staff are helpful and the equipment is really good i can feel ive done a good workout with the equipment the 24 hour is good as well u don't after rush around it was a right choice to change from fitness first

Great new gym
Great new gym; modern equipment- clean and bright- changing rooms new and bonus having a sauna in the changing rooms! No too busy and plenty of machines/ availability for equipment - would recommend!

First week impression.
Easily accessible, the venue is clean and tidy. Extensive machines and free weight result in a flowing work out. Staff are friendly and clean the Gym. Showers are adequate and the sauna is good. It provides me with everything I require. Very pleased.

Needs to be organised better with sections for specific exercises walking around looking for machines for a specific muscle group… plenty of machines etc just hard to find specific ones

Wigan was dirty
Wigan was dirty, every machine I used was sticky 😑 and the showers had 10 yrs of urine smell imbedded. Manager says they can't get rid of the smell. Can't afford to go there being diabetic because I'm scared what I might catch.

On holiday from Australia and I have joined for 1 month. The equipment is amazing and the 24hr online sign up is so convenient and stress free. Every time I visit Wigan I will definitely be using JD Wigan.

Non professional behaviour of PT
The PT in gym last Friday evening at around 7:30pm was extremely rude. I wasn't able to exit from the gym so I rang the bell. No one came out to the reception. I kept ringing and waiting for 15mins. Then I rang the Wigan gy. Number. To my surprise, the PT received the call and when I asked him to come to the front desk to help me, without replying, he just disconnected the call. I waited for 10mins and then started searching for the PT myself, when I spotted him flirting with a member at treadmill. I asked him if he is the PT for that time and he seemed quite disappointed at my interruption and asked what I want. This behaviour was extremely inappropriate and I have never faced this. I am new to this gym but I am regular gym goes for quite few years. I don't think I will continue in this gym anymore after my experience on first day!

Good but disgusting
The facility as a whole is tremendous, the frequency and amount of classes is great however the shower area smells like something from the Victorian age. I understand it’s a lot of people and men are disgusting but the stench needs to be addressed in a serious way
