Fab girls Friday night making Gyoza with Rie, Emma and the team. Surprisingly easy to make even from scratch. They tasted amazing. Would never thought to make them before. We all enjoyed it. This is my 2nd cookery course with the Jericho kitchen, 1st was Greek which was also fabulous and I’ve made the dishes a few times since. Whether you’re there on your own, a couple or a group of friends it’s a really fun sociable experience. Everyone is very friendly. Recommend.

Really enjoyable lesson with 12 people in groups of 4, which worked really well. Excellent venue just off Iffley Road, easy to get to, but leave time for parking, which is difficult! The Sushi were easier to make than I expected, and Rie showed us useful techniques and was always on hand with advice.
Update: Yes, I made some more the next day to take to a party. They turned out really well! I added preserved ginger or wasabi to each one and everyone was really complimentary. I used fresh cooked prawns or Surimi as the main ingredients and even had success with the square omelette. Looking back, I realise that I probably couldn’t/wouldn’t have done this if I hadn’t been to your lesson. Highly recommend!

We booked a The Street Food of Naples with Ursula Ferrigno. What a fantastic day. Ursula was absolutely lovely and was so passionate about Italian ingredients and the food we were cooking. It’s contagious and I learnt so much new and interesting facts about the food I love! The tomato dish was unbelievable and we cooked squid and made a lovely homemade lemonade. Book a course, I’m going back!

I attended Jericho Kitchen’s first seasonal supper club on 25 July. It was held in a beautiful barn conversion in idyllic surroundings in Wallingford. There was a great turnout and I met many interesting people from a range of backgrounds: I learned a lot from how to plant vegetables without digging to what is going on in state of the art medical technology. So it was nourishing for the mind but how about the food? It was a vegan feast and not what I would normally opt for as an ehthusiastic carnivore but it really broadened my horizons and got me thinking about changing my diet both for health and variety as well as all the sound environmental reasons. The freshness of the vegetables was the key and certainly made me wake up to what good vegan food can be. Last but not least our host Emma (and her team) led the festivities with zest and style helping create a buzz and good humoured atmosphere. I definitely urge all who have the opportunity to experience this special type of event to go for it as soon as possible and many times thereafter.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my sister birthday. Sarah was an excellent and knowledgeable teacher, making the experience both fun and educational. Best of all was sitting down to enjoy the fruits of our labour, complete with plenty of wine and beer!

We had a great morning learning to cook (and eat) some tasty Spanish tapas dishes with Sarah, who was so practical and inspiring. This has definitely given me the confidence to have a go at home. A lovely way to spend my birthday and I will be back to try other classes.

This is the second time we have done a cookery day. We love the enthusiasm of Ursula as she taught us so much. My personal highlight was learning to make pasta. It is so well organised, all equipment is provided and you get a delicious meal to share at the end. We also meet such lovely people on the course too. All the staff were so, so lovely. A great, great day.

Jericho Kitchen Cookery School is Great!
The team are amazing and I learnt so much. The pace was also really good and Ursula is an excellent teacher. I now have a pasta machine and made fresh pasta for our lunch yesterday! I have also made the bread sticks - my husband loves both of these dishes! I am definitely keep a look out for future vegetarian classes with them.

Corporate event- Italian cookery class session with Emma and Ursula
I arranged this session for our group of 24 as a team bonding event. The venue was Standhampton Village hall, a norman church, which is beautiful. Ursula's passion was contagious and the whole group just loved her. The recipes succeeded and the dinner was delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend Jericho Cookery School for a corporate event.

The class I attended, gyoza with Yukiko was mostly spent chopping vegetables(!). However, Yukiko's great humour and radiant personality made the whole evening invigorating. She was quite clear about what to expect from the class, and shared tips, tricks, and jokes about the art of folding and eating gyoza. We even got a bit of history.
After the trouble I'd had booking a class with a voucher, when I went to pay the top-up amount, Emma told me I didn't need to, and could donate it to charity.
In order to share the Jericho Kitchen and lovely gyoza, I spent it on ingredients and made ~150 gyoza for my local community centre, which were hugely appreciated!
The venue was changed at the last minute to a small one, so if you are COVID wary I would not recommend this.
My mum booked us onto the Vegetarian Italian class with Ursula as a Christmas present and it was just fantastic. Personally I was a little nervous that it might be a bit of an intimidating environment but I couldn't have been more wrong - the whole setup was so friendly and well-organised, and Ursula is possibly the most enthusiastic person I've ever met! We learned a lot and left feeling very inspired to try some new things. The mini feast at the end was the cherry on top!

I bought an Italian Vegetarian cookery course for a friends birthday and joined her on the course. It was really well organised, run with energy and passion and we learned lots of tips along the way.
The team communicated well and it was great energy, a good experience and the food was exceptional. Thanks team!

I have just done the middle-eastern cookery session and I must say that for the price I did not do very much cooking. I did a lot of standing around. Some people were given more to do than others. I had expected to be preparing all the dishes mentioned and whilst the food was delicious, I was left feeling disappointed that I didn’t get to do very much.

I went on the foraging school with my husband. What a wonderful day! The instructor was knowledgable and the walk very beautiful. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot about our local edible (and non edible) plants.

Thank you Emma for the fun team cookery class at D'Oyleys Farm - great recipes and the Fisher German Agribusiness team all enjoyed themselves making the salads and BBQ dishes and cooking them on the fire pits. Thoroughly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the evening. Ursula was fantastic and her passion for all things Roman was very evident. She was extremely knowledgeable and I certainly learnt a lot. I would definitely book again. It might be nice to be able to chat to the fellow cooks as we were all from different places but I realise time is important. Thanks.
