in my own personal opinion, I would not recommend

As soon as I got engaged Jess was the first person I contacted! I knew from her instagram that I wanted to get booked in her diary as soon as possible. Jess was so wonderful to have as part of our wedding. She really felt like she was part of the bridal party!

We had a destination wedding in Crete and Jess was so accommodating and super easy to communicate with for logistics, (even when Thomas Cook went under!)

Jess had the big task of doing myself and 7 other bridal party members on the wedding day in 26 degree heat. She made it look like a breeze, and made us all look bloody gorgeous! Tailoring the make up to suit each individuals face and requests while keeping it light and beautiful!

We were all over the moon with the final looks and especially how long it lasted! Jess’ make up has definitely passed the big fat Greek wedding test and lasted until the early hours!

I completely recommend hiring Jess to anyone considering having their makeup done for any occasion. Such a lovely warm personality to have on your wedding day, let alone how extremely professional and talented she is at her job! I’m now looking for the next party/event I can get myself booked in for!

The whole experience for me was wonderful! I recently had my make up done by Jess and all I can say is wow! She was very professional I absolutely loved the end result, she picked everything that suited my skin tone, the make up she used was amazing felt like I wasn’t even wearing anything! I would 100% recommend Jess to all of my family and friends if only she could do my make up everyday 🥰

Choosing your make up artist for a special occasion can feel overwhelming and a challenge to find the right one. I could not praise and encourage Jess as your go to choice enough! I booked her, and now there is no one else I would go to. She makes you feel relaxed, and creates a look that reflects you, and makes you feel confident.

Her knowledge of makeup products and application is outstanding. She creates flawless make up looks, which match your desired outcomes to a T!!

What a gem you are, Jessica. You were the first supplier I contacted when I booked my venue, and you were the last supplier I saw, at my trial, before all this craziness kicked off and we went into lockdown.

awful experience with this women,egotistical, money grabbing and doesnt care about your wedding just wants full payment. avoid - see the review further down who had a similar experience to me, I just wish I had pursued her further for my money, it pains me she has my deposit still.

says has never asked for full payment without giving services, but as soon as the coronavirus hit the UK she changed her terms and conditions to this:

"In the event of a wedding it is the brides responsibility to ensure that they have adequate insurance to protect them from loss of monies in the event that a wedding is cancelled by the venue or government department of health due to the virus. The
makeup artist will still need to receive payment of the full balance to ensure no loss of earnings takes place. Providing the
client has wedding insurance it is usually reimbursed by the client's) insurance company."

I wanted to hop on here, as with what has been a very stressful time postponing my wedding, has been made a whole lot easier with my makeup artist, Jessica Ava and leaving a review with my experience thus far is the least I can do 🙂.
I had to move my wedding from May, to the end of this year, and Jessica has been an angel to say the least. Makeup was (still is) one of the things that is so important to me for my big day so I had to make sure Jessica was able to still be there for my new date! From putting up with me constantly emailing with potential dates, back and forth, to sending me a message on what should of been my original wedding day, I’m just so grateful for the time & support you’ve shown me, so thank you again, and I can’t wait to see you in November!

Just wanted to take a few moments to thank Jess for how helpful and supportive she has been through out my whole wedding reschedule.

I was supposed to get married in Malta in May but has now been sadly postponed to later this year, rescheduling is something i dreaded with fear that suppliers would not be available and i must say Jess has been the best out of all.

With what is a difficult time for Brides is also a difficult time for Small businesses and Jess has been truly fantastic. So glad you can still be part of my BIG DAY :-)

From waiting days and weeks for a response which certainly wasn’t the case when she took my money for the original booking. Having to message her multiple times on some occasions.
To arguing over email, to her then backtracking from telling me she could no longer make my new wedding date to she could now make it.
Awful experience
If you want a make up artist who cares about you as person and as an Individual and wants to be part of your special day, rather than seeing you as just an amount going into their bank then do not bother look elsewhere.
It became very clear once I told Jess my new wedding date which she told me she couldn’t make, that all she cared about the money and the money she’d lost on my full booking as well as my deposit which I had paid her.
Coronavirus has been a world pandemic breaking the hearts of millions and thousands of people for so many reasons. As well as the brides and couples all over the world who’s weddings have had to be postponed or even cancelled. But in Jess’s self obsessed eyes this is a personal attack on her as she repeatedly kept telling me that I had cancelled on her and that I should have rearranged my wedding date around her availability.
I understand small businesses and self employed people are also being impacted during this time.
But from messing me around telling me she couldn’t do my date but telling me she’d be keeping my deposit because I had cancelled on her (for the record the government making weddings illegal isn’t me cancelling) to then back tracking telling me she could make my new date which in the time I took her to respond to me I had of course booked my new make up artist.
She might be talented but I want someone with morals, ethnics and someone who cares about their clients and the wedding industry to be apart of my wedding day not someone who’s money hungry and conniving.
By the way Jess thanks for bothering to reply to my last email which I wrote to you with tears in my eyes as you played me like I said in my email well played after 2 weeks of anxiety and stress I was forced to give in and let her keep my deposit. The current climate is hard enough on us all right now let alone dealing with vile people like you

Hi Jess - just wanted to say thank you so so much for how amazing you made both me and my bridesmaids feel on Saturday - every single guest commented on how amazing our make up was and it literally stayed on all throughout the drinking dancing and shots
I feel so lucky to have found a make up artist who not only made us all feel special, but was so genuine and caring - sorting out our bouquets, helping me find my car keys before we left and even clearing away all the glasses and coffee mugs 🥰
You took everyone’s personal preference in to consideration, and my mum who was nervous about having her make up done looked absolutely amazing.
I have never felt better and wish I could go back to the day to do it all again, I’m sure I will find an excuse to have Jess do my make up again though!

& one of my bridesmaids said she felt and looked better than she did on her own wedding day if that isn’t a 5 star review I don’t know what is - thank you so much Jess xxx

I was so lucky to find Jessica, after experiencing a awful trial with another makeup artist, I was worried I wouldn’t find anyone that would deliver the service I was expecting. After a lot of emails a few makeup artist had recommend Jessica and luckily she was available.

When first meeting Jessica she made me feel welcome in her home, straight away we were chatting about work, holidays and my wedding plans. After a cup of tea we spoke to me about my concerns and why the previous trial I had was so bad.
Jessica suggested I’d go for the airbrush makeup. The Airbrush did exactly that made me look natural but flawless, my makeup was light, just perfect! . All the products Jessica used on me were high end, which made me feel like a queen on the big day.

On the day Jessica had to get me, my 9 bridesmaid and 4 flower girls ready, as you can expect it was a very busy morning. However Jessica was her lovely self and kept to her timings as promise.

Jessica, again thank you so much for making me feel and look so beautiful on a very special day to me. I look back and still think wow!

Everything is finally starting to settle down after the wedding and I wanted to get in touch to say a huge thank you!
My wedding makeup was initially something I was a little worried about, I usually don’t wear any and didn’t want to look like a completely different person on the day.
After quite a lot of research...hours looking though makeup artists’ portfolios I knew you were the one for me!
You listened to me and seemed to know exactly what would suit me. My trail was fabulous fun and relaxed...exactly what I wanted and my mum loved having her makeup done for the first time.
On the day you were excellent making all my bridesmaids and my mum look absolutely beautiful..then it was my turn.
I wasn’t nervous as I fully trusted you...and of course your work was perfect (if I do say so myself)
I’ve never thought of myself as beautiful...but you honestly made me feel so beautiful. I still felt and looked like myself but just an enhanced version.
I felt the best I have ever felt...the best version of myself. My makeup remained flawless all day, some feat considering the amount of dancing done!
You are so truly talented at what you do and I feel so lucky to have found you and that you were part of my special day!
I’ll leave you with the lovely words my husband whispered in my ear....
