Jess has done my make up for a special occasion, which was the best I’ve ever had my make up done! I’ve always loved her work after following her social pages. Jess knows exactly how to work with you skin/face shape to get your desired look. She uses all professional products which she talks through and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Jess was so easy to talk to throughout I will definitely be using Jess again, thank you!

If you want a lovely-natured, professional & talented makeup artist like I did, I would not hesitate to book Jessica as your makeup artist. I met Jessica at my best friends wedding 2 years ago, & knew RIGHT away she had to be a part of my bridal prep when I started my planning.

I wouldn’t of even dreamt back then, that I would be having the stress in moving our wedding date due to the relentless covid-19, but Jessica made the process a whole lot more bearable by being more than understanding & accommodating- even after us chopping and changing dates more times than Boris!
I am super grateful for this, especially given how hard it must of been, and still is, for independently owned businesses in the wedding industry.

Anyway, I was so excited to finally see Jessica again at my trial, when we managed to squeeze one, at her lovely home studio.

Jessica and I had a great chat at my trial before she even started applying any make up & with the extensive experience she had, so much great advice and ideas. On the day Jessica was just like having an extra friend there and the whole process was just so relaxed and easy. Unfortunately I don't live locally, but if I did I would 100% be going to Jessica anytime I needed my make up doing for an occasion- she's genuinely excellent at her job and just a generally lovely person whose Instagram I now stalk routinely and secretly wish was my best friend (haha!)

Honestly though, book Jessica for your wedding - there's enough other stressful planning to do and this is one choice you definitely don't need to stress or worry about.

Having experienced firsthand Jessica Ava do my makeup when I was bridesmaid, booking my makeup artist for my wedding was one of the easiest decisions I made when planning my wedding.
Jessica’s reviews and instagram had me completely sold and cemented my decision, I am so excited and I know I made the right choice. Jessica and her make up totally lived up to and exceeded my expectations when I was bridesmaid.
My trial was so chilled - I was put totally at ease! Both my mum and I were so pleased with our make up and how flexible Jessica was in tweaking bits for us so that we were 100% happy.
On the morning of my sister-in-laws wedding Jessica was such a lovely calming person to have around, a real pleasure. Nothing was too much trouble.
She created beautiful natural make up looks for the bride, bridesmaids and mother of the groom and bride, we all looked incredible and felt amazing!
Hopefully our wedding will happen in may however Jess has filled me with confidence that if I do need to reschedule she will do all she can to accommodate, which I can’t thank her enough for, her support has meant a great deal in the stress and pressures of organising a wedding in these unprecedented times.
I would 100% recommend Jessica to any brides to be, she’s the whole package, friendly, professional and amazing at her job.

I booked Jessica after seeing her work on Instagram. All the photographs of the brides makeup looked beautiful and most importantly natural and this is what I wanted for myself. From initial contact Jessica responded quickly to my emails and as the worrier that I am, I felt very reassured. My wedding date had been postponed due to the initial lockdown but Jessica was fantastic in moving dates & was very accommodating despite the challenging changes.
During my makeup trial, I felt very at ease with Jessica due to her friendly nature. I felt confident telling her whether I wanted more or less or any areas tweaking (due to my indecisive nature). On the wedding day, my makeup looked lovely, so much so that my mum and I have booked a makeup lesson with Jessica after lockdown has ended, in the hope that we can pick up some of her amazing skills!

Jess is the most professional make up artist or even business I have encountered. I think the 94% excellent feedback speaks volumes for her business that she has built and is a fantastic observation of her as a person. She is a very selfless person who I have had the pleasure to meet, she has rearranged my wedding from April to October and then March with no extra fee's and with no quibble. Even when she was already booked she managed to squeeze me in, she didn't have to, shes a very popular choice for make up but because she is a lovely person inside and out she goes above and beyond for ALL her customers.

I got engaged Christmas 2017, i didn't know much about what i wanted but i knew i wanted jess to do my make up, I had admired her work on instagram and I knew i wanted her to do my make up. From the first contact jess was amazing she gave me a range of quotes that suited what i had asked for and got me booked in. At my trial she was a dream, we went through what kind of make up i wore on a daily basis, what my skin type is and what i wanted, she made me feel like a princess and i couldn't wait for her to do my makeup on my special day.

Flash forward 2 months and covid hits, i message jess to see what could be done and she was so understanding, she gave me a range of dates she was available. Later in the year (around July) I contacted jess again to let her know that we were planning a small wedding in October and a party in march. Although she was already booked for my march date, which i expected as she is an amazing make up artist, which was understandable. BUT she emailed me back saying that she can do some moving around and still do my makeup. Honestly going above and beyond.

On my wedding day she was a bundle of energy and joy, which is what i needed when i was stressing, I had forgot to pay her the extra for doing my makeup on two days instead of one and she told me not to worry about it on my wedding day we would sort it after. Another example of how amazing this woman is!

I would 100% recommend jess for ANY make up needs and I cant thank her enough for making my day so special

We hired Jess to do my wife’s makeup at our wedding in April, however due to Covid we had to postpone until October, Jess was amazing! She was so helpful and understanding and bent over backwards for us to make sure she could provide the make up for our big day, after finding her and meeting her for the make up trial my wife didn’t want anybody else and I can see why! When my wife walked down the isle she looked even more beautiful than she does normally, Jess perfectly created everything my wife said she had wanted for her makeup ever since I proposed and even more! She’s brilliant at what she does and a genuinely lovely person too! My wife has been finding every excuse to book her again and we definitely will!
Can’t recommend and thank her enough!

I imagine this review will be deleted like Jessica’s other low rate reviews. The way I have been treated by Jessica over the last 6 months is awful! I had no choice but to postpone my wedding and as if it wasn’t stressful and heartbreaking enough, she then decided to refuse to refund me a significant amount of money I paid to her for a service she could not legally fulfil due to public health measures! She insisted that it was my choice to move dates and I should have prioritised her services - I would have happily transferred the booking but she couldn’t do the date that suited my other suppliers and registrar. If when I first tried to resolve this she offered me partial refund or vouchers I would have settled. However, her unprofessional and unkind communication left me refusing to give up. She would ignore me for weeks. I know there are other brides who have let her keep their money for no service at all who have written reviews which have disappeared. Keeping hundreds of £ for no service is practically stealing! After months of battling she tried to refund me 50% of my money minus tax and NI which is again unreasonable. I did eventually get the rest of my money back although I had to submit via the small claims court. Her maturity levels reached their peak when she blocked me from her social media! Perhaps Jessica is a wonderful make up artist, I sadly never got to find out! What I do know is that she is completely lacking in empathy, morals and her priority is money, money and money. I really do feel for small businesses in this time but you have to treat people fairly and hopefully with kindness! Posting on social media her home improvements, lavish dining, new shoe purchases & luxe holidays whilst disputing refunds with brides who are in genuine hardship is the icing on the cake. Do not book with this lady if there’s any possibility your event could be cancelled or postponed or if you want a MUA who actually cares about you as a person and not just your final balance! Having booked a new make up artist I realised how much she didn’t actually care and hadn’t asked me anything about my wedding or the service I wanted. Jessica claimed I was refunded due to her not having the time or energy to argue in court. Well I also do not not have time or energy to waste! I went as far as small claims as a matter of principle rather than the financial obligation as now other brides who have been treated in similar way know they are entitled to get their money back. I have seen the review responses Jessica has left previously trying to reflect herself as a victim. I am not looking for a response, just for others to know what they could be getting themselves into.

I would thoroughly recommend Jessica. Planning our wedding in 2020 has been a rollercoaster and Jessica has been so supportive and flexible throughout. From changing the trial date, to making me and my mum feel so relaxed, tailoring to our needs to sharing tips on how to decorate a Christmas tree. Jessica has been nothing but amazing, professional and personable. We received so many compliments on our makeup and it stayed in place all day and night. We are so impressed and delighted to have secured Jessica for our wedding part two next year. Jessica thank you so much xxx

Jess did my make up for my best friend’s wedding in Crete, and what can I say.. she did a fantastic job!! She attended to my individual needs e.g covering up my spots and giving me that glow! She made me feel at ease and educated me on the use of various products. My make up stayed in place all day and night pretty much. I cannot recommend her enough. She left me feeling like an absolute princess! Loved it and would definitely recommend her 😊 thank you Jess xxx

As someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup, it was important to me that my wedding day makeup was really natural and neutral. Jess asked questions and listened - really listened - to what was important for me on my special day. She is such a lovely caring person, was fun and friendly and totally put me at ease. My makeup was just amazing, all my guests commented on how lovely I looked and I felt a million dollars.

Jess did my make up for a friends wedding. I don't often wear alot of make up but she did an incredible job. The make up suited me and all the other bridesmaids individually but worked cohesivley together as well. It didn't feel heavy and lasted all day, which was great as the wedding was in Crete and was a hot day! In the pictures it looks fantastic as well. Would highly recommend. She is also a lovely person and considering she had the bride, 6 bridesmaids and the mother of the bride she was calm and got us all ready in time for the big day!

I’ve been lucky enough to have my make up applied by Jess on two occasions - once as part of a bridal party and secondly NYE and cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve used a few different MUA’s in the past but always felt a little clown like with the finished look being heavy & bold...you don’t need to fear that with Jess!

Jess takes everything you like on board and applies flawless, dewy make up without that caked-on look. The airbrushing leaves a stunning finish and it’s been lovely to have a good chat with Jess throughout, she’s so friendly and approachable!

Jess is very professional and talks you through what she’s thinking of doing based on your face shape/colouring and consults you before applying. Not only this, she tells you the products she’s using throughout so if needed you can repurchase yourself.

Jess is the perfect MUA for any event or special occasion, you only need to take a look at her Instagram to see her stunning work and how perfect she can make any face look.

Jessica was simply amazing! She did our wedding makeup and i honestly cannot rate her enough! We were all so pleased with our makeup and felt amazing. The makeup was stunning, lasted all day and night, and we did not want to take it off, infact i kept my lashes on for a good two days after! Jessica was just lovely, kind and professional, everything you would want for your bridal party. All the necessary precautions were put in place as needed during covid, but these were done without affecting the magical atmosphere of the morning. Thank you Jessica xx

By far the best make up I’ve ever had done. Not only was Jess super friendly and inviting she was also extremely professional and very talented. All her products were of high quality brands, and she also gave advice and tips on what colours would suit me best. To which she was correct and I was so happy with my makeup! I would always recommend Jess for any occasion.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend a group make up demo by Jess a while ago. It was a very enjoyable experience, and watching Jess perform her magic on one lucky lady was an eye opener for me. I thought I knew all I needed to know about make up, but I learned a lot that day. Jess provided us with written material to refer to, and we each received a free gift.
Her professionalism and skill was obvious, but what stood out for me was her friendly and kind nature.

My wedding makeup was something that I stressed about for a long time. I suffer with acne and combination skin and I am VERY self conscious.
I eventually found a makeup artist who's photos were elegant and classy, highlighting the natural beauty of the bride rather than masking imperfections.
From the first email Jess was professional and responsive.
During lockdown she responded quickly to my emails, acknowledged the uncertainties and never pushed me to pay my remaining balance.
The day of my wedding trial and Jess far surpassed my expectations. Her lovely barn was beautiful and I was met with the same friendliness and professionalism that came through the emails. With little knowledge of makeup "lingo" I told her I just wanted to look timeless. And this is exactly what she did.

On the day Jess went above and beyond! Even putting a little touch of makeup on my flower girls (without asking for more money). My mum and mother in law rarely wear makeup and were feeling apprehensive but in true Jessica Ava style she got the balance just right. Not too much but just enough makeup to make them look and feel glam and elegant.

A truly lovely wedding makeup experience. I cant thank Jess enough. I'll certainly be calling on her services for future events!

I got married in September 2019 and Jess was simply incredible. She was so lovely throughout the whole planning/email service and then even more wonderful in person. Not only is Jess incredibly talented at what she does and made me feel like a hollywood movie star on my special day but she was kind enough to help my bridesmaids with lashes etc when they were struggling to do theirs and I had not asked/paid Jess to help them.

As it does, things all become a rush at the end getting ready and Jess was so kind to help in anyway she could. She went above and beyond as a make up artist and not only made me look fab but listened to everything I asked for really carefully and also she looked gorgeous in my photos, what more could you want!

Jess is a complete professional in all elements of her work and I would absolutely highly recommend her and wish I was more local to have her do my make up again!

I have had the privilege of watching Jess navigate through an extremely difficult period for everyone in 2020 especially with their businesses.

Jess has & does go above and beyond for every single client she has & it is a testament to her as a person that she has put other peoples weddings and special days above her own financial situation during Covid 19.

Seeing Jess deal with hundreds of stressed brides trying to move their weddings, has been tough but I am so proud about how she has dealt with it & tried to maintain her own Mental Health while some 'trolls' have taken it upon them selves to try to bring her down and personally attack her on review sites and email.

Jess has hundreds & hundreds of extremely happy clients & is the best at what she does. So proud of you!

As the mother of the bridegroom who never wears much makeup, Jess did an amazing job with my makeup. She was so friendly and very professional, she took time to talk me through what she was using on me. I have to say I have never looked so good, even on my own wedding day 🙂. I would definitely recommend her her to all my friends who have weddings coming up. In these difficult times Jess made my son’s wedding so special for me.

Jess did my make up for a Christmas party and I absolutely loved it. My skin looked flawless and my boyfriend commented and how lovely I looked - which is always a bonus! The make up brands used are really high end which I also really liked and it was a treat to have my lashes done as I’m clueless. Definitely worth booking Jess for when you want to look like the best version of yourself.
