Terrible experience would not…

Terrible experience would not recommend. Ordered my carpets early December. Had them scheduled for fitting in February. The only turned up part of the carpet and had not told me the stair runner was not complete even though I had ordered it months ago. Had to wait a further month for the stair runner to be fitted only to find out they had ordered the wrong fittings for the stair rods. God knows how long it will take for this issue to be sorted. They have not take any responsibility for the issues. Paid a fortune for the carpets and the service has been atrocious.

Lovely staff

Lovely staff. Great choice on carpets and the carpet we got was fantastic quality. We are very pleased and will be going again next week for another bedroom carpet. Would also like to say the fitters did a great job and left it very clean.

Fabulous choice of carpets

Fabulous choice of carpets, LVF, Laminate and wood flooring.
Amazing customer service and prices are good value. Have used this company on several occasions and would highly recommend. I personally wouldn't go anywhere else for my flooring now as the customer service was excellent ***** Thankyou Sharon

Stairway and landing carpet

Simon at Jim’s carpets was friendly, helpful and advised me to choose my carpet for my hallway.
I was kept up to date on delivery and fitting times. I can recommend Jim’s carpets wholeheartedly.

Dreadful experience all round

Dreadful experience all round, Laminate flooring was seconds as colour match totally wrong, fitter was not experienced ..awful, customer service non existing , take advice and go elsewhere to avoid disappointment , quick to take your hard earned money.

Update ..Now the Company are saying it was my fault ..total Lies again and again ..Awful Company.

Great Service and range of products

Simon at Jim's carpets is very knowledgeable and provided helpful advice to make our selection of bedroom flooring. The sales process is straight-forward and not at all pushy.

The flooring was delivered and fitted when advised. A special shout out to the fitters, who went the extra mile changing the beading at the last minute.

Go elsewhere

Go elsewhere, honestly the whole experience has been awful.
From taking the money for the original carpet before it was even checked that it was in stock. Then having to change the carpet to receive one before Christmas to something that I didn’t really want. To then the carpet fitter coming out to fit the carpet and there wasn’t enough carpet. Caused by the guy that came out to measure the carpet at the beginning measuring completely wrong. When the new carpet was re ordered their fitter couldn’t fit the carpet before Christmas and there was no other fitter that they could find. I very much doubt any effort was put into finding a carpet fitter.
I then had to spend a day ringing around to get a carpet fitter before Christmas, which I managed to do. When it came to delivering the carpet no underlay or grips were delivered which were paid for, I had to contact them again to resolve this. When it came to fitting my carpet on the 22nd December, my carpet fitter explained to me there was not enough carpet for the rooms I wanted, I saw this with my own eyes, the carpet was laid out and measured in front of me and as it was a pattern it could not have been fitted any other way. I called the office right away to be told that there was nothing that could be done now until January, so I had no choice but to have my carpet fitters fit the carpet that they could as it was Christmas in a matter of days, this leaving me one room short.
After chasing in January I am now told that there is nothing that can be done and that they have measured correctly and that it is my carpet fitters fault. Hard to believe when they had measured it wrong in the first place don't you think. I am now left with a room uncarpeted and hundreds of pounds out of pocket as I'm having to find the exact same carpet (obviously from another supplier). No help from them, no I am sorry for all the problems. Nothing.
I would go elsewhere. A solution could have been reached, if customer service was important to them, but I guess it is not. Also this is the first review I have ever written, this is how strongly I feel regarding my experience.

Relyon latex pillows

My Relyon latex pillow I ordered on Amazon came from Jim’s carpets in Leeds which surprised me. I ordered one which arrived and was so pleased it looked exactly like the original Dunlopillow so ordered a second one which is the same white latex with no chemical smell unlike ones I ordered from another company which were very grey in colour and smelt very strongly of chemicals. I was delighted with the pillows from Jim’s carpets. It surprised me who the seller was.

Fantastic customer service

Recently bought carpets for stairs/landing/loft. We are really happy with them and found the customer service to be excellent. Sharon was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I found the choice daunting but she talked us through the options and we were able to take sample books home. We changed our mind after ordering and our amendments were accommodated with no fuss. This is the second time we have used Jim’s and would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Dont buy they sell SECONDS

Dont buy they sell SECONDS, take your money up front and then zero after sales/customer service....... 2 out of the 4 carpets have large faults on them - . even there own carpet specialist said they should never have been fitted as the faults are clearly visible. The fitters damaged the skirting of my newly fitted wardrobe and chipped the paintwork in my hall and bedroom. There are also gripper scratches on the walls. They offered to replace 2 carpets but with 50% being faulty and the damage i asked for a refund. At this point i was told i was after FREE carpets by the manager!!!!!. My husband has been dealing with him for the last 12 months - yes 12 months, promise of call backs and excuses. We paid 2k in total and they finally refunded a pittance of £138. Avoid avoid avoid

Jim’s were exceptional with customer…

Jim’s were exceptional with customer service, advice and guidance. They worked with us to understand our needs and fit in with our schedules which were ever changing due to renovation delays.
Their prices are fair, the fitters they use are friendly and professional and the products are top quality.
Special thanks to Sharon who looked after us and Wayne who fitted the Invictus flooring to perfection. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for flooring!

Very happy with everything

Very happy with everything - the quality of service, price, punctuality of delivery, and product knowledge of the staff. Sharon and Robert were super-efficient and knowledgeable. Chose and paid on the Saturday, surveyor (can't remember his name, great guy, very helpful & friendly) measured up on the Wednesday after and carpet fitted the week after. The fitter (Luke) in particular was OUTSTANDING. Carpet was fitted perfectly - and we are fussy! A tremendous job. More, he liaised with me so reliably during the day (I was at work), pointing out a few snags over WhatsApp to me, then resolved them. And when I found a small issue on getting home, he said no problem I will come back and fix. He arrived 20 minutes later. He himself had been at home but came out - what a professional. (If only everyone was like this!) He sorted the issue and even pointed out something that he didn't need to. Nothing was too much effort - clearly his motto is the customer is always right. Totally delighted with the whole experience.

Disappointing Experience

Firstly: Don’t think Jim’s Carpets is a quaint little carpet shop on Kirkstall Road. It’s a part of a much bigger operation called Floorstore with a huge warehouse at Cross Green and whose Directors live in those leafy suburbs North of Leeds where you and I can’t afford to buy a house.

Secondly: Despite claiming to be a family business with 135 year of history it’s values today do not live up to it’s promises. Any business that hides behind it’s Terms & Conditions in response to a genuine customer complaint is not one that I wish to do business with anymore and I shall not be returning.

Despite escalating my issues to the Directors, I was given apologies but regrettably they are not liable for seemingly anything that goes wrong after you have paid your money. Please see the T&C’s they said. They ensure you pay for all the materials prior to fitting and it is left to the sub contract fitters to make the best of what they can.

Most disappointing.
