This is a review from a seller rather than a buyer. They sent a very young "expert" to our period house. Suggested that our roof was unsafe and infested with wood beetle. The house was riddled with damp. Consequently we lost our cash buyer. We then paid for our own specialist surveyors at considerable cost to review these major issues raised. Two experienced people one assured us that there was no issues re the roof. Specialist re damp concluded that the only issue the house suffered from was condensation, which every house has modern or period.
I understand that these surveyors are acting for a buyer, however I would have thought exaggerating problems is neither helpful to either parties.

Excellent service from Joe Fraser Chartered Surveyors, i recently used them to retrieve a house valuation for a Help To Buy equity loan, the service offered was quick, professional and fair. The firm are approachable and friendly and i would highly recommend them to anyone.
