Hello this it’s orible I find in one…
Hello this it’s orible I find in one conserve of mackerel fillets on sunflower oil ,one small glass broke this it’s inadmissible better close that company because it’s killing people
Won’t recommend
Bought many times products from John West and in the same time the shopping centre own products to compare.
First of all, John West products are more expensive and less quality.
I believe this is because John West own the market and they are found in most of the shops.
I wouldn’t recommend them and will encourage customers to buy a similar product in the same time to compare them.
John west tuna chunks in sunflower oil
Tin half full of fish!! Bloody ripoff
YUK.
Just tried your Moroccan style salmon salad and, I have never tasted such horrible food. John West used to be a name to trust. Not anymore. Disgusting garbage, went down the loo where it belongs. 😡
I will never buy John west tuna again…
I will never buy John west tuna again or any products related to them. I found a bone in a can but only because my 2 year old pulled it from her mouth from a sandwich I made!!! I contacted them via email and they said they wanted to formally address it and send me a letter. When I received their letter all it said was that they do get bones from time to time and they hope I’ll continue to be a customer. Ummmm no. No no no I will never buy anything from them again. That could have been a lot worse for my child!
Awful disgusting company avoid
If I could give 0 I would awful company no customer service at all
Tried contacting them to complain regarding an awful tin of tuna that looked and smelt lousy all e mails rejected no one answering the phone disgusting company will never buy again
Smoked mussels
I recently purchased a tin of smoked oysters from my local Australian supermarket and was shocked to see on the package that they were made in China.
Australia has the best and freshest seafood in the world and I can’t understand why it would have to be made in China.
Make sure you read the package!
stemmed mackerel fillet
After a long time, I bought a few days ago stemmed mackerel fillet in extra virgin olive oil. The product was disgusting in every way. 1 / a quarter of the can was empty, 2 / there was no trace of fillet - just a shapeless mass together with the skin, 3 / extra virgin olive oil was definitely a joke because what was inside looked like greasy water (the taste was no better ). N.B. Product purchased in Sainsbury at beginnig of November 2020.
I don't know whether to blame…
I don't know whether to blame Sainsbury's or John West Specialities for my complaint. Yesterday in Sainsbury's I bought a tin of John West Specialities Shredded Crab Meat in brine, 170g (121g) drained of water for £3.05.This crabmeat was absolute rubbish and a total rip off. When I opened the tin it looked like very watery gruel and had no flavour at all. It was more like it had been whizzed up in a blender, there was not a sign of any crabmeat over a millimeter long, I don't know where they got the word "shredded" from. This product was to be for our tea in a couple of sandwiches but it had the consistency of blended blotting paper in water. I know what shredded crabmeat looks like, I live not 3 miles from Dungeness in Kent where I often buy crabmeat, so what this stuff was I haven't a clue. John West should have a look at what they are selling to their customers, and have the cheek to ask £3.05 for it.
JOHN WEST Steam Pot
Just had my first Lime & Coriander Couscous Steam Pot for Lunch. It was delicious.
And because was on offer extremely good value.
If you have access to a kettle, I would recommend this to anyone who likes Tuna and Coriander.
Not to mention it is high in protein and low in fat.
AWFUL
I lost a good shirt because of this company that refused to compensate me for a new shirt that I had to buy to replace the one damaged by tomato sauce which had stuck to the inside of their sardine tin lid and flicked all over my shirt when the tin was opened. The company uses a tab on the top of the tin as an opener which unlike other makes like Princess is not positioned in the centre of the end of the top of the tin, but rather to the side of centre. When the tab is pulled back it does not pullback evenly and this causes it to flip back suddenly and this is what happened to me and the sauce on the inside of the lid went all over my shirt. They were sent photos of the shirt and also the receipt of the order for the new shirt. It was explained to them why their sardine tin was badly designed and how this happened but they refused compensation claiming there was nothing wrong with the design of their tin which I dispute. I have explained to them that their sardines in other liquids do not have the same problem. I know this because I bought several tins of their sardines in different liquids in order to have a variety. I shall never ever buy products with this company's name on again.
