I have used the amazing original John…

I have used the amazing original John Frieda flawlessly straight shampoo for a few years and it works miracles to tame and smooth my thick hair without any sticky residue - it always feels and looks amazing.

However, when I could not find it in the shops I bought the infinite smooth, thinking it would be even better, but was bitterly disappointed! It smells awful, and it left my hair feeling as though it was covered in lard. When I dried my hair it looked a mess and felt horrible. I had to rewash my hair and will never use it again. Waste of money. Why in the world would you change a perfect product that everyone loves just for the sake of it? Utterly senseless.

New products are dreadful

My family and I have being long long time users of John Frieda product in particular Frizz Ease range. Not only the packaging has changed but the composition as well and the result is so so disappointing even dreadful: no more dream curls, no more shiny hair with the Dream Curls and the Infinite Smooth made my hair frizzier and my scalp itchy. I won't recommend John Frieda anymore . The word vegan should have been a warning. I will have to look elsewhere .

I hate the new formulation dream curls…

I hate the new formulation dream curls range mouse. Please change it back. It is awful. It is not effective. It does not give dream curls like the old formula. It gives a big frizz ball and does not hold the curls. I am now going around town trying to buy up the old stock where I can. I have used the old formula for over a decade. I won't be buying the new formula again and now have to try to find an alternative. Major own goal.

Change of ingredients - warning

I’ve used John Freida products for years and without fail regardless of the product they have worked well and I’ve never had a reaction to them. Today I tried 2 products that I assume were just new packaging of products I’ve used for years. One purple shampoo to get rid of brassy hues and also conditioners for dark hair. First the smell of the shampoo was a shock and it almost burned my skin it reacted to it quickly. The conditioner also felt wrong. I’ve come out of the shower with frizzy hair (doesn’t seem to work properly), itchy and sore scalp and swollen neck glands afterwards. This isn’t just new packaging - it’s new ingredients that are not as well tested for allergic reactions in all likelihood. While the reasoning is given as Vegan, the likelihood is also cost as this smells like cheap products. Suggest John Freida need to add Warning labels to skin test as different ingredients.

I have used Frizz Ease Miraculous…

I have used Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery for many years, and its been the best shampoo & conditioner i have ever found for my hair.
However, the new formula is awful! It's just like washing your hair in only water. The new shampoo & conditioner are very runny & actually matt my hair up.
I appreciate that Frizz Ease have tried to update their products to become more vegan friendly, and I am all for that, but sadly i will not be using Miraculous Recovery anymore.

I’ve used John Frieda for years but not any more

I’ve used John Frieda for years and it’s been great but the new conditioner doesn’t work any better than standard condition in my opinion. It also doesn’t smell great and feels more watery. Hopeless for tangled curly hair. I need an alternative asap.

I have naturally dense fine curly hair

I have naturally dense fine curly hair. Started to use the hair cream, used a pea size amount and emulsified in my hands then put on wet hair whilst in the shower and brushed through with my rehab brush and gently scrunched amazing results!! .
You really need to use the products correctly as in the past I used on damp hair and too much product which left it more of a frizzy mess. Your hair needs to be slightly dripping wet
My hairdresser commented on the condition of my hair 😊 this cream not only conditions it curls and gets rid of frizz

Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo & Conditioner

Smells awful. All vanilla & musk, like a 90s body-shop. It makes me gag.

When you've got curly or wavy hair, you don't wash it daily, so a nice fresh smell is pretty important. This stuff smells the complete opposite to fresh. I can't even get past the stench to comment on how it made my heir because I won't ever be buying it again. What on earth are they thinking?

John Frieda excellent customer service

Bought hair colour reviving shampoo and conditioner which didn’t suit my hair type. Took it back to Boots where it was purchased. They didn’t want to know and after 2 attempts to get a refund I gave up. Phoned John Frieda customer care line and they were so helpful. Basically they took the serial number which is on the crimped edge of the tube and asked me to choose replacement products from their online range. Also said to pass on the products I already had to someone who could use them. Replacement products arrived within a few days. First class customer care.

A bad purchase

I bought the John Frieda Dream Curl Creme to help my hair with curls/frizz/waves and was really disappointed, I have used it twice, first time on wet/damp hair and just had my hair dry naturally, and second time again wet/damp hair and used a diffuser, both times my hair was dry, andmessy looking, I had to wash my hair to remove the product which I only used a small amount as suggested. Didn't do anything for the frizz of my curls, my hair felt rough and dry. Was really hoping it would help with the warm weather and humidity we are having.

Don’t believe what it says on the tin!

I bought light weightless hair lacquer for fine hair and it doesn’t live up to the hype. I initially sprayed the lacquer on my handstand smooth down straggler flyaway hairs. It left my hair and hands sticky and was not easy to comb out as hair became tangled. Would not recommend and probably why it’s reduced.

John Frieda Profiller+

I used the shampoo, conditioner and spray. What a difference! My hair looked and felt so much thicker and so soft too - an unbelievable result on my very fine hair. Would recommend and will be using it again.

Turned a fantastic product to WATER.!!

Why on earth have this company changed the serum I've been using this since it was in a glass bottle with a pippet then obviously the larger former to the one on the market now which is like water I could use a whole vial of this awful replacement and still it would be useless I've been searching for the former everywhere!! My hair is not the same without it..why do companies change products that are brilliant and it isn't just my opinion it is an office full of men and women..

I've used john frieda original purple…

I've used john frieda original purple container hair serum for thick course hair to my horror it's vanished to be replaced with a rubbish replacement.
Which is much thinner different ingredients, cost cutting I'd say well I won't be using this replacement it does nothing.
Save your money,I thought it just a different packaging, don't be fooled ,it's rubbish .

Fantastic for me, but everyone’s hair is different

I’ve used John Frieda’s Precision Foam Hair Dye several times and have always been impressed with the results. It provides great grey coverage, leaves my hair shiny and vibrant, and has a milder scent compared to other dyes. The foam formula is especially useful for ensuring even application.

I’ve also started using the Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, deep conditioning mask, and Frizz Ease serum. They’ve all been fantastic in transforming my hair from dry and frizzy to smooth and glossy.

That said, it’s important to remember that everyone’s hair is different and can be affected by things like hormones, genetics, and the environment. What works well for one person might not work for another, which likely explains some of the negative reviews. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean the products are ineffective. Many of them are available in travel sizes, allowing people to test them out before committing to full-sized versions.

Ginger? Orange tones? Use this!!!

I used the john freda purple shampoo the intense one. I bleached my hair and it all fell out and I was stuck with orangey blonde hair, couldn't dye it again so I used john freda intense purple shampoo and honestly one wash and it sorted it out and the conditioner left it feeling amazing! I highly highly recommend 8 pound for the shampoo and 6 for the conditioner but well well worth it x

Words on products used describe hair is
negative. For example Frizz Ease is derogatory name. Multiple ethnicity group of women have frizzy hair. Why should we ease frizz!
