The name is a perfect fit for what it is.The name sets the expectations right where it needs to be. The whole thing is a joke. I’ve got the card as a gift, made a purchase and had to return the item.$28 of a refund was made but the card was keep telling me no it’s $19 and whole bunch of nonsense.Their website also never works don’t even waste your money or time.

I was gifted a card and when I first tried to use it it was declined. I tried several times and it continued to be declined.
To resolve this issue I called customer service 4 times. It was a nightmare trying to get through their automated system (6 minutes each time) and the first three calls the system hung up on me before I could talk to anyone.
I looked online and there was no way to talk to customer service or resolve this issue through their website. In fact I was redirected back to the phone number where the system was hanging up on me before I could speak with a customer service personal.
When I finally talked with someone they stated that they were unable to locate the issue and suggested that I "Try again at a different store". This is not the way to resolve the issue. The store I tried to use this at sells their cards so I know it should work there.
It took 56 minutes with Customer Service before I was again disconnected. Customer Service returned the call stating that I would receive a digital card within a couple of days. There was no compensation for the extra time and work it took to have this issue resolved

Add me to the list of people scammed by Joker and PayPal.

Bought a card for my daughter for $25 three days ago. She just checked the balance after activation and she found a balance of 78 cents. How this company is able to operate business when so many people have been scammed. Should be reported to the Govt authorities to pull them out of business for scamming people. Will also report to Shoppets Drug Mart for this experience and probably their branch may have some compromised systems. This fraudster company should be rported in the every forum to kick them out for this reason

Received a card that was purchased over a week. Tried registering the card online but I keep receiving this error “We are unable to process your request at this time. If you continue to receive this error, please contact Cardholder services by calling the number on the back of your card.” The phone number is inaccessible every time I call.

Beware they are a scam and someone on the same day I activated the Joker gift card, the money was stolen immediately. I contacted the customer service number, and they sent me an email requesting my government-issued ID and other stuff. Do not pursue the compromised card it is a scam. We lost $500 on this card

I cannot activate my card on the site, and yes, I didn't click on any scam links. I read about how you need to disable adblock, I did, it still isn't working. I believe my $50 is gone now, I called the various numbers and all of them are suspiciously down.

I paid for 100$ for a pre-paid JOKER visa card, i try to register it, and it doesnt even work. When i try to call the number on the card, it says there's a wide spread technical outage. And says to visit their website for real time updates, but on the website theres nothing about it and im starting to think i just wasted 100$ for nothing. I cant pay for anything or check any other cards i used to own before.

Have had these same cards in past to make online game purchases via apple. Now they have chosen to block this. It is not shown anywhere when you purchase these. What absolute garbage

I got 2x $200 Joker prepaid Visa cards to use for Ubers around my city. I’ve only used $217.42 worth of Ubers (trips + tips), but Joker card declined and it shows that I’ve cumulatively used $268.90. They’ve overcharged me by $51.48. I checked the balances and all my uber transactions and they charged me twice for one of the transactions - they charged it once on one of the cards, uber informed me the card didn’t have sufficient funds so I put it on the other card only for them to not actually refund me at all. This is unacceptable. If you put in $400 into prepaid Visa cards, you should be able to use the $400, not be scammed like this. I tried to reach out to customer service as well but it’s basically all robots. I can’t get to a person.

At my request my son bought me a Jokercard that I had problems registering. Eventually, we were able to register the card and used it for one transaction on AliExpress. Subsequent attempts to purchase anything with the card failed, and it took so many attempts to check the balance on the card. When we succeeded, the balance on the card was less than it should be, meaning it recorded me as using much more cash than I actually did. I doubt if I would ever buy another Jokercard.

I bought a prepaid Visa card for my dad. He doesn't live in Canada so he likes to get them when he's here so he can shop online when he's back home.
We had several problems registering the card. It failed inexplicably several times after the 24-hr wait for activation. When we finally registered it, I registered it under his name and email but my physical address since it required a Canadian address.
His first purchase worked as expected. The card has not worked since. Additionally, on their website, when I check the balance, there are charges for ~$37 CAD (~$24 USD + a foreign transaction fee) which aligns with what my dad bought. But ~$50 has been taken off the card.
I called them to address the two issues and it was a nightmare. The number on the card goes to an automated system with no option to talk to a human. You have to dig through pages of terms and agreements on their website to find the number to speak to a human. Then, when I spoke to someone, I was not allowed to do anything because it was registered in my dad's name. Even though I had all the card info. After speaking with four different agents, I eventually had to add my dad to a conference call at a huge cost. The information they "confirmed" was just my address that I relayed to him. And after all that, they were not able to tell me why the card was not working. And according to their magical system, the first transaction was for ~$49 CAD plus the transaction fee. They could not tell me why this was different from the online portal.
0/5 stars. I am never using their services again and I would not recommend them to my least favourite person.

I received gift card for Christmas it expired in 2026 after trying numerous times to activate , call , email for help and never getting any assistance I would say this is the worst gift card ever . Unbelievable how you cannot get any help . This card will not work and you can’t get help . Don’t buy them!!! Edit . I sent an email back to you . Edit never heard another thing after sending back information you requested . What a waste of money for the person who gifted this to me. Shame on you.

After a few tries I was able to register the card and check the card's balance on the website (which shows it should work), but it's only ever been declined when used at stores in-person or online. Super frustrating

Literally a scam, i bought a 85$ card, i use them alot but i knew something was fishy because the cards stopped working very easily.
I did two purchases and wrote how much $$ there is left, from 85$, to 52$ then 20$, when there is 20$ left, the card completely stops working and if i try to check the balance, it says that they cant do anything at the moment, which is fake because 10 seconds later, a new card works well.
Dont buy joker cards if you dont want the company stealing a part of it and making you feel like its an error from your part.

Someone gave my son a $25 Joker card, he tried to buy Roblox online and it doesnt work. After I tried to register the card online and it asks you for a lot of personal info, including submitting your photo ID. For $25 I'm not risking identity theft, this is ridiculous.

The worst gift card to have. Lost almost over 200 dollars. Used the card in walmart and we lost the rest from a name called daisy. (Seems like a scam). Complained through the appropriate email provided. They said they cannot refund them. Please do not buy their cards.

I bought two JOKER prepaid cards from two different stores – I haven’t been able to activate or use either of them. I’ve tried multiple times, on different websites and devices, but nothing works. I contacted the stores – they claim everything went through correctly on their end and say they can’t help. In reality, I’ve lost $100.
This feels like a complete scam – the company offers no real support, and the customer is left with nothing. I strongly warn others: don’t buy these cards, you’ll only lose your money and patience.
Update: After posting my original review, I was contacted by JOKER’s customer support. It turned out the issue was related to a security check. The team was very helpful and sent me new, working cards. I appreciate their prompt response and assistance. While the initial experience was frustrating, the situation was ultimately resolved in a positive way. Thank you for your help.
