Awaiting refund!
Dress ordered via Debenhams and returned/ tracked by Royal Mail. Was returned to them on 29 December, still awaiting refund…looking at the other reviews, I’m hoping they will take this opportunity to redeem themselves and issue my refund promptly…
Waiting too long for my refund
I would have give them zero rating and this is because of their returns policy. I bought some items from debenams with jolie moi dress .I had to send it separately because its a concessions in debenams store .I have received my refund for everything except for the jolie moi dress and its over a month now. I will advise people to think carefully before buying anything from jolie moi .
Wrong item sent
I ordered a cream dress and was sent a oyster dress. This colour was not even in the list of colours for the dress i ordered. I asked for a free returns label but Jolie said no as they said it was the correct item, nothing like. Luckily Debenhams did sent a free label.
Quick delivery, great value for money.
Ordered on Friday, delivered on Monday. I'm a large size 10 and the dress (10) fits really well. Very happy with my purchase, good quality and looks amazing.

I ordered a dress in 2 different sizes direct from Jolie Moi website before reading all these bad reviews which really worried me. However my experience was good, dress was lovely so kept the correct size and returned the other, refund was done and money appeared in my account within 10 days of posting dress back. Communication was lacking though, received none except initial text confirming order. Also had to pay delivery and pay for the return which is unusual and I hadn't expected that.

I bought a dress which had a faulty zip. I returned it for a refund. They sent it back saying zip was fine. It wasn't because even they struggled to do it up in 1 go. Staff are incompetent and haven't a clue. I asked for managing directors details to complain but they wouldn't respond. I will never buy from these guys again.
Struggle to get a refund
I bought a Jolie Moi dress via Debenhams and returned it via the tracked prepaid label (as didn’t fit). I was advised the refund would take 14 working days, when 14 days had passed I contacted to query where it was and I got no reply. I waited 3 days and emailed again; still no reply. So this morning I contacted Debenhams and they arranged the refund straight away. Wished I’d looked at the reviews on here first
This is by far the worst experience…
This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with a retailer. I have never encountered ‘customer service’ like it. They are very aggressive in their emails and it has caused me immeasurable distress to the point of seeking legal assistance.
I ordered from their website and received a dress with a loose seam, knotted cotton and a piece of plastic protruding from the seams. The worst of it was located at the side of the waist, so very obvious in a stretch fabric when worn that the seam is coming apart and there’s plastic sticking out of it.
I contacted them with photos of the dress and they offered a partial refund or prepaid delivery label for a return.
I then received another email rescinding the offer and saying, actually ‘just cut the loose threads and plastic’. They sent a photo of the same dress with plastic sticking out saying ‘look, it’s just where the tag is attached’ (at the waist).
After lots of back and forth, they provided the prepaid postage label and I returned the dress along with another item (the entire order).
They then refunded me for the other item only.
I got back in touch and was told that they had ‘not received’ the dress.
More back and forth ensued ending with another turnaround from them.
They emailed saying that they now believed the dress in my photos to be much darker than the one they had sent and that I had misled them so they were deducting the postage from my refund.
This is after they’d sent several emails explaining that the defect on that dress, the one in the photos, were perfectly normal. Yet all of a sudden, the dress isn’t even theirs and no one knows where it is.
There seems to be zero common sense used. The fact that a navy dress might look darker on one photo than another is simply a given yet to them it was another opportunity to accuse the customer of being in the wrong.
I’m now down £50. It might not sound like a lot but that coupled with the way they’ve treated me has led me to take legal advice. It’s about the principle as opposed to the money.
All of this over a simple dress that they sent out with defects. I will never buy from this retailer again.
Update: I sent the original photos again but this time zoomed out clearly showing the navy dress with defects and they replied saying ‘thank you for acknowledging the first photos were of a black dress’. With no apology for accusing me of being dishonest and ‘misleading’ them (which is ironic), they then demanded the postage receipt to check the weight. I now see this is a regular tactic used by them.
They have also threatened to sue me for defamation if I share this information online or on social media. Seemingly they are unaware that telling the truth is a complete defence to such a claim.
I don’t know if this is one individual member of the ‘customer service’ team (Kate in this instance) dealing with these issues but, if so, they are in desperate need of some training. I imagine they are losing the company a lot of money because of their aggressive and nonsensical approach to returns.
BEWARE THEY DO T REFUND YOU FOR EVERYTHING RETURNED
BEWARE I sent 4 dresses back they refunded me for 3 the credit card company are investigating when I sent them back 2 dresses in each parcel they said it was very important that the weight was registered as that would show how many items were sent back there was 1g of difference between each parcel showing they were basically the same. They have had a break in that’s on there web site and I think they have a cash flow problem they had 40 something days to reply to credit card company they came back to them on the last day I think hoping that I would have thrown paperwork away wrong ! still waiting to resolve this would not buy from them again items returned on 5th June don’t bother trying to contact them they don’t respond this will be going all over Facebook everyday if it’s not resolved just as people are starting to buy for Christmas and I will continue to post until it’s resolved I think this is the only way sad really these companies are allowed to trade use silkfred they are brilliant
A nightmare
A nightmare, I am currently pregnant and had nothing that fit me anymore. I was so happy to have found a brand that matches my style. I ordered 3 dresses that I never received, which cost me a total of 200 dollars, it's been over a month already and nothing !, a real nightmare.
The customer service doesn't respond to me, no explanations, no refund. I think this website is just a scam! I'm so disappointed.
Ok but not the best
I've been a repeat buyer at Jolie Moi for four years now, and always been very happy with my outfits. This last one had a few red flags... the sizing seems a bit off (too large), the cut on the jumpsuit is a bit clunky, the material feels cheaper (quite like polyester), and the labels are cheap and badly stitched in - in a move very reminiscent of OG Karen Millen vs Boohoo Karen Millen. Makes me wonder if the company has been taken over or they've changed manufacturers? The recent terrible reviews do not fill me with confidence either. If I consider purchasing again from them, I'll be looking very carefully at reviews to see if there's improvement. Given their ridiculous returns / no exchange policy, one can't buy with confidence as returns are basically pointless. Here's hoping they haven't gone down the pan!

Do NOT use this company.
Returned two dresses totalling £170 and it took 5 weeks to get a refund but only because I had purchased through Debenhams and I got them on the case.
I followed the refund instructions to the letter, even paying £15 for signed delivery so I had proof they had received it.
They are absolutely dreadful with communication and even with Debenhams helping, it still took 3 requests for my money to be returned.
They will ignore your emails.
As businesses go, this one is not deserving of anyone’s money.
Don’t buy Joliemoi from Debenhams or anywhere
Unfortunately, same problems with returns. I am also £65 down. They say will respond to email, not a peep. Followed instructions to the letter have receipt of postage. No refund after 4 weeks. Shocking!
Fast refund
Easy to order from this company and I was really happy with the dress. I bought two options so sent one back, the returns process was easy enough, you do have to pay for your own postage but the process was pretty simple. The full refund was back in my account in less than a week from posting the item back. Would buy from them again!

EDIT: Since my review I emailed again and was issued with a prompt refund. Disappointed I had to chase but a result nonetheless.
The dress I ordered arrived with holes in on the hem which I never noticed till after washing in a wash bag. They refused a refund or exchange but instead a gesture refund, that I accepted. This has not been refunded. They are selling below standard clothes and are thieves.

Lovely dresses but you have to pay 3.95 for delivery (even if total comes up to over 100 pounds) and you have to pay for returns which for 2 dresses it was over 5 pounds. I wouldn't order from this site again purely due to the cost of delivery and returns. There are so many sites that offer pick up /return to a certain shop for free (DPD/hermes shop) so why use this site?

Fab experience!
Had a very good experience with this company. Ordered a dress directly from them, as john Lewis had sold out of it. Next day I spoke to customers services, as an unexpected family event came up. They went above and beyond to get my dress delivered next day. Very elegant dress. Had a fab day. Unfortunately I don't recall the customer service lady's name. Thank you So much for your assistance.
