Absolutely useless online customer…

Absolutely useless online customer service. Generic responses and no sense of responsibility.

2nd time they haven't provided tracking number and usually require signature on delivery so how am I supposed to know when, where or if to pick it up?

Lovely styles but my online experience has been a total let down.

Buyer beware!

This was my first time ordering from Jo Mercer, and the last! I consulted their size guide and purchased two pairs of sandals in size 37 based on their recommendation after carefully measuring my feet. Big mistake! The shoes were at least one size too big and impossible to return. Customer service was most unhelpful and now I am stuck with them... Do not bother ordering online unless you have tried them on first. A waste of time and money!

Not true to size

Not true to size. AT ALL! Couple of pairs of boots here that fit nobody. 42 is NOT 42. I love some of the boots right now. But not confident to order.

I bought 3 pairs of the same shoes in…

I bought 3 pairs of the same shoes in different colours costing around $650. I had to return all of them as they actually fell apart. So disappointing as l loved the shoes. I returned them to the store and got a full refund on them. I got no explanation or a sorry for the terrible quality of these shoes. I did appreciate the refund and I had no trouble getting the refund I think the staff were probably embarrassed at the way the shoes had just fallen apart and were unwearable. I would never buy another pair of shoes from JM

Disappointing Experience and dismissive customer service.

My experience buying online from Jo Mercer seems to be the same as most the other reviews. The customer service agents were like robots with absolutely no compassion for my just wasting $500 for shoes that don’t fit and can’t be exchanged. Even if they pretend to care instead of making you feel like a complainer! DON’T buy online unless you are 100% sure the shoe will fit and DEFINITELY don’t buy a shoe on sale because you can only get a credit note. The customer service girl sounded like she couldn’t have cared less. I know this is a first world problem but I will NEVER shop Jo Mercer online store ever again and the whole experience has left such a bad taste that I will probably try to sell the credit note. Very disappointing experience. Really wish I’d read all the reviews first!!!

Poor quality, even worse customer service.

I bought a pair of shoes that was quite literally unwearable. They caused several blisters and a pretty bad abrasion on one toe. When I called the company to express my concerns, I was dismissed. I emailed with photos so they could see proof of the injuries caused by the seam of the shoe. They couldn’t care less. So I am stuck with a pair of shoes I can’t wear. I’ll never shop at Jo Mercer or buy their shoes from any other retailer again. Buyer beware!

Terrible shoes and poor customer…

Terrible shoes and poor customer service.

I bought the most stunning platform flats. 2 months later the fake leather is peeling off the sole and the sole is literally coming off the bottom of the shoes. These were $259. Customer service put it down to "wear and tear' and said there was nothing they could do.

Clearly they market themselves as a premium brand but really poor quality made product from China. Clearly using something other than 'leather'.

Would not shop here, save the heartache - way better shoe brands out there

Heinous customer service and shoddy shoes.

Customer service was heinous to deal with. When I reached out to address my experience, I was met with indifference and a refusal to take responsibility for their shoddy product.

$220.00 Ainsley dress flats - Ice Blue. Regrettably, after wearing the shoes on one occasion (a polo event. ON GRASS.) I noticed a significant chip at the point of the shoe, leather had flaked off and significant damage to the sole. Store would not replace, offer to repair or refund based on 'wear & tear' the shoe was clearly faulty as it was worn only once. Terrible quality. (not to mention the blisters I earnt). Shoes should not 'wear' after one outing.

Save your money!! - and avoid the disappointment & heartache of dealing with Jo Mercer. Their lack of quality control and disregard for customer satisfaction is beyond comprehension.

As per consumer law, consumers are entitled to a product/service that is safe and without fault, that looks acceptable and performs as expected. If the product/service does not, consumers have a right to a repair, replacement or refund. - How can they get away with not providing a remedy to clients????

***** Go spend $25.00 on Target flats. you can hike, party, rock climb and look fabulous in those bad boys and they will last years!!!! *****

Had a $50 gift card I went to use which…

Had a $50 gift card I went to use which I didn’t realise had expired by a week or so.

Emailed their customer support to see if they would honour it and was told that there was nothing they could do.

Unsustainable landfill material

I should have read reviews before purchasing anything from JM… but I didn’t, in fact one pair of sandals I bought from
JM I was happy with. But then I bought two more pairs of shoes, Ziggy boots started disintegrating from wear one. After Wear 10 I had to chuck them. Upon providing pictures, JM processed a refund.
The other pair I bought is completely inconsistent with the sizing and won’t even fit me. But because I bought them from overseas - it is too expensive to return.
So - avoid! Unsustainable, poorly made, landfill material!

…APPAULING

I bought 4 pairs of shoes and to find they were broken within the first week. What ever you do people DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND IT'S A COMPLETE FAKE. THE BOTTOM SOLES STARTED TO RIP. I did purchase them online and spent nearly $1000. I was so distraught and so very unsatisfied I walked into Bondi Junction shop to find the RUDE assistant to simply tell me she couldn't help me with a refund. I was so very nice about it because I was asking questions she then threatened me that she was going to call security to usher me out of the store. ALL I CAN SAY IS IM NOT GIVING UP - I WANT MY MONEY BACK. PLEASE I SAY PLEASE NEVER BUY FROM THIS BRAND. I HAVE RUNG A CURRENT AFFAIR TO AIR MY STORY - WATCH THIS STORY. IM JUST ABOUT TO MAKE A CALL TO THE ACCC.

The boots were amazing BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE A 0

The boots were amazing, bone coloured ankle boot. What gave them a one was their couldn’t care less attitude when asked for help with scuffing that lifted the colour completely. Very dismissive and no alternative, loved the boots but not at limited wear and not able to wear as they look disgusting, Buyer be ware on buying bone coloured shoes or boots from them, not worth it.

Very very disappointed with Jo Mercer products

Me and my girlfriend purchased 4 pairs of shoes at a cost of near $1000.
Within the first week one pair had to be returned because it broke, a few months later after only wearing them a dozen times 2 lots totally fell apart, the shoes couldn't be replaced due to stock, and refund wasn't an option as there was a deal on so they would only give refund for 3/4 the cost.
After asking them to repair the shoes which they happily obliged to even tho it was very inconvenient as we don't live near a store the 4th pair have now broken!!!
This is not acceptable in any way for the price paid.
I've had kmart shoes that have never broken.
I will never buy from them again and suggest you don't!!

Jo Mercer - are your shoes made of dog and cat skin from China!!!

A number of people have asked Jo Mercer shoes where their leather comes from considering they get their shoes manufactured from China. Hopefully more people are becoming aware of the despicable and horrific cat and dog torture and killing for their skin which is used in the manufacture of shoes, gloves, belts, wallets etc. in China. There has been no response from Jo Mercer in any of these queries via any platform that I have seen. They are happy to respond to all other questions but not the question asked if the shoes are made with dog and cat leather!!!! We want answers Jo Mercer! Are you using dog and cat skin to make your shoes that are manufactured in China?? We deserve to know the truth. Please answer so we can be sure we are not supporting this despicable torture.
Beware consumers what you may be supporting! Silence speaks louder than words.

Do not buy anything from this store

I bought two pairs of wedge sandals in late April 2022. Wore one pair maybe 20 times maximum over a 5 month period (and mostly to work to sit at my desk, or out to dinner etc) and the sole has snapped in half. I’ve worn the second pair less frequently, maybe half as many times, and they are starting to snap. These shoes retail for $190 each. Ridiculous. I’ve never had a pair of shoes from them that has lasted more than a few months before they start falling apart. Never again. Yet to take them back to complain, but based on similar experiences people have had on other review sites, I’m not hopeful. Credit note is useless to me. As if I’d ever buy anything from them. Watch this space…

The worst customer service I have…

The worst customer service I have received in a very long time.
I ordered a bag and the following week they refunded me with no explanation, no correspondence whatsoever. I had to email twice before I got an answer. After I had received the refund, I was very confused as the item was still in stock and available for purchase on their website. By the time they got back to me, it was sold out. They 'thanked me for reaching out' something that I should not have had to do, called me by the wrong name and told me it had sold out and that was that. They also had the same bag in a slightly different colour that they could have offered me and I would have been happy with that, but they didn't feel the need to contact me at all to explain what had happened or offer a solution. I note that now, days later, the bag is again, back in stock. I honestly can't believe businesses operate this way. It was my first and last time purchasing from this company.

I placed an order online for 2 pairs of…

I placed an order online for 2 pairs of shoes and stupidly chose click and collect from the wrong store. I was in a rush as I needed one of the pairs for that evening, so I drove to the Castle Hill store which is my closest, and explained what had happened. The staff member that helped me was so relaxed and more than happy to help me fix up my stuff up. It was no issue at all, I had the shoes in my hands within two minutes and she was on the phone sorting out the second pair getting sent out to me. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and such a great customer service experience.

I wore one pair of shoes for under 15…

I wore one pair of shoes for under 15 minutes and the buckle snapped off.
The second pair, I wore for under 15 minutes and they broke off and almost caused me a twisted ankle
Now they want the shoes back, though they were sent to my home, before a refund is provided to me.
Irritated doesn't even cut it. Crappy shoes and crappy service.

Had to throw the shoes away..

Had to throw the shoes away... recently bought the slip on shoes, went for a walk in them just once and realised they are not possible to walk in, they were just constantly falling off my feet, tripped a few times. It was really frustrating, tiring and unsafe experience. Obviously it is a design fault. When I went back to the store (in Westfield, Carindale) trying to return/replace... anything really... had been told that they cannot help me. At all. Well. That’s the way to keep the customers happy! Sadly, had to throw the shoes away...
