Wow, what can I say, from the off set Hannah has been an absolute star. From helping me in the show room picking my kitchen to coming round my house and measuring up and designing my kitchen, all in 2 days. How she managed to get the appliances in and cupboard space in my small kitchen is totally beyond me. Took so much stress away. Totally recommend and Hannah is a credit. Thank you

In October we had a Jonas and James designer come to our house to measure for a kitchen. He measured wrong and the end result was we ended up with a dishwasher too large which J&J have refused to take back. This after the designer expressly told us The Range would accept anything back we didn’t need. Clearly we don’t need the dishwasher, it doesn’t fit because he measured wrong. Anyway here is my email from J&J blaming me for their designers incompetence. This is what to expect when something goes wrong. 33% of reviews are 1 star so avoid unless you want Claire writing to you like this.

Kitchen purchases can be complex, however, we assure you that every effort is made to get back to our customers as quickly as we can.  We are very sorry for any frustrations caused whilst your case has been under review. 

As a supply-only retailer, we strive to ensure our designers are completely transparent and clear throughout our customer's journey, with our designers providing accurate information.  To ensure no information given verbally is ambigious we also provide a comprehensive installation guide, as well a copy of our Terms & Conditions, so that our customers have all the correct and full information pertaining to their kitchen purchase and our services.  I have attached copies, including your signed copy of the T&Cs for ease of reference.

Our designers will undertake a free initial home visit for the purpose to gather as much information as possible to assist them in the design process. In our order documentation, we expressly state that, “Our designers are not technical experts and you or your Installer should have checked that all measurements are correct and that cabinets and appliances are the correct model or specification. You or your Installer should have checked that the kitchen can be installed as designed. We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred as a result of failure to carry out the above.”

We understand you checked your items after delivery, within the 14-day reporting time, however, this is for any potential damages, faults or missing items.  In our installation guide we reinforce the above message, stating “As per our terms and conditions a pre installation survey is required by your chosen installer to check all measurements and order details for accuracy.  We cannot be held accountable for any measurement issues highlighted during installation, where a pre-installation survey has not been completed.  You can make changes up to 14 days prior to delivery, after this time additional costs may be incurred.  We are a retailer only, our designers typically have no experience of actually fitting kitchens themselves and they therefore cannot identify some of the issues which occur during the normal fitting process.  It would appear that you did not commission a pre-installation survey or, if you did, then it was the provider of that survey who would be liable, not ourselves.

We do not wish to hear that our customers are experiencing issues in finishing their kitchen project and we would like to assist as best we can.  Whilst, outside of the reporting timeframe, we are prepared to send out a replacement appliance door free of charge.

In regard to the original dishwasher, again this has not been brought to our attention within the reporting time, although if not faulty or damaged this would not apply.  However, in circumstances if an unused appliance is found to not meet the customer's requirements (change of mind), and it reported within 28 days, a collection could be considered for a full refund.  Unfortunately, as this time has passed we are no longer in a position where a collection and refund is possible under a change of mind.  We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

As previously said, 33% of reviews are 1 star. That’s a one in three chance you wish you’d gone to Howdens or B&Q.

What I can expect now is another copied and pasted response from Claire but nothing they say now will help. Their designer measured wrong, my fault. Quoting T&C is not customer service.

I had concerns about the quality of a kitchen from The Range but Daljit was brilliant and took time to show me how the quality and his service levels were significantly better than competitors.

Daljit also took great care and attention and designed a well thought out, practical kitchen with numerous onsite visits to go through the quirks of the space and to clearly and expertly advise on what would work best for me.

Daljit spent time to understand me and my style and helped my ideas and thoughts become reality, right from the start he totally got me and produced a CAD that allowed me to finally see how my ideas would look before placing the order.

The kitchen was delivered on time and after only 3 weeks; there were a few minor product faults along the way but Daljit resolved everything quickly and calmly with replacement parts following on quickly - now the kitchen cupboards and appliances are excellent.

Daljit also worked hard to get the very best price for me and was able to offer personal rather than professional advise on kitchen fitters of good reputation....who, btw, have also been very good.

Buying a new kitchen is a stressful time as it's a lot of money, especially with the high fitting costs and in the current economy so I am extremely pleased with kitchen quality and with Daljit's work ethic and his service level.......my advice is go see Daljit in Coventry The Range, he'll create the perfect kitchen for you and it'll be great quality!

A few months ago my partner and I decided to update our kitchen.
We looked around and obtained several quotations from other companies that offered similar products and services to Jonas & James in Coventry
We found that not only was the service first class from start to finish, the product was far superior and Daljit was exceptional in every way

Heart broken, my long awaited kitchen is not the success it should of been. After being recommended to the brand by a friend, who had recently used was excited at the prospect of a brand new kitchen. We visited the store to look at the options & speak to the designer. Arranged for him to visit our home & measured up, discuss what we wanted, then went off to design our dream. A few days later we returned to the store & after viewing the plans agreed the designs & paid in full for the kitchen - over £9000.00. The designer came out again to check the measurements & confirm we were happy with the plan. During the 8wk wait, the designer left the Company. Our kitchen was delivered, many parts arrived broken or were missing. We couldn't get hold of anyone to assist with these issues, eventually in desparation after a couple of days we booked a fake appointment for a kitchen, within half an hour we received a call. We ordered a bespoke paint colour which has already chipped, parts which show on the plans not supplied & told we can order at a cost to us... Parts supplied that don't fit, when queried advised that was normal & our fitter would need to sort an alternative, out of the off cuts. Kitchen not designed to fit the space & apparently that is our fault for not checking the designers measurements, despite him coming out twice to measure & designing being his job, not mine isnt that part of the service paid for? Supplied excess parts which were not required, like a complete work top & other parts but will not take back to refund despite purchased as ordered by designer. Happy to take your money then stand back & hold their hands up everytime you raise a query, stating you should of checked, our terms & conditions state.... Would never recommend them to anyone & unless you want to be dissapointed I advise you to avoid. I will be taking my complaints further but its taken the shine off my new kitchen.

Having looked to replace our kitchen for some time, but always seeming to receive poor initial experiences with other well known kitchen brands in trying to get our ideas to open up the existing kitchen, utility and partial side return into a workable design, it was so refreshing to meet Hannah at the Portsmouth branch.

After a brief initial discussion, Hannah arranged to visit the following day personally to take measurements and to help visualise the possibilities. Shortly afterwards we were presented with three or four variations to help make better use of the whole area and draw it all together.

Having chosen our preference from these, Hannah was very patient with our further questions and alterations over the next week or two around various accessories and the order and dimensions of one particular bank of cupboards while we tried to identify what we thought would be the best combination for us. None of it seemed too much trouble and we soon had the kitchen on order.

Hannah also assisted when we needed to compare flooring samples and allowed us to match in store against our chosen cupboards and worktops.

Though not directly linked with Jonas & James, Hannah did provide the details of a fitter she'd previously worked with - this turned out to be another great asset as the combination of well manufactured quality units, a knowledgeable designer and skilled craftsman meant the kitchen was transformed, completed on time and to an extremely high finish.

We couldn’t be happier and for anyone considering refitting or redesigning their kitchen we would have no hesitation in recommending they book in for a visit and quote from Hannah.

We found the showroom in the Portsmouth range shop. Hannah the kitchen designer introduced herself and we discussed the style of kitchen we wanted and we looked at some door sample colours we were really pleased when Hannah said we could choose a bespoke colour for a small extra charge even get a sample for us . We chose a Coca-Cola red Hannah then designed and emailed in great detail our future kitchen. Delivery was very quick and everything arrived in good condition. Hannah's customer care had that going the extra mile quality even hand delivering handles for the cabinets.the finished product looks amazing. So many friends and family comment on how amazing it looks . We are so glad we chose a jonas and james kitchen and Hannah to design it.

I recently bought a kitchen from Colin in the range stockport he made it so easy from start to finish
He worked on a plan for me until I was happy with it.
We couldn't have it fitted straight away due to needing external work needed first so he put it on hold till we were ready.
He recommended a fitter for us and what I can say about Steve hegley is he's a absolute genuine guy and definitely a perfectionist plus no job is too much for him and for a workman he was remarkably tidy.
He even left us with a workable sink until he had to come back and fit the new one as I had to wait for the worktops to be fitted.
We did have a common issue with the odd thing not being delivered but this is how good colin was as he was at the time on holiday in morrocco he still ordered the parts
I can not praise colin or Steve Hegley any more they are 2 fantastic guys

Arthur Castillo was our designer and he was exceptional, really helpful, friendly and easy to talk to, even although all our appointments were online we felt like he really looked after us from the beginning to the end of the process.
We are more than happy with our fabulous new kitchen. The quality is number 10, the delivery was on time and the cabinets were easy to assembled.

We visited Jonas and James at The Range in Paignton,Devon, liked what we saw in the kitchen displays and then spoke to Richard and were very impressed with his knowledge of all the products that were available from Jonas and James. We arranged for Richard to visit us to take measurements and to discuss our new kitchen requirements. Although we already knew what we were looking for Richard also came up with some ideas which we took on board. He provided us with detailed plans and drawings and also put us in touch with some kitchen fitters that he recommended, one of which we used. The fitter we used was Jake Cornforth who did an excellent job and is a really lovely guy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for him. Throughout the whole process from ordering to delivery and installation everything went to plan and if we ever needed to speak or see Richard he was always available. We would thoroughly recommend using this company of which Richard is a great asset.

Don’t waste your time and money to use this company. There is no customer service and they will give you the poor service. I have ordered my from them and it was incomplete and wrong worktop and from last three two months no one responded me and even no one pick up the phone of anyone.
So kindly protect your money.

I visited The Range in Paignton and spoke to Richard Bickerton as I was looking for a new kitchen. Richard visited my home and I explained i needed a total transformation! I didn't have enough cupboard space and I hated my sink on the side of my house! No window. Well a total transformation is what Richard achieved. I have my window/sink at the back of my house now and extra cupboard space and my kitchen is perfect.
I never thought it would be possible but with Richard's expert advice he's designed my dream kitchen. I want to express my appreciation for your hard work. He went above and beyond to design my kitchen. I would highly recommend this business.

We ordered a kitchen from Colin at Stockport. Colin was very helpful and returned any calls we made and also kept in touch with us throughout our building work. He came out and made all the measurements and provided us with a detailed plan. We fitted the kitchen ourselves and had a few small issues that Colin came out to see what the issues were and helped arrange replacement of 2 damaged panels and helped with a size alteration issue.

My kitchen was designed by Louise from Swindon. I found her very professional and helpful with the design and answered all of my queries. I use Purco Interiors for the fitting and they did an exceptional job.
The one downside is the Customer Care Team are not be as professional. Lydia Noble

We visited the jonas & James store @ the Range Bury, we took a look at all the colours and styles available to us, once we were happy and decided on the design the showroom Manager Saj arranged to come out and take all the measurements and was very helpful in arranging everything. The kitchen arrived exactly as we expected and has been fitted to a very high standard. We couldn’t be any happier with our absolutely amazing new kitchen. We would like to add Saj really looked after us from the second we walked in the entrance right to the very end of fitting etc of the kitchen. He answered all our questions and put us at ease and provided excellent service and support throughout the whole purchase. So pleased we selected Jonas & James Bury for our new kitchen.

Visited Jonas & James Bury after viewing Kitchens on Facebook, discussed my ideas with the showroom manager Saj who quickly advised me on the best design options for my space. After placing the order he was always a n hand to answer my questions and kept in touch with whilst I had the new kitchen fitted by my own installer. Couldn’t recommend higher enough.

Very poor customer service and design. I've ordered double waste pull out bin but due to poor design only one can fit in .Black matt door handles after short time of use loosing paint.
I have received one extra very expensive water mix tap.Door on dishwasher cracked due to heat and curently out of use !
Wilenhall office is not responding to my phone calls for months , usual answer " noone curently covers jonas james kitchen or someone will call you back" . I'm curently seaking legal advice before I start finance in few months !
