I will be forever grateful to Joyous.
I will be forever grateful to Joyous.
For over 20 years, I lived trapped in PTSD. Gun violence shaped my life in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time, setting off a long and painful spiral that affected my mental health, my physical health, and my ability to feel safe in the world.
Joyous changed that.
Through a full year of treatment and therapy with Joyous, I recognized myself again for the first time since I was 19. I learned that a life without constant fear actually exists. Today, I continue my care through the Spark program and have seen real improvements, including lower inflammation levels and better sleep scores.
What truly sets Joyous apart is the human care. I stay connected with the Joyous patient community and have met with the staff directly. Every interaction has been kind, supportive, and respectful. This is not a cold or impersonal experience. It feels safe, compassionate, and genuinely patient centered.
I never imagined I would live to be 40. I did live. And more than that, I found my voice, my community, and the freedom to exist without fear of violence running my life.
If you are struggling with long term PTSD or feel stuck in survival mode, please know there is another way to live. Joyous helped me find it.
It really works to help you deal

Terrible customer service and terrible…
Terrible customer service and terrible appointment platform. No human representative. The appointments never go through
Joyous saved my life
Joyous saved my life, and that's not an exaggeration. I've just had the most stressful 6 months of my life, and I'm so grateful to have found them when I did. Life just kept hitting me with one bomb after another, and if I gave you the details you probably wouldn't believe me.
I've struggled with depression and anxiety all my life. Add menopause and chronic pain and I was barely hanging on. Antidepressants, anxiety medication, mood stabilizers - doctors kept adding more pills but it wasn't helping much. I woke in a panic every morning and couldn't shake the feeling that something awful was about to happen. I was basically mentally paralyzed. I did a little research about ketamine therapy and figured I'd have nothing to lose.
Within the first week I was off the mood stabilizers and anxiety medication. The progress I made was leaps and bounds over any therapy or medication I'd tried up to that point. I'm 46, so I've tried just about everything to save my mental health over the years. NOTHING has come even close to the Joyous program!
I know some users have reported issues with billing and shipments. I did have one month where due to issues with scheduling a doctor's visit (you have to see one virtually so often due to law) and ran out of medication for a week. My mental state regressed, but at least I got an idea of just how well the medication was working. Going forward Joyous was extremely pro-active in making sure I didn't suffer the same situation again. They processed one of my refills early when it looked like it might happen again, and I didn't even ask. They've also shipped my medication when I didn't realize my payment had bounced two weeks prior.
I believe they use AI for some responses, because I get replies immediately and I don't think that's possible with humans. But ANY time I've reported an issue, whether it's personal and related to my mental health or with their program, a real person contacts me within no more than a few hours, usually 1-2. I've ALWAYS felt supported. They even reach out to congratulate me and say they're glad things are looking up when I give them a positive report.
The price for the service is very affordable, and I wasn't able to find anything comparative for less. $129 is less than I was paying out of pocket for all those medications that weren't helping, AND it includes provider visits. I don't have insurance, and I pay much more to go to a doctor. The care team is available 24/7, which is also more than I can say for my PCP.
Right now I'm struggling a bit financially, but my mental health is great! Normally I'd be wracked with anxiety being this broke, but I'm doing ok. I knew I was doing well when I answered the phone to tell my Auto loan why I was late and when I could pay. In the past that would have given me so much anxiety I would have ignored the call, which would have increased my anxiety overall, and then I'd have a panic attack every time the phone rang. I haven't felt this much "together" in years (possibly ever).
Since I'm doing ok mentally, and I'm broke, and it's Christmas, I've decided to pause my subscription. It wasn't difficult and I did it right through the website. I was able to select a date to resume service, and had to answer some questions about my mental health. It wasn't difficult or time consuming, and the option to cancel all together was right there as well if I decided.
The wonderful people at Joyous reached out to me to offer financial assistance. I love that they do that! I'm not going to use it, because I want to take this month to figure out my "maintenance" dose going forward. I still have some medication on hand, but certainly not enough to take my current dose while I'm paused. But I'm not feeling like I'm as fragile mentally and need that high dosage, but I also don't feel like I'd be ok without it completely. The interesting things about ketamine is that it rebuilds "bridges" in your brain, so unlike other antidepressants and anxiety medications, it IS possible to no longer need it. I don't think I'm there yet, but I'm ready to explore that possibility.
My only gripe with Joyous is their website. It's a bit outdated and can be difficult to navigate. I wish they had an app!
They do have a guided program you can go through, or you can do whatever helps you personally, which is nice. I found guided meditations on YouTube that I loved and were transcendent. Other users find peace in their own ways too. There isn't a one-size-fits-all band aid for mental health, so it's nice that Joyous gives you the freedom to figure out what works for you. Some prefer to listen to music, some like to meditate, some like to integrate it into their existing therapy. Joyous gives YOUR current therapist the option to link in and combine their therapy with yours.
The community is great too. It's nice to feel less alone with your struggles!
I like the texting communications
They contact you back via text which is a great way to reach someone when you don’t really want to talk. It’s convenient!
Don’t use this company
Don’t use this company. I had a terrible side effect. I’m a somatic and they should’ve known to tell me that I cannot use it because it create liquid in my length. I almost got into emergency room even though I told him that they keep on sending me messages to keep on taking their ketamine one hand doesn’t know from the other hand. The service is ridiculous. It’s automatically it’s not human being they tell you that they have a nurse practitioner, but there’s ridiculous answer to everything. It was my last chance to try to cure my post trauma and they keep on telling me that if it doesn’t help to go to do alternative medicine like acupuncture. Even though I told them that for the last 14 years, I used every other method and I don’t wanna advise they keep on giving me advice just to tell me in a way we cannot help you and I want to cancel it and I don’t want to give me the money back and they even offered me to keep on taking it when they know that I got so sick of it if you take ketamine go to a doctor don’t use this company
I was in a very low place when I…
I was in a very low place when I started with Joyous. I had previously tried many medications for my depression and anxiety but all of them had failed me one way or another. But with Joyous I felt immediate relief. I immediately began feeling more grounded to reality and have been able to sustain this unlike ever before. I learned so much from their online guidance which also made a really big difference. I would recommend this treatment especially for those like me who don't find relief in more traditional treatment.

Joyous has been really good with microdosing ketamine. I really enjoyed their product and how it helped me. I have been using for almost two years with counseling weekly. It has helped me during some really lows and high anxiety times. I can say my symptoms are better managed. Obviously, depression and anxiety is there but managed.
Do NOT use this company!
I have been a client for over a year with just a few issues BUT this month my medication ALWAYS arrives by the 5th!!!! I have been texting, emailing asking why tracking was started on the 2nd and as of today 8th it does.t even say IN TRANSiT!!!! It does now say expected arrival on the 11th!!!!! So II AM SUPPOSED TO GO 6 DAYS WITH OUT MEDICATION????? BUYER BEWARE! I didn't pay membership a week late! And just because this is not a blood pressure medication does NOT mean I can't have a stroke or heart attack from anxiety and depression! You even know I lost my job last week so I NEED my medication! All I het when contacting them is We have escalated your request.....really? Where are results? I even offered to pay 30.00 to overnight!
The team at Joyus was excellent
The team at Joyus was excellent. Everything was completely and quickly handled. My entire experience only has one drawback: there is only one way to contact the company.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I am a first time patient with Joyous and my first round of medication hasn't arrived – which would be OK, we can troubleshoot that - but Joyous has been near-impossible to work with. Here's why:
1. Joyous doesn't require signature upon delivery, which is insane for a medication. As a result, USPS said it was delivered but it never was (I was home, I checked). Joyous has done NOTHING to help with this. They refuse to work with USPS to resolve the issue and thus all of this work is falling to me, and it's actually a considerable amount of work.
2. Joyous employees don't even read your messages, they just sent you pre-packaged texts and emails resulting in you being unable to resolve your issue.
Example: Joyous wanted me to file a missing package claim to USPS AND file a police report of a stolen package. But it makes no sense to claim this package was stolen when I have witness proof that it wasn't delivered. USPS won't let you file a missing package claim until it's been 15 days since your package was "(not) delivered." Despite communicating this to thme multiple times, I get hounded daily by Joyous to do both of these things.
3. When I told them I wanted to pause my subscription and that I don't care about a replacement medication until my current issue is resolved, THEY SAID NO. And then again tried to push a replacement medication, despite me saying I didn't want one yet:
"Hi Laura, your subscription will have to remain active because we cannot send you a replacement while your subscription is paused. If you would like a replacement, you will have to keep your subscription active. If you are approved for a replacement, we can issue you credits for the time you have gone without medication."
This is absolute BS- you can't just steal peoples money with promises of what they WOULD get in the future. You need to give people the services you said you'd provide within the monthly timeframe, and so far they haven't done that.
Thieves.
I’d give it 5 stars if the lozenges…
I’d give it 5 stars if the lozenges don’t taste so bitter. But if you can get through that part, you’re in for a wonderful experience.
This helped me so much
The staff was responsive, friendly, and compassionate. The medicine helped me a lot, and I found it especially helpful when coupled with the mindfulness and meditation practices. This helped me address the root causes of my unhappiness and depression and I have noticed so much improvement. The relief I have at being able to break free of depression and anxiety after so long is indescribable.
Life-Changing Anxiety Relief with Truly Personalized Care
After a near-death experience left me with intense, debilitating anxiety, I tried everything: therapy, meditation (which I’ve practiced for years), supplements, but nothing moved the needle like Joyous’s low-dose ketamine protocol.
What sets them apart is the team's hands-on, responsive approach. Daily check-ins (quick, simple, never burdensome) helped them fine-tune my dose perfectly within the first couple of weeks. Ordering, shipping, and refills are seamless and fast; the troches always arrive well before I run out.
The results have been profound. My baseline anxiety has dropped dramatically, social situations that used to feel overwhelming are now manageable (often even enjoyable), and my long-time meditation practice has gone to an entirely deeper level; more insight, more calm, more presence than I thought possible.
If you’ve been stuck with treatment-resistant anxiety or depression and are open to a modern, evidence-based approach with genuine medical oversight, Joyous is the real deal.
This has been a great experience
This has been a great experience. I have felt supported and my one issue was resolved timely. All providers have been extremely professional. I pop on the feed here and there. It seems to have some negative themes but in general is a great way to connect to the community and people that are going through similar experiences.
Scam alert! Fraudulent conduct
Ordered the wax cubes you’re expected to keep in your cheek for 30-60 minutes. Decided to cancel the SAME DAY after much thought. This company had the audacity to tell me I would have to pay for the full three months to cancel the prescription. I told them about “the 3 day right of redemption act” which is a law designed to keep you from predators like this if you decide to change your mind within three days of any contracting the United States. They could not have cared less they continue to come at me even harder telling me I owe the money for a product I will not receive and do not want. Shocking and unethical conduct from this company!! Decided to contact a class action lawyer, just in case others have been scammed like me. I was never made aware of this policy and their intake process was as unprofessional as their actions!!!! Gross company.

So far everything’s been joyfullgood
So far everything’s been good. Medication arrives on time. N I’m slowly getting there.
I think they are using their own product
First time on joyous they prescribed me medicine and the 3 months later decided they didn’t want to prescribe anymore because I was in suboxone. Knowing full well my family doctor was all for the ketamine treatment and there are no contraindications. This time I had to suffer withdrawals of suboxone for two months just to get accepted. I paid the old balance and the new one and they are using watered down product and told me they will not ship my meds because my id expires soon. I’m an American citizen and a human. But a piece of plastic dictates whether my mental health deteriorates or worse. I stopped two psych meds for joyous and now have none. I see y my only brother put a shotgun under his chin. This world is run by idiots. Hey joyous maybe don’t get high in your own supply. I’ll not be returning ever
