No anti-vibration mats or follow up

I have had three internal units installed by JP Airconditioning and all seem to work. I have had them serviced annually since installation a few years ago. We initially had 2 units (running off one external condensing unit) and then added a third (requiring a second condenser). Being in the UK (and London) we no doubt paid a premium for a/c.

Installation first time was smooth (or so it seemed) and the second wasn’t quite as slick but it was done and the guys seemed decent enough. Last service (end of last year) flagged for the first time that anti-vibration mats haven’t been installed and should have been. Engineer told the company and I was told to expect a quote to remedy the situation. Followed up last week, as (1) it’s getting warmer so we might start using the units again, and (2) a pump to remove condensate seems to be having an electrical fault and vibrating noisily. Tried to turn the unit off, and seems there is no isolation switch installed!

Turns out that installers and follow up are not at all at the standard you’d expected for the not insignificant amount of money paid. In a growing market, if simply go elsewhere at this stage…
