Rough experience. We ordered a couch and it took months longer than they told us, and offered us very little in the way of communication or understanding. When it arrived, it was great but broke within two weeks. I (stupidly) paid for the extra protection and when I tried to use it, they completely ignored me until months later when I just received a denial email saying I should go through the manufacturer. Why did I buy the stupid protection plan?? I also emailed JR Furniture several times and then months later got an email saying "is this still a problem?" Like, yes! It is, and STILL is, but any solution would have taken a year so I just live with a broken couch. I'll never shop there again and honestly warn people against going there. Nice sales people, but just a terribly run company.

Promised my furniture in 6 weeks and I paid up front. I did not get the furniture delivered until 12 or 13 weeks, I can't remember which it was now. Damage on underside of double chair and the delivery person fixed it at delivery.

After having visited similar furniture shops around I finally found what I was looking for. I had a task of getting the best quality at an affordable price a Sleeper Sofa Couch with pull out bed for my mum’s buddy at a Care Home, who is bound to a wheelchair.
From Sales to Delivery I got the best service. Bob and Raj were most accommodating, patient and answered all my questions regarding this item. I was never pressured or rushed into this purchase.
The delivery was right on time at the Care Home. The two delivery gentlemen assembled, placed the sleeper couch where requested, demonstrated the pull out and cleared up all the packaging.
I am satisfied with the deal and service and wouldn’t hesitate to go back for any future purchase.

I bought furniture in sept. By January I still had not gotten it I was told every month it will be here the 10th of next month. Then I finally received it 10 months later. When it did come in the order was wrong. Don’t get me wrong I understand mistakes happen but this was beyond a mistake it was a comedy of errors so if you want furniture go some where else or cut down a tree mill the wood and build yourself you will have less headaches and have your furniture sooner

Went in March, paid outright for a large floor lamp and a recliner. The recliner came in a few weeks later. The lamp JUST came in - 3 months later - and it's BROKEN! I referred my mom there and she bought a sectional with recliners. Hers came in promptly at a few weeks later. So her service was good. Ours, not so much. Sure hope they are going to quickly remedy this broken lamp situation. . . .

Worst experience I've ever had when purchasing anything. Excuse after Excuse for why my furniture has not been delivered. Stephanie gave me an option to upgrade for $200. Finally Joe offered me a refund with a 15% cancelation fee. Have to pay because they can't fulfill the contract. Figure that? Poorest customer service ever. I wish there was a zero star rating. When it comes to J R Furniture I say run forest run away.

Update to this post: so they did give me a refund after 3 weeks but it was hard to do. Many phone calls and emails. They sent me one shipping label (I ordered two things) and only later told me what it was for; the communication remained really poor. but i did get the refund.
Don't shop here and read all the reviews which are all saying the same thing! This store has zero customer service so if anything goes wrong there is nothing you can do. No refunds although the website says they provide them. Because to get a refund you have to deliver a large heavy object to their warehouse in the country. Hours drive away. The idea they even have a customer service email is a joke because no one will ever respond other than with a canned response about how you can basically not get a refund even though the website says they offer easy returns.
Try go get a refund. What a joke.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS AWFUL PLACE!! They tell u “oh you should have in it 2 weeks. Which is A BALL FACED LIE!! And they will not refund you your almost 3 grand and u get to have zero furniture in your house, and they do not care.
DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN FOR THE PARKING LOT
We purchased one (1) love seat and two (2) recliners from you on or about November 12, 2020. (Tigard) This purchase is covered by your standard ‘warranty’ and in addition we purchased your 5 Year Furniture Protection Plan.
We noticed and notified JR that our product was defective and had our first (and to date, only) service call 4 days after delivery: Parts were ordered. (November 27th.)
Since that time we have had numerous contacts with JR regarding those and new defects in the products.
Finally, on Feb. 12th we got a message that the parts were available.
It took them until March 20 to schedule to install the new part.
We agreed on a date and time – and they failed to keep0 the appointment or even call to reschedule.
Here it is April 5th and the love seat is nearly inoperable. They have had the parts physically in hand (by their own claim) and we sit.
Their ‘service group’ is not “JR” but a subcontractor and they point the finger every which way and deliver zip.
Zero (0) would too high a rating for this company.

**DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE!!** We purchased two sofas in December and paid in full. We were told 6-8 weeks for delivery. We have never received any calls with updates. When the six weeks were up we called and were told two more weeks. When that two weeks passed we called again and were told one more week. We called when that week passed and were told another three weeks which would be the end of March. They told us they have been waiting for shipments from the manufacturer, Emerald Furniture, since November. Well why did they give us a 6-8 week time frame if they knew it was going to take longer? Just to make the sale. The manager, Frank, is a complete liar and kept giving us the run around. He said he could get our sofas from other locations which he didn't. He offered to give us a set that was in the store but belonged to someone else which would've pushed their delivery out. We obviously turned that down. He offered to lend us furniture until ours was delivered. We turned that down because of Rona. Hello! He is just full of it! Lies! Also note... the purchase is non refundable and he said under no circumstances can he refund us. Yet still no confirmed date of delivery. They do not care about you or how long you have to wait! **DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE!!**

Upon my arrival I was greeted at the door with positive vibes and eagerness to assist. With so many choices I had difficulty making a decision. But no worry because the patience everyone had with me simply unbelievable. Helpful conversations lead to a great purchase and many laughs. The prices OMG was a bonus. This will be a bit of a long one, but it’s worth the read if you are planning to drop a bunch of money at JR Furniture on TV hwy in Hillsboro, OR.
Dropping (or throwing away) money is exactly what you’ll be doing. And along with that, you might as well throw in your time.
We made a simple purchase of a table and a sectional sofa on November 1st. Paid in full, didn’t even finance the furniture. Our table came in right away, but our sofa, we were told would come in at the end of November “at the latest.” Today is December 18th, and for the last four weeks we have been told “it’ll be on the next shipment.” (From the warehouse in WA. One week we were even told “it’s still on a shipping container with no arrival date.”
After being pushed out for weeks after moving into our new home, our frustrations naturally grew. Jamal, the store manager has not bothered to speak to us once, and every time we have called to figure out where our sofa is (or is not) he isn’t even at the store. I’ve been told “oh he’s not here today” every time I’ve called to sort this out. And trust me, that’s been MANY times. For weeks we have been without a sofa to sit on in our new home, since we had planned on this one arriving DAYS after our closing date..
Now, after purchasing this sofa a month and a half ago, we were told last week “Jamal says he 100% guarantees it will show up next week, without a doubt.” Only to be told that it didn’t show up, yet again.
Now, we could be offered the floor model for “a discounted price” (not specified).
So I said the only way we’ll take the floor model is if it’s in perfect condition and if you give it to us for 50% off after all the weeks that we’ve been waiting for our sofa to arrive only to be told a different story every week that it hasn’t showed up. But Jamal “can’t do that.” And will “cancel the order TOMORROW” because he’s never in the store to do anything the day a customer needs it.
The positive note to all of this haze been Erin, a floor manager, who has been as helpful as she can in trying to help me figure all of this out.
After waiting (while a newly pregnant woman) for almost two months to get this sofa we are now cancelling our order with JR because the sofa is still not at the store and Jamal refuses to give us the discount of 50% (and save himself this review), which I feel we deserve after being so patient with this situation. Unfortunately, the conclusion is that we should have cancelled a long time ago or gone to a better store in the first place.

Do not shop here. People are not wearing masks and or practicing social distance. A worker by the front door just sneezing away without a mask like COVID is not a thing.
