Do not buy from them

Do not buy from them, our furniture less than a year old is falling apart, we bought an extended warranty and they are ignoring us, telling us its not included, the sales person told us it covered everything! And now when the fabric is peeling and we have been trying to get them for about a year to fix it, all they have is excuses. Tacoma store.

Worst customer service

I have bought 2 sofas here and my recent purchase experience was horrible. The sofa did not turn out to be good after waiting for 7 weeks and the delivery team refused to take off shoes nor came prepared with shoe cover or any floor cover. They walked all over my carpet in living room with their outdoor shoes and refused to listen inspite of my asking them several times. Instead they argued that this is their company rules. I am surprised that the company rule is to disregard customer‘s requests.
I called the store and the person who answered was also rude and told me that they should have left the furniture outside the house? Never had such a poor customer experience in anything I have bought so far in any store. JR customer service sucks!

Worst company to work with

Worst company to work with. These people have poor costumer service, poor quality items. Oh, please read their no cancellation policy hidden on their website. They don’t display it anywhere. If you do cancel within 3 days, they charge you 20 percent, even if you try to cancel before any processing has occurred.

They Lie to Get Your Money

Trust us. AVOID JR Furniture. They convinced us to buy a bar (imagine everything you hate about going into a sleezy, commission-based furniture store) by giving us incorrect measuring information. When it arrived, the delivery men barely tried to get it in the door and claimed they couldn’t do it. When I explained that the salesman said it would fit, they literally laughed and said, “Of course he did. They’re not the ones that have to deliver it.” They wanted to leave it outside. We instead refused delivery. They were not happy and made it an extremely uncomfortable experience. It took multiple calls over a month to get someone to call us back. When they eventually answered, they blamed us and said there were no refunds. After another month, they agreed to give us a partial refund. They walked away with $1000 and we got two months of hell and an empty room. They are disgusting. Save yourself the trouble.

Mark is the best

Mark is the best! We came in to the JR Furniture on a Saturday looking for a couch and we were greeted right away. He worked with my husband and I and was very patient with me when I kept being indecisive with what I wanted. Then…. when we found out that we might not get our couch in time for the new house for when family was going to all come over – Mark totally pulled some strings and boom… our couch arrived in 1-1/2 weeks. Thank you Mark for calling the actual owner of the manufacturer and pulling your favor card! And the couch is wonderful – my best couch yet. It is sturdy, comfortable and it is very obvious that the material is NOT the cheap kind.

I walked in went to the back I seen a blue couch I wanted so I get to the counter and proceeded to sign paperwork so I finished that and got my furniture delivered the delivery driver trying to ask for my number very unprofessional so couple weeks ago bye there were two payments missing off my visa card I called j.r furniture their telling me the loan company took it off wait what loan company I was not informed about to payment would be off my card every month I got scammed and there is poor communication because I should of none this before the lady had me to sign paperwork

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. My family members went to JR furniture to get a good quality couch at a reasonable price. The price was reasonable, but you definitely get what you pay for. Within the first MONTH, the cushions and padding went COMPLETELY flat. The last couch we had lasted for over 12 years, but we got it at a different furniture store. Thought we would give JR Furniture a chance. The couch was purchased in July 2022 and the cushions and padding wore out by August 2022. We emailed and called the store several times for someone to come out and look at the couch. Was only able to get in contact with one person the entire time and they said they will pass the message on to their tech. After several failed attempts and 6 months later, a tech still has not come. If this does not SCREAM horrible and distasteful customer service, I don't know what does. If I were you, I would run the other way and find a furniture store that cares to help their customers when they are in need of help instead of ignoring them and looking the other way.

The sales team at JR furniture went above and beyond to accomadate my shopping experience, Im handicap and use a scooter to get around, they took the time to make sure my purchase was what i was looking for, they listen to your needs and then make suggestions for you to look at,

Happy customer

I had been shopping for a sofa and was very apprehensive about JR Furniture Tacoma because of negative reviews I had read about poor service in the store, delivery delays, quality issues, follow up difficulties. I found the exact sofa I had been looking for at JR but still wasn’t sure if I should purchase. I must say all my concerns and worries were misplaced because everything went better than expected. The salesman, Greg, was helpful, kind, reassuring. The sofa arrived for pickup earlier than stated, pickup was quick and easy, the quality is very high. I am very happy with the experience and will be happy to give them my business in the future.

terrible customer service

ordered a recliner was told 4-10 weeks which is ridiculous but i said ok then 10 weeks later i had to call them to find out where my chair was and they called me back and told me it was gonna be another 8-10 weeks and then wouldn’t refund my money and said i had to have a store credit. terrible customer service i highly recommend u go somewhere else

Actually purchased a leather couch…

Actually purchased a leather couch set over two years ago. The couch is very comfortable and is still in excellent shape. The sales person found out what we were looking for and helped us find just the right furniture. Delivery went well also.

Please don’t go to this furniture shop.

Please don’t go to this furniture shop.
They don’t care about customer service, they only care about selling their product and getting your money.
I bought almost 20000$ worth stuff for my new house in March,2021 and I am still waiting for my stuff to be delivered. Also since then whenever you call they say 2-4 weeks more, which are never ending.
I would not recommend them at all and they have forced me to take legal action.

Thank you JR Furniture!!!

After visiting three other stores and an attempt at online shopping, my Mom and I went into JR Furniture on Grandview as a last attempt to get a new sofa before giving up. What a great decision it was! The store had a wide selection of products to choose from for just about every style! Bob said, Hello and welcomed us to the store.

We found the perfect sofa at the perfect price—similar pieces were going for two grand or more!

Bob was si helpful abd made the purchase smooth and explained the delivery/set-up options. We chose both as we didn’t want to haul the sofa ourselves or deal with the packaging.

Delivery went smooth and the sofa looks fantastic! So happy!

Thank you Bob for your assistance, professionalism and courtesy. Thank you delivery and dispatch staff!

Furniture was not what we ordered at all

Furniture was not what we ordered. Took forever to get. Went to see what we could do to get it rectified and got nada, no help at all. You pay for something to be made a certain way, they should do that. They didn't at all. Picked material that would repel stains and water, nope... Didn't get it. Specifically picked a couch due to comfort level (the one in store was sooo squishy and comfy!) and got a rock hard, 2 toned set. The cushions don't even match people!

Don't do it man... Go anywhere else.

Sales person was fantastic however when…

Sales person was fantastic however when we got the couch home the bottom of the couch was not drilled for the legs that came with the couch. My husband had to make another trip to the store and was unable to resolve the issue. He had to drill the holes himself. Extra work and time which was frustrating given the I had just spend $2,500.

I would've given a five star review if…

I would've given a five star review if I would have been compensated for the damage to the bed when it arrived. It was a small brake in the bedrail, however when you're paying a decent amount of money, there should not be damage. They offered to send a replacement rail, but we would have had to take the whole bed apart. They also offered to have someone come "repair" it, however it was damage to the wood so a repair would've still been noticeable and dealing with someone in my home to repair it and toxic glue are not ideal during Covid with someone in the home with a compromised respiratory system. Both options would be inconvenient. I asked to be monetarily compensated for the damage, $25-$50 would have been fine, however my request was ignored.
My salesperson was nice and I like the bed, just disappointed they weren't willing to work with a return customer to ensure I was satisfied.
