The ESI Electronic Digital Room Stat is an excellent value for money, easy to use and install thermostat shown to reduce your heating bills by 10% or more when compared to traditional versions. It boasts a large and clear adjustable dial as well as a LCD display which shows the current room temperature.As you turn the dial to increase the temperature, a small flame symbol will appear on the LCD display to tell you that the heating has been turned on.

I got this particular thermostat because it has a simple manual dial setpoint. The one it replaces was a bit too complicated for the ladies of the house to use. One downside to it is that the setpoint changes in 1°C steps I would prefer 1/2°C. It has an optional inbuilt software function that refines the control from simple on-off to a proportional-integral function that should give a better more efficient control of the room temperature. Too early for me to assess this function.
