My wife and I were actually prepared to spend more money on a spin bike yet, although more expensive models boasted all sorts of gizmos and features, they all lacked something that was a must-have for us – a big, heavy flywheel for a proper spinning workout. The Cyclo Studio certainly has that, mated to an infinitely adjustable dial that seamlessly raises or lowers resistance.
It's a good-looking, professional-quality machine with a reassuring heft that gives the impression it'll really last. It's rock-solid secure and impressively quiet in operation, and with a seat and handlebars that adjust for height as well as fore-and-aft it's easy to get an ideal riding position. It does have a computer of sorts – but it's very basic and almost impossible to see in anything other than bright light. That said, its read-outs of calories used and heart rate tally very closely with those on my Garmin watch, so it does give a reliable guide. The bike comes with a good-quality tablet holder and is compatible with several apps that will pep up your workout.
In summary, a professional-standard spin bike with great build quality – we're delighted with it.
