Summary of Issue
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the meal delivered to me recently. The condition in which the meal arrived was wholly unacceptable. I have used your delivery services on numerous occasions without issue, but this particular experience was markedly different.
Details of the Delivery
Last night's delivery was not fit for consumption; none of the items were intact. All containers had been broken and their contents mixed up inside the plastic carrier bag. The meal appeared to have been squashed into the delivery bag, causing the food to spill and mix together during its short journey. It seems likely that the rider was carrying more than one order, which resulted in our meal being over-packed and subsequently damaged.

I have attached photographs which accurately depict the state in which the meal was delivered.
Actions and Expectations
I would like to make it clear that I am not seeking a free meal. My concern is with the quality and handling of the delivery. to review the delivery process from the Golden Currey restaurant and possibly consult local food standards authorities.
It is evident that the meal was likely prepared to a high standard at the restaurant, but it was ruined during the delivery process.
Request for Response
I ask that you review your statement regarding this incident and provide advice on how the situation will be addressed.

You make an order and immediately realise that there is something wrong and it needs to be cancelled, you write to the chat in the next 5 seconds, where they tell you to call the restaurant for them to not make the order, and they link you the restaurant's number. You call and tell them to not make the order, which they confirm.
A week later JE finally tells you you can't be reimbursed because the restaurant was not informed and made the order...and that is because JE PROVIDED YOU WITH THE WRONG NUMBER IN THE CHAT.
They will, of course, not assume their mistake.
Order directly from restaurants anyway, on top of charging you heavy for the service, they take around 50% of the bill from the restaurant, therefore thefood is more expensive through them.

I wish I could give 0 stars. No recomensation for food not delivered over 50 euro. Awful service.

Just had a three (3) days ordeal with JustEat advisors to get back my refund of £13.17 (ordered on 16/09/2025) - Advisors -AREFA and RAMON who wrote emails to me, covered for their fellow lying colleague (the lying driver) who DID NOT deliver my order to my home nor ring my door bell as I live on the second floor….Therefore, No code was given by me to any driver (as this code is supposed to be a protection for customers) so my order was randomly given/taken by ???…the mystery of my order lies with the lying bad driver ‼️ Disgusting service and equally disgusting advisors covering for this company - JUST EAT. It should be renamed - JUST CHEAT ‼️

After ordering the food I kept waiting for an hour after which the restaurant marked the order as delivered.
After calling them they convinced me that I just need to wait more.
Kept waiting for another hour without anyone showing up whatsoever.
No replies to my sms either…

And after notifying Just Eat about this, they immediately refuse to provide any refunds.
They have basically 0 responsibility and restaurants can do whatever they want.

They basically stole 75€ without any consequences.
Absolutely awful and disgusting…

I was delivered food over 2 hours late ,refused to except the delivery, it was cold and I had already made alternative food arrangements. The restaurant pleaded with me to except the order as they would be charged for the return, they promised that I would not be charged, the delivery went straight in the bin, Just eat then charged me on the basis that the order had been delivered £38 charged for food that I no longer wanted and was binned. What a con, they are thieves and I have not and will not ever use Just eat again, there customer service STINKS

Driver didn’t deliver our order. My wife was communicating with him on the chat function. His last message to her was I’m leaving your order here, take it or leave it, he then deleted the chat. I went directly to the restaurant to ask for the drivers details they stated just eat sends in the driver to collect the order and they have no details. Just eat are refusing to refund as they say that they can see the order was delivered.!! I asked for photographic proof - none forthcoming. Absolute crooks..!! It’s absolutely disgusting service. I’m so angry.

ordered food, never arrived, refused to refund some £50. said it was delivered, asked for photo and if code was given and refused to provide it, have reported to bank fraud team. this cant go on, just eat and there group of thieves needs to stop. The law says if I didn't receive goods paid for then I'm entitled to a full refund. otherwise its theft, and that is what is happening here, you are croocks. and i wont let it rest, you will be exposed and your company will collapse over time and you will deserve it.

There are so many things on so many levels wrong with this company both internally and out front that I am utterly dumbfounded how it is made possible for them to operate here in Spain. Time will tell how absolutely flawed this concept is. People do need to realize how hard they work for their money and forget about throwing it at less than mediocre and/or frankly rip-off "services."

Read this before you order groceries on line with just eat. ! Warning must read let me tell you about my experiences with just eat. I use them regular for takeaways but this year groceries because have no car till my new one is built delivered so when you use just eat the prices are higher for items so you get free delivery over £15. Which is fair. But I have had deliverys groceries missing a good few times and I think on few times ie like baccy in plastic see through bags from retailer it is possible that the one or two bad driver could see inside and the bags are packed to top so items can fall out and not sealed at top so goods could fall out as well my latest order I had goods shopping items missing and they said JUST EAT said on this occasion they carant refund me for missing items so not only did I pay higher prices on goods for the free delivery £15 or over I spent 56 and had 5 bags full I carant have a refund on items missing if you use deliveroo the bags are better and most are sealed so the process is better don’t use just eat unless you just get one or two items and you can see at door that is my way of thinking the bags are full to top not sealed and some retailers use clearish bags so items can be seen inside as well make you mind up every one just eat said no refund on my items that were missing spuds ceral bars vine tomotoes pasta sauce and other things so if I was you I’d use deliveroo because there process is safer better my way of thinking and just eat let me down on no refund on missing items I ordered I from then

What went wrong, didn't arrive, how can they improve shut down!! they just don't want to know when it goes wrong

Customer service is the nature of business of Just Eat, yet it is so bad that calling it as unprofessional is not enough. Once you receive an incomplete food order, it all goes downhill. While the restaurant admits they made a mistake, yet Just Eat would not credit for it despite multiple counts of contacting them and their promise to issue a credit. One does not feel like placing another order through them anymore…
Also, in order to use a specific delivery address, one always has to fiddle at the time of order. Not very user friendly.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered from McDonalds only to receive part of my order missing. Put in a claim through the Just Eat app but they rejected it based on "looking at my account". I only ever use them for McDonalds and have put in complaints previously due to cold food. You pay for their service, you pay extra for the service charge, and you pay extra for the delivery charge, so you expect to receive what you have paid for, including the food being hot. It was their choice to credit my Just Eat account for my comment regarding the food, which I can only use if I reorder anyway. Now I have not received what I have paid for, they have decided to not provide me with a "good will gesture" as they put it, based on the above. Good will gestures are not what a company should offer when a customer is missing items from an order. If a customer does not receive their order or part of their order, they are legally entitled to a refund, not compensation. After various waste of time robotic e-mails as no matter what I said they didn’t seem to get the point or care for that matter, and there was no decent human to talk to either, I have now given up trying to get my money back. So they basically stole my money for the missing food. £10 is a lot to me when I was trying to treat my children, so I hope they find something nice to spend it on and are happy with stealing customers money. I don’t normally leave reviews, but they have pushed me into leaving this as I am totally disgusted by their attitude over this and total lack of customer service. From reading other reviews, I know I’m not the first this has happened to and unfortunately, I know I won’t be the last. They’re ok until something goes wrong, which is not how a company should operate. I won’t be using them again after this, so if you are reading my review, please think twice before you order from them too or you could end up with the same stress they have caused me.

I cancelled an order and received notification of cancellation. The Food was delivered hours later ( left outside my door, didn't ring ) and now I've been charged. No way of contacting them..... Do I just wait for a refund ?? Bad service I think.

My order was stolen by delivery driver, had to order another which was delivered fine, just eat do not vet their drivers so anyone can steal your food, even had one driver stop for ages and help his self to our food, as you could see on map but the vendor said they are not responsible for the delivery, so because of that I won’t be using just eat again and I have been a member for a long while.
