Just Tyres - Cambridge Reviews 

We've used just tyres services before in some other cities with good experiences but this time in Cambridge was terrible.
We had an appointment to fit 2 new tyres in our car at 1:30 on Saturday the 3rd of December. We got there on time and the person who was going to fit them told us to go for a walk for 20 minutes so the tyres would be ready when we come back, so we did. Just before leaving, appeared a taxi that needed the tyres changed. When we came back, he had just finished changing the taxi tyres and didn't even started working on our car. He said excuses like "oh! I didn't know which tyres you wanted, but I've just discovered what you had ordered". We stayed there watching how he was changing our tyres, as he didn't do it when he said he would and I've noticed that he wasn't putting very much attention on the job, trying to avoid extra effort if it was necessary and acting very lazy. Eight days later, with the country covered in snow and ice, we notice that the front wheel was making a weird noise and the car was feeling out of control so we stopped and check and the front left tyre was loose, one of the nuts even dropped in my hand when checking. We are fortunate that we noticed quickly and at a low speed in the city, if that would have happened in the motorway we could have died in a car accident caused by the stupid laziness of a worker that didn't want to do his job properly. What is even more annoying is that he claimed to be the manager of the place. If that's how behaves the manager of a business, a don't want to imagine how it would be if we were attended by any other worker who is supposed to be less responsible.

Changing tyres made easy. I arrived on my appointment time and was out in less than an hour.

Very easy to order, team did not seem concerned when I turned up early for my appointment. All pre-paid over the internet. Very happy with the result. Very easy to use. Staff were all very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

On Tuesday this week, I had a slow puncture so visited this place. The 2 people there - Michael and Rob - told me they couldnt repair the puncture. Also my 2 front tyres were needing replacing soon - so they advised me to fit 4 new Cooper tyres which according to them are premium tyres at a cost of 125 pound per tyre. I duly paid them 500 pounds.
By the end of the day, 1 of the tyres had already lost pressure and was flagging low pressure - but they had shut. So I drove the 120 miles home stopping 3 times to top up the pressure in said tyre.
The next morning the tyre was totally flat with 6 PSI in it. I decided to take the car to my trusted tyre place - Roadwheel in Fleet. Upon examination they had to refit all 4 tyres. Basically Just Tyres in cambridge had not cleaned corrosion from the rims, they hadnt tightened the valves, they hadn't put rim sealant on both the rim and the tyres and to make matters worse they had left the barcode labels on the tyre rims hence leading to not only 1 tyre to lose pressure but all 4. Roadwheel told me this is common practice for cowboy tyre places to get you to go back and to charge you more. They also found a pin hole fault in the tyre that had gone totally flat. I believe that is likely to have been a sabotaged tyre. Needless to say I had to buy 2 new tyres from Roadwheel at a cost of 70 per wheel. Roadwheel also told that I had been massively over charged for the Cooper tyres and that they are budget tyres and not premium tyres.

I will never use or trust Just Tyres again. What should have cost me 360 pounds has now cost me over 700. I recommend you all stay away from this company and hope they go out of business. Shocking shocking cowboys.

I did what the person who replied said on Monday. And there has not even been an acknowledgement of my email from Customer services. Don't believe this reply that they will do something about these reviews because they dont. They are shocking.

My only advice is for everyone to avoid them.

The good: Good prices. Clean and tidy shop. Friendly staff. The downsides: They got my booking time wrong (My email for my booking said 15:00, but when I arrived I was told it was booked for 15:30, so small mix-up and a bit of wasting of my time to wait longer). The next day I got a low tire pressure alert and the tires were at 27 and 34PSI instead of closer to 50PSI which they should be at. It seems they were not properly inflated or something. I had to pull over at a petrol station and put some money into the air pump machine while I was on my way to an appointment 60 miles away, part-way through the drive which was a bit of a panic inducing moment. So lose a star for these irritants, otherwise thumbs up.

Great service - called me as soon as they had my tyres and arranged fitting 2 days sooner than I had booked - excellent value and service - will definitely use them again

Just such a great service from the guys Michael and Rob, recommend recommend recommend!!!! They helped me with the wheel alignment too! Top work boys, I will be a repeat customer!

Price on the tyres I wanted was by far the best around ordered easily and booked my appointment online. Called me to let me know they had been delivered and offered an earlier appointment if needed. The chap fitted them to my new alloys and took extra care to make sure everything was good with the new wheel set. All 4 done in just over an hour. Really impressed with the service received at the Cambridge branch.

Very accommodating. I forgot about the locking wheel-nut key and had to return home to find it. I phoned when I had found it and they fitted me in and turned the job around rapidly. No problem with tyres or fitting and all was dealt with efficiently.
