Looking forward to the results!
I first enquired about my hair transplant in December and had the procedure at the end of February. From the very start, Nick has been amazing—always quick to respond to my messages and happy to answer any questions I had along the way.
On the day of the procedure, Dr. Jamie Harrison and his team were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The whole experience was professional and reassuring, and I felt I was in great hands throughout.
Now, I’m just looking forward to seeing the results! If you’re considering a hair transplant, I’d highly recommend this team.
Poor aftercare, communication and follow up
Poor aftercare and follow up after hair transplant lets this clinic down. The day of transplant was excellent, however I wasn't happy with the results.
An area between my hair transplant to my hairline was left too big (always visible since my transplant). Even 4 years after, Juvida offered a free top up surgery because the issue was obvious to see. But continue to deny it via email that there was an issue.
Poor communication on the arrangements for the free transplant, led me to seek and pay for a hair transplant elsewhere. This hospital then pointing out the areas from Juvida which were poorly executed.
So at first, Juvida was great. However the follow up and ensuring the customer is happy is where it falls down. Poor communication is the other issue. I'll post the photos shortly.
Firstly I will say once there the staff…
Firstly I will say once there the staff are great and the doctor who did my top up and main transplant is top notch and if they had dealt with myissue (there issue) then this would be a 5 star review even with the problem as I understand things can happen but it is how you react to them.
I was in for a top up for my hair transplant on the 13th November, it was getting near my top up date and I had heard nothing at all which I found strange so I rang them on the 16th October. I was told that they were going to ring me that day as they could now not do that day as the patient who was having their transplant was not having it done that day.
I was Told they could do the 28th november or maybe the 6th and would let me know. I had to chase this again and I rang and was ‘on the list to call today list’ (once again) so left it as that and again…No call
I again chased about a week later rang on a Friday at 3pm to be told a manager would be calling me me Saturday.
Saturday - text message not a call and they could not do do the 6th but could the 28th November.
I have asked for £200 to cover my petrol and the inconvenience as I was offered a treatment that is that amount as a goodwill. Now I have had to chase this twice and gave them a month to sort this with no such luck hence my review today as I feel enough time has passed. I was offered a RPR treatment which is £200 but I live 7.5 hours away so being reasonable I asked for the £200 via a bank transfer.
When you consider I had my top up 2 weeks later than expected I have had to spend Xmas/New Years Eve indoors and also I lost about £1500 from work as could not cover the days that had moved with the date change (I am self employed) so the £200 money value I felt was more than fair on my part.
I understand things happen, but my issue was the chasing up of the £200, after THEY offered me a PRP treatment as a sorry for moving the date which has changed all my plans around the holiday time and lost me work.
Got to remember the top up is inconvient, especially when self employed and move clients around and then the date gets moved and stuck in on Xmas and now New Year’s Eve.
Still giving a 3 star as I do rate the work they do, I just feel they should be acting like a 5 start company for the work they do and money they charge.
I would still recommend the company on the whole but communication could be improved on the whole.
first PRP treatment
Went for my first PRP treatment today and honestly could not have been made to feel more welcome and put at ease.
From the moment of been greeted at the door to throughout the procedure the staff were friendly and talk me through the full process.
The process was simple and Ellie made sure I was comfortable and happy with each step of the process.
I hope the results are as good as the service.
Trauma.... Can't stand how I look anymore.
Had a hair transplant and then a top up transplant a year later and honestly I can't stand how I look anymore. My hairline looks so unnatural. The hairline is so false and the hairs were implanted sticking upwards and there's a clear gap between my actual hairline and the transplanted hair. The top up is supposed to rectify this but I don't think it will. I should never have got a hair transplant. I was fairly confident when I was bald. Now I'm riddled with anxiety and depression over my hair. The team were lovely and I have nothing against how the service was delivered but I dunno why they they didn't take more care when you're paying £5500 for something that could make or break your life. My first transplant felt very rushed as they had someone in for a top up at 2pm. That annoyed me because I was under the impression is was a one transplant a day policy. But I didn't say anything at the time. Im going to have to save up money for a third transplant somewhere else in the UK to rectify this. Also paying for PRP with a clinic atm. I would say... None of this is worth the potential trauma of looking absolutely awful and worse than just being bald. As a guy it feels so stupid to be upset about this but I can't cope anymore and don't want to leave the house or socialise because I see people staring at my unnatural hairline. Don't do it.

I’ve just seen H from Steps on the TV and had to research where he had his transplant done! I thought he’d been to Turkey as his hairline is so unnatural. Not a good advert for the company and then to read the negative reviews just confirms I’m not alone in thinking this isn’t a good place. I had my procedure done at the Wimpole Clinic in Harley St and their results just speak for themselves. Why are there no patient pics on the site here? I wonder?!!
Avoid!!
In January 2022, I underwent a hair transplant procedure and also received sessions of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment. After a year, I noticed that my newly transplanted hair appeared thin and patchy, with a visible line between my old hairline and the new one. In March 2023, I received a complimentary top-up transplant to address these issues. However, as of August 2024, my hair condition has worsened compared to before the initial transplant. I now rely on hair fibers daily to conceal the gaps in my hair. The clinic said it’s because I am further receding, despite initially assuring me that additional grafts or areas like my crown were unnecessary, they do this so you’ll keep going back and paying for transplants. It has been suggested by other hair transplant experts that not enough grafts were extracted and the hair was implanted incorrectly, resulting in a hairline that sticks up even after two years. I would avoid juvida at ALL costs. I am now seeking a corrective third transplant to rectify Juvida's mistakes. They also brag on about their dense hair products, which are awful. When contacting them about this, they advise I buy more of their products and wait 6 months and book in for a check up. They have honestly ruined my hair and my confidence and I would avoid them at all costs!!!!
Looking forward to my next appointment! ✰
Rather squeamish about anything remotely medical, it's fair to say I was pretty nervous before my first PRP appointment. In hindsight, any nerves were absolutely unnecessary! Ellie, the PRP nurse, was both extremely kind and outrageously proficient at her job. The PRP injections themselves were essentially painless as the local anaesthetic takes effect rather promptly. Before you know it, the procedure is done and you can't believe it: was that *it*?
Having just returned from my fourth PRP treatment, I must say that I look forward to and enjoy the experience each time. Juvida is a highly professional yet personal and friendly clinic, paying great attention to the little touches that make all the difference. If you are from out of town, its location makes for a stunning drive through the Yorkshire countryside, and the clinic itself feels immaculately clean and ultra-modern. As soon as you enter, you feel comfortable and know you are in safe hands.
Aside from PRP, I have had a separate hair consultation with Nick. He answered any and all hair-related queries with great assiduity, gladly sharing his wealth of knowledge and recommending a suitable course of action. Unlike other clinics, Juvida makes a point of not over-prescribing: if you don't need a 3000-graft transplant to see results, then they won't let you waste your money on doing it. It's as simple as that. No wonder they have been named the GHP's (UK-wide) Most Trusted Hair Transplant Clinic for three years in a row.
If you're hesitating about making the first step in treating your hair loss, then hesitate no more. Get started today and give Juvida a call!
Lack of aftercare
Lack of aftercare. Promise you regular contact but get nothing. The transplant is done by technicians not a doctor. Avoid at all costs
Excellent experience from start to finish
After doing years of research during covid on hair transplants and where best to get one done, I finally chose Juvida. From the initial consultation with Kieran to turning up on the day of surgery to meet Dr Jamie and his team of technicians, I was made to feel everything revolved around me and my needs. No hard sell, always at the end of the phone for questions; and made to feel very welcome by all staff on the day.
One thing I did learn as part of the experience: don’t get caught up with the clinics trying to push or persuade you they can offer you 5000 grafts (Turkey companies are renowned for this). In reality this would never be the case. It’s all about the quality. 2000 grafts can give you 4000 quality hair follicles. It’s all about follicle quality, not graft quantity, and this is something Juvida is open and transparent about.
My procedure lasted about 9 hours following a session with Dr Jamie working through hairline placement and design, but time went quickly. No pain (but the initial anaesthetic injections nip for a few seconds) plenty of good music, chatting with the team whilst they’re extracting and counting the follicles, the odd nap, a few Netflix films during the implant process; and more napping.
The following day all I experienced was a bit of swelling in my forehead but no pain. Follow the instructions you’re given post surgery and all will be fine.
I’m looking forward to seeing the full results.
Would highly recommend Juvida. It’s not worth taking the risk flying to Turkey when you have the expertise, full support; and warranty from a reputable UK company.
So I don’t normally write reviews and…
So I don’t normally write reviews and it takes a lot for me to do so, especially a good one, I have now had a few procedures and lots of communication with Juvida. I was struggling with my hair actually more then I even realised, it was receding badly or had. I’d researched for ages and tbh I was going to go to turkey, but I looked into Juvida more, texted via WhatsApp then phone calls, they answered all of my questions scientifically, I’d had previous hair transplant interviews/conversations and this just felt so different, they were telling me things I actually already knew through research but it was so enlightening to hear more scientific facts that I wasn’t aware of. I bit the bullet and if like me, your worried about travelling up to skipton, don’t be, I travelled from the very south of the country, the train journey was easy and effortless and they are about a 15/20 minute walk from the train station. They always make you feel at ease and nothing was too difficult for them, even to the point where they got me a few extras for my lunch! They explain everything to you before starting it and I watched tv for some of the transplant which was great. It doesn’t actually hurt at all during the procedure, due to anaesthesia (the one where your awake!) when the anaesthetic wears off, you do feel groggy and very sore and you can’t be too careful with aftercare, believe me! They explain aftercare to you, provide you with all the medicine and ointment you need to make a full recovery and also a sheet incase you forget! I was staying across the road from the place but they still offered to give me a lift, which I did politely decline as I thought It would be lazy of me! But it just goes to show they think of everything and cover everything and make sure that the client is always at ease and ok. I’ve since had PRP with Mo and the first session, I didn’t know what to expect, again, he explained and you can immediately tell that he knows exactly what he’s doing and is professional. I’ve been a few times now, they do PRP in London so there’s no travelling to skipton, again very accommodating from Juvida and another example of them going the extra mile. If I’m honest, I’m absolutely shocked at the following although might not be the same for everyone; at around 3 months I had covered the receding patches and my hair looked normal, although still very short, then I’m writing this at about 5 months and my hair is phenomenal, it’s actually at the point which I never thought I’d achieve or get too, I’m so happy, but there’s a chance that it might grow even longer, so I’m now at a stage where anymore growth is an absolute bonus, I mean it this carries on, in 12 months god knows what growth I would of achieved!? All in all, couldn’t recommend Juvida enough, I would genuinely recommend them to anyone.

The team genuinely care about your treatment and the attention to detail is second to none. I’m so happy I decided to make the choice and so far the results are brilliant. I can’t wait for the future ahead and this is one of the best decisions I’ve made having my treatment with juvida
I had been curious about hair…
I had been curious about hair transplants for a couple of years as my crown was thinning, but not knowing anybody personally that had had one and the nightmare stories you see on tv ect I had never actually thought I would bite the bullet and get one.
But in October 2020 I stumbled on a advertisement for Juvida offering a free consultation, when I found out their clinic was only 15 miles away from me I decided to book in to see what it was all about.
I was filled with confidence after the initial consultation with Jamie who explained the various options to me offering his advice to what could be the best result for me and certain after care moving forward after the transplant.
I decided to book in and had the transplant in January 2021 and all I can say is if you’re thinking about getting it done do it!
After 6 and a half months if you didn’t know I’d had the transplant you wouldn’t be able to tell. I also had the prp treatment which really brought the growth on and made my existing hair look and feel fuller and stronger.
All in all a 5 star experience with 5 star results.
I researched hair transplants for years…
I researched hair transplants for years before I finally decided on Juvida. I can be quite an anxious person particularly with anything operation related. The staff made me feel at ease and made it a relaxed environment. I am really happy with my hairline and can’t wait to see the results. The aftercare so far has been really good with the team sending me a YouTube clip every few days telling me what I need to do next. If you are considering a transplant then look no further. Dean

I had my hair line done in April 2021 and it’s almost been 6 weeks now and my results are amazing. I have only had very little shedding so far (fingers crossed) and everyone has already started commenting on my hair growth especially how good the hair line is. I am a doctor myself and I was super impressed with all the Juvida team. All were very professional and experienced. My doctor took his time to explain the procedure, went through the pre-checks in detail and was explained everything in detail as we went. I was looked after very well through out and was also given a very nice accommodation for a couple to nights as I had travelled form Scotland. I will highly recommend this to everyone.
Juvida hair transplant
Had a hair transplant with Juvida a 17/5/21. I can honestly say I would 100% recommend juvida. On the day everything went exactly as planned and I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable. I would like to thank every single person I met who worked that day, nothing was to much trouble. As I had to travel a long distance juvida organised my accommodation, which was also perfect and the hotel owner was used to accommodating customers of the clinic. Juvida have since contacted me to make sure that I a recovering well. I can already see a vast improvement even after a week. I cant wait to see the finished result. I will be attending a 3,6 & 9month consultant review to ensure that the best possible results have been achieved. Thanks again Juvida. Niall
As a HIV+ patient turned down by other clinics. I highly recommend Juvida Clinic's care and service.
Like many people last year, I considered taking the opportunity during lockdown to fly to Turkey for a hair transplant while I had some time off. I was approaching 40 and unhappy that was hair was increasingly thinning.
I looked at a few companies and found a really competitive rate for a transplant with a travel package, subsided by the Turkish tourism board. I paid my a deposit and booked the procedure. It was only after I completed a final medical questionnaire, in which I declared my HIV+ status, that the Turkish company refused the operation. I was incredibly upset. It had taken me a long time to consider whether to have a transplant, and to be told that I could not have it was devastating, despite being on effective HIV medication that made me undetectable.
When I challenged the decision, the company relented and offered me the operation again, but doubled the price. I turned this down and requested that they refunded my deposit.
It was at this point, I began to look for a clinic near to me where I could get an in-person consultation, as the only consultation I had with the Turkish company was over the phone and by sending them a few selfies.
I found Juvida Clinics in Skipton, and booked a consultation. I then met with their representative Jamie, who had begun working for them after having his own treatment with them, which he showed me photos of.
Jamie was lovely, and kind, and incredibly understanding and sympathetic when I told him that I had been rejected by the Turkish company because I was HIV+.
Jamie immediately consulted with a surgeon, and they both assured me that I was not at any increased risk, and that there was nothing to prevent me having any treatment.
I was surprised when rather than sell me the transplant package, Jamie began to discuss with my the cheaper and less invasive procedure, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). At less than a quarter of the price, and a fraction of the operating time, it certainly seemed like a much more viable option.
I was, however, sceptical that it wouldn’t work, or that it wouldn’t give me the results that I wanted.
Jamie continued to encourage me, but suggesting that if after having PRP, I later still wanted a transplant that they would deduct some of the cost. It seemed like a good option, and I was prepared to try. Jamie also talked me through the payment options, and offered me a discount for the treatment.
It was explained to me, as well as the course of three PRP treatments, that I should begin using a daily spray and taking a gummy tablet each day. This would stimulate the hair regrowth and thickening. The price was reasonable and nothing more than I would pay for a shampoo, or hair cut each month.
I returned each month for three months to have the treatment. Each time I brought my mother incase I didn’t feel well, and couldn’t drive home. However after each visit I felt fine, and was able to drive myself home.
The treatment was administered well each time, with no complications, and only a slight initial pain, which you would expect from multiple injections in your scalp. I experienced no side effects, or concerns, and the staff were lovely and friendly.
At each visit, the reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the clinic was exceptionally clean, and felt safe. As did I throughout having my treatments during the pandemic. Care was taken by Juvida Clinic to manage this.
It was around three months after my final treatment that I began to really notice the difference. Visibly my hair was thicker and felt softer and healthier. It was only when I compared the photos that I had taken six months previously that I could not believe the difference. I posted these on social media, and had an incredible response of kind and flattering messages. I was delighted.
I never realised how much of a difference it would make to my self esteem, confidence, and happiness. I felt more attractive, and looked younger.
It was definitely money well spent, and I would recommend this service to anyone. I already gave my brother and a few friends the number for Juvida Clinic, and told them to book an appointment.
Honest professional company
From my initial consultation I found Juvida very knowledgeable and very honest. They managed my expectation and recommended FUE treatment for my receding hairline and PRP treatment for my thinning scalp area. The day its self went well despite my slight anxiety. The DR explained exactly what would happen throughout the day and the team made sure I was comfortable throughout. I am now 5 weeks post op and I am now in the sheding stage. Exactly what I was told. The first week is slightly difficult dealing with the swelling and sleeping up right but after that its pretty much back to normal and a waiting game. You can see exactly where the hair is going to be and the next few months will be exciting. Overall I would recommend Juvida as they were very professional and you can tell that they care about your experience.
