Great Experience At Orogem Jewelers
I had a very good experience buying an engagement ring at Orogem. I contacted Yannick and explained him what I was looking for. I had a clear set of multiple criteria. The very first diamond Yannick showed me ticked all the boxes and had a good price as well! The process that followed of designing the ring was very professional and communication always ran smoothly. All in all a great experience and I am very happy with the end result (hope she will be happy too!). Keep in mind that the store has the Antwerp's Most Brilliant certificate as well, so make sure to give them a visit!

Great service, beautiful rings
For anyone buying diamonds in Antwerp, you need to know that the city of Antwerp has made a list of trustworthy stores. It's called "Antwerp's most brilliant". Orogem Juwelers is on that list, which is why I visited them for my engagement ring.
How the meeting went:
I went together with my girlfriend so she could see the ring on her finger before I make the investment. She had a certain style in mind, but didn't know how it looked in real life and with a diamond in it. They actually had the style of ring she wanted, and then we could pick out the diamond from a list. The list showed things like carats, colour grade, clarity, cut, and price. In the end we picked a diamond with a beautiful cut. They brought the diamond so we could see it together with the ring to get a good indication of what they would look like together.
Service:
The service was very good. The employee was super friendly and offered great advice to our questions. They gave us a coffee while we were there and we were not rushed at all. They made us feel like we could really take our time to make the decision on this big investment.
Waiting time:
After paying a deposit, it normally takes up to 3 weeks for them to complete the ring with diamond and customisations. No promises were made for anything shorter than 3 weeks, which I think is fair. We were lucky, because they actually had the ring we wanted in the correct size in storage, and only had to put the diamond in it. In less than 1 week I was able to pick it up.
Price:
For the ring I paid about 900€ as it had some smaller diamonds embedded in it. With the bigger diamond we were extremely lucky as we found a triple excellent (cut, polish, symmetry) on the list which didn't compromise in other areas as much as we were considering before entering the store (0.81ct, G, SI2). I won't name the price we paid, because I don't think you'll find that deal again, but in this range you're probably looking at around 4000-6000€. When you go smaller (say 0.5ct or so) you can find something for around 2000-3000€. Of course price depends on many factors.
Extra notes:
1) I urge guys to try to get your girlfriend to come with you if you can. My girlfriend admitted that it was essential for her to see the ring and the diamond on her finger to know how it felt. It's not just the numbers that matter, it's how it looks and feels to the wearer.
2) You get a GIA certificate of the diamond with your purchase, as well as a certificate of the whole ring.

The best diamond jewelery in Antwerp
This is by far the best diamond jewelry in Antwerp. I visited several other ones before entering Orogem, where I had a totally different experience.
All the people working there are super professional, they take time to explain in detail how the diamonds are ranked, what are the best options, showing different designs based on the budget, etc.
Everyone speaks perfect English, so if you are not a dutch speaker it is very easy to discuss and choose the perfect piece.
