My experience with Jehovah’s Witnesses…

My experience with Jehovah’s Witnesses has been profoundly negative, particularly as it pertains to my husband's involvement. From my perspective, this religion operates as a cult. Their teachings are steeped in manipulation, and their leaders seem more focused on control than truth. The Bible has been altered to align with their doctrine, which raises significant red flags about the authenticity of their teachings.

Jehovah’s Witnesses eagerly anticipate the end of the world, with billions of non-believers perishing while they alone survive. This belief fosters an "us vs. them" mentality that isolates members from the rest of the world. It has had devastating consequences for my marriage.

My husband, a devout Jehovah’s Witness, prioritizes the Watchtower organization over our marriage and even over the Bible itself. When I refused to join his religion, he began shunning me and stopped contributing financially to our household. I have tried to engage him by showing him evidence of the Watchtower’s inconsistencies and falsehoods from their own publications, but he refuses to listen or even look at the information.

Our disagreements escalated, and his behavior became cruel. He lied to his employer, claiming I was a domestic abuser, in order to secure accommodations. He lied to doctors, saying he had endured over 40 years of abuse during our marriage, and even involved congregation elders and members, painting me as the villain in his fabricated narrative. These actions are heartbreaking and have caused me immense emotional and personal distress.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses' culture discourages members from exploring external information, labeling it as "apostate." This one-sided approach ensures that members remain trapped in a cycle of ignorance and fear. Their website, literature, and teachings are all carefully curated to maintain loyalty, leaving no room for critical thought or outside perspectives.

This experience has opened my eyes to the toxic control exerted by this religion. The lack of love, humility, and genuine affection displayed by my husband—qualities the faith claims to promote—reveals the underlying hypocrisy. I urge anyone considering involvement with Jehovah’s Witnesses to research carefully and look beyond their sanitized public image.

If you see these “witnesses” at your door…

Just turn of the lights and everything else in your home and make it look like no one is home or even more, just slam the door in their faces and tell them straight up to screw off and that your not interested in becoming a member of their cult and believe in all that BS they believe is true, these two “witnesses” or should I call them cultists, came into my house without my permission and I told them I’m and atheist and I’m not interested and politely told them to leave but no, instead they walked around my house and when I asked them to leave politely once again, they ask me “Do you have anything that’s magical?”, I then said asked them what are they talking about, they said things like “Oh playthings, like uhmm… toys or whatever.”) and I declined but they called me a liar and saw that I had Magic: The Gathering cards and I bullsh*t you not, one of them picked up my trash can from my kitchen and I sternly told him to put it back and the other witness said “We’re sorry but things like this (my MTG cards as I mentioned) are magical and they are the devil’s doing and creation, it need to be disposed of right away.”, I then scolded them telling them to get their hands off of it and heck, I even went to my closet, grabbed my baseball bat, and threatened them to stop touching my property and get out of my house, I know I should’ve complained about this to the cops and the “Watchtower” but I don’t think they will believe me.

Lesson Learned: What do you do when “Jehovah’s Witnesses” show up at your door?

A: Greet them and tell them “Come on in.”

B: Turn off the lights, and everything else (this includes your TV) and make it look like your not home

C: Just slam the door on their faces

D: Either B or C

In my opinion, of course, it’s D, and heck, you should know the answer to this as well. Do not ever let these cultists into your home, if B or C fail and if they go inside your house without your permission and they touch your belongings like what they did to mine, just use force like what I did.

JW.ORG

This is by far the best web site that you will find anywhere on earth to gain accurate knowledge of the Bible, including history, prophecy, and true spirituality. I have found no other web site in connection with the Bible that has the uniformity of knowledge without bias or contradiction.

Excellent. No rival.

To any neutral readers of this review, please understand that Jehovah's Witnesses are often the target of hate campaigns - usually from spiteful individuals who left due to gross conduct. As Jehovah's Witnesses, we often know these individuals personally and know that their claims are riddled with lies and half-truths.

An employee who is fired from a company because he/she was stealing from the company, may turn around and start backbiting the business. But in reality...the business and all the other employees know the truth: that the person chose a course of action and continued in that course, possibly over a long period of time.

Let's look at this objectively:

1. This website is rarely, if ever, down.

2. This website performs well without major bugs.

3. This website is pleasant to look at, well presented, organized into sections and has a good search function.

4. This website is translated into more languages than any other website on the entire internet.

5. This website has more publications and content that I can manage to write here. Most of it is downloadable.

6. And most important of all, this website contains excellent practical advice from the bible.

It's objectively speaking an excellent website that doesn't have a rival. Jehovah's Witness practice true Christianity. They use the Bible. They speak about it to others. They maintain standards. And God is clearly blessing their work. Please visit the site to read the bible, research a topic that interests you, listen to a Bible talk, play animated videos for kids, request a bible study, search for an in person congregation near you, and more.

Some nasty comments from some…Objects of hatred.

Some nasty comments from some individuals.
They condemned Jesus for doing is fathers will just like people do today when condemning the same message .Jesus commanded them to preach from door to door.
Jesus did say they would be hated on account of his name.

Searching for the religion that is a good Fit for me.

About a year ago several folks representing the Johova witnesses had a display on a street corner near my house. They were easy to talk to. One of the group looked like a young Alex Trebeck. They honored me by giving me a copy of their bible. I keep it by my bedside and read it often.

I have been a Baptist, a Methodest, a Luthern, and have been afelieated with Eastern religions. What I am looking for is an open minded religion that embraces the qualities of the concept that We are All Created equal. And that we are all on this planet to Get Our Acts Together. I think that the JW folks may be what I am looking for.

I would never judge a religion

I would never judge a religion - I think it's not really a theme for Trustpilot. In all religions there are good and there are bad people - from low to high grade. I myself am an ex-JW (since 30 years). Here it will only result in either complete 1 negative or 5 absolute positive. No sense in that. In questions of religion - make up your own mind.

We recently moved from W London to JW…

We recently moved from W London to JW Marriott and I regret this decision. The room is not user-friendly, and the room service has been horrible. Housekeeping repeatedly fails to restock basic amenities after cleaning. Even for green tea or coffee, I have to call multiple times. Additionally, the bathtub in the room has been consistently problematic. Overall, it has been a bad experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Insulted my door!

Two elderly individuals came to my house today on 26/06/2024. The ring camera picked them up which the woman clearly realised as she told the man to ‘shhh’ and pointed at the camera.

Why did she tell him to ‘shhhh’ you ask? He was pointing out how dirty my front door was, as well as the neighbours (the door was dirty because some children kicked it and I hadn’t had time to clean it due to working full time, the horror!).

Anyway, the lady told him to be quiet and he did for a couple of seconds. He then continued to point to my door in disgust and said that I need to ‘wash the floors’. Such kind, considerate and non judgemental people! Not.

Disgusted and upset.

I feel sad for all the brainwashed…

I feel sad for all the brainwashed people that get controlled by this nonsense just for money.
They are intollerant to non-believers and very hung up in childish black-and-white thinking.
No wonder their numbers are declining and a friend of mine is an ex-jw.
