Deceptive, Fake “Live” Webinar & Manipulative Sales Tac

Do NOT trust a single word K21Academy says.

I signed up for their so-called “FREE LIVE Masterclass” after seeing nonstop ads on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. They explicitly advertise it as a live session with interaction and Q&A.

That is a complete lie.

The moment I joined, it was obvious that the entire session was a pre-recorded video playing on a loop. There was nothing live about it.

What makes this worse:
• The “live chat” is clearly fake or bot-driven
• Messages look scripted and timed
• When you try to ask a real question, you’re either ignored or get a generic, automated response
• No actual trainer responds in real time

This is not just misleading — it’s insulting to people’s intelligence.

If a company is willing to lie so blatantly about something as basic as whether a session is live, it seriously makes you question:
• The honesty of their course content
• The credibility of their success stories
• The truth behind their so-called job guarantees

By the end, it becomes obvious what this really is:
A 90-minute sales pitch disguised as a “masterclass”, filled with fake urgency, countdown timers, and pressure tactics to make you spend thousands of pounds/dollars.

Atul Kumar and his team may be marketing geniuses, but they are not behaving like educators. Education starts with trust — and this experience destroys it in the first interaction itself.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with pre-recorded content. The problem is lying about it.

Final advice to anyone considering K21Academy:
Go in knowing this is not live, not transparent, and heavily sales-driven. Better yet, stay far away and look for platforms that respect your time and intelligence.

Very disappointing and dishonest first impression.

I worked as their sales associate so if you are a customer who's reading this and on the verge of wasting your money, STOP AND READ THIS....

I worked as a Sales Associate with this company. My role was to speak with innocent learners who were looking for career growth, first understand their pain points, and then manipulate those pain points to convince them to pay a hefty amount—around $4,800—for a poor-quality online training program taught by underqualified professionals. The company claims that they will place you in a $200k job role in Cloud/AI-ML within 3–4 months and that your money will be refunded if you don’t get results. But in reality, there is no refund at all. It is a clear instruction from the CEO, Atul Kumar, that no refunds should be given—not even the $200 booking amount. The company operates on a WFH model, and the CEO dictates everything from London. They hire capable sales professionals and then ruin their careers. Employees are removed without notice by simply disabling their Google accounts and removing them from WhatsApp groups. They exploit their employees and put extreme pressure on them to generate revenue at any cost. I had a power cut issue in my area, and although I informed the company via email, it was delayed by one hour due to the outage. For this, the so-called CEO fired me immediately. This alone is enough to understand what kind of company this is. The CEO believes he can do anything because he is making huge money sitting in the UK, while his hardworking inside sales associates stay awake all night to generate revenue for him. If any sales associate from K21 Academy who worked with me is reading this—please resign and find a better company. Do not waste your valuable time here. Atul does not care about your career or the effort you are putting in. I feel sorry for myself and for all the learners I onboarded during my 7 months of tenure at this company. I generated an overall revenue of $93,000 in just 6 months. My advice to every learner reading this: DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM COMPANY. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY.

they have not paid my pending incentives and 1 month of salary which they are legally bound to pay since they terminated me.

As employees, we believe in maintaining transparency, professionalism, and fairness, and therefore, we would like to present the facts from the company’s perspective.

First things first, K21Academy is committed to providing results to all its learners, and the fact that we are currently serving more than 45,000+ trainees and maintaining a 4.8-star rating shows the quality and the results we deliver.

Having said that, the Refund policy you mention is conditional and requires the customers to work to get results, and the customer is mandated to read the policy properly before enrolling on any of our programs. (You also attended sales training covering the same and were asked to communicate this in writing over email. Check the sample mail below.

As for clients who pay the booking amount, they pay the booking amount to reserve a seat in the program, and they are clearly told that it is a non-refundable booking fee for blocking the seat for them and the same is communicated to them via email before charging the booking fee

As for you, from the day you joined, the company extended full flexibility and support expected in a work-from-home environment. However, throughout your tenure, there were consistent concerns raised by multiple managers regarding your work ethic, communication practices, and adherence to basic operational processes.

Despite repeated reminders and guidance, the following issues continued to occur:

Frequent non-attendance or delayed attendance in important team meetings.


Repeated failure to submit mandatory End-of-Day (EOD) and End-of-Week (EOW) reports.

Lack of clarity about your start time, break time, and log-out time, even after multiple reminders.

Unresponsiveness during working hours requires your managers to reach out repeatedly to confirm your availability.

As an organisation, we made several efforts to support your performance and well-being:

Your reporting structure was changed multiple times to give you a more comfortable and supportive supervisory environment.

We approved all your medical leaves and provided flexibility whenever you requested it.

You were supposed to join from 1st December, but you joined from 2nd, and we understand delays happen, and we welcomed you back to the organisation.

We unfortunately had to make the decision to let you go when we saw that just after 2 days, you again faced an electricity issue, which you failed to inform till your start time and disclosed it only after we reached out to you after waiting for you for almost an hour.

Our decisions have never been based on any personal bias.

We maintain a strict policy of equal respect, equal opportunity, and equal treatment for all employees.

Every individual working here is expected to fulfil standard professional responsibilities, including maintaining communication, completing mandatory reports, and giving eight hours of accountable work requirements that apply uniformly across the organisation.

On your last working day as well, you remained unresponsive and did not inform your manager about your unavailability.

This was not an isolated incident; it was part of a long pattern of similar behaviour.

This decision was not a reaction to a single day’s event but the outcome of several months of documented concerns and discussions.

SCAM ALERT: AVOID THIS "ACADEMY"

Do not pay them—they are highly selective about who they target for charges. My experience was a series of problems: classes were constantly being changed, and when I encountered an issue, a 'scammer' named Atul advised me to speak to the offline. No guts to handle situation in the class.Every time they simply plugged to some on going class which was irrelevant to me

After the escalation they initially agreed to a repayment after six months, but I received nothing, and there was zero follow-up for subsequent classes. They cleverly handling refund policy to my banker's attempts to help. They offered me three installment payments, yet I was never placed in a class until the total money was collected. Their clear intention is to take your money, not to teach you.

Be very careful. Look for free, quality courses online instead. Beware of the +44 international numbers; they seem focused on targeting US funds. I am not letting this go.

My follow up response on your reply - 5 Dec 2025

The contrast between your pre-payment communication and your post-issue support is unacceptable.

When you were collecting funds/enrollment , your team contacted me every single day. Now that I have reported a significant failure—specifically, your failure to conduct basic training—all communication has stopped, and my direct requests for a refund are completely ignored.

I have an open service ticket and all supporting evidence, including a relevant WhatsApp audio recording from Atul. I have seen reviews indicating a history of refusing refunds, but I have fulfilled my part of the agreement and have not moved out as alleged. What is preventing you from processing the refund for the service you failed to deliver?

I am prepared to upload all documentation if the platform allows it. I expect an immediate response regarding my refund.

I am concerned that you are actively hiding or downplaying similar negative reviews through the use of questionable or potentially paid positive feedback. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, and I require the immediate return of my funds due to service failure.

Trapped by False Promises

I only wish I had seen the reviews before applying. It would have saved me from this experience.

Terrible experience with this company. They mislead people, exploit their dreams, and create false hopes. Please avoid at all costs!

I plan to share my experience more widely soon with facts so others are aware and can avoid falling into the same trap.
