Me and my partner have been trying to…

Me and my partner have been trying to get a shared ownership property, we found some through Karbon Homes. I was asked to supply them with my bank statement to show i had the funds available, then I was asked to go through a financial check, even though I sent them my bank statement. The financial check is too get a mortgage in principle with the mortgage company associated with Karbon Homes, which i imagine have a lucrative contract with them, just to get to see the property which we may not like. What a ridiculous policy, which is just to fill the pockets of Karbon Homes, who are paid by the mortgage company who in turn make money.
Karbon Homes get government funding, what a corrupt and greedy principle of a way to run a company and especially so after you receive government funding from which we pay.

Karbon Homes Exploiting Their Tenants.

I tried to get a repair done and months later Im still trying. Karbon Homes don't do repairs it's just not in the Karbon DNA to repair anything . Karbon want tenants to pack up and leave so they don't have to repair and then the next tenant faces the problem never knowing that they are walking into a trap. Karbon is a well-oiled confidence trickster firm with glossy PR and smiley faces, but behind the facade, they are exploiting their tenants.

Karbon is rubbish

Karbon repairs is a joke needed so many repairs since I moved in and I've had 1 temporary fix, also when your account is in credit they take forever to give you your money, also I've been paying £110pm for a furniture pack for almost 5years, I've been in touch to get rid of it as I can't afford it and still no response

Moved from South Tyneside council…

Moved from South Tyneside council housing to karbon first won't to say I didn't want to move but it's a long story. Been here nearly 2-3 years the people whom work for karbon were very nice, but reading the reviews it makes karbon look bad. You get your good and bad reviews everywhere but why make an appointment to come and check your boiler and cancel twice, don't get this with others say no more! I spoke to the person who covers the area still never got back refs: tiles on the roof. They are soon on your back if you don't pay your rent on time by phone and email plus letter. I didn't want to put this but south Tyneside council housing can help you better. Let's hope karbon change after all the reviews people have put, Thanks for reading this.

I have been with Karbon homes for over…

I have been with Karbon homes for over 10 years and their service has gone downhill dramatically.
I reported repairs on my doors and handles as all the wood had been split from wear and tear over the years.
It took 3 months for anyone to come out and even then they did not replace the doors. Only tried to put screws in already split wood. The handles lasted 2 weeks before the screws dropped out and the handles came off.

I have reported a repair about my boilers pressure dropping. This never got resolved and i have to re pressure my boiler constantly. I noticed a leak in my radiator and tried to tighten the valve to only make it worse. I then called an emergency repair. The man came out and spoke to me very abruptly saying I have split the whole radiator pipes?
When I first rented with karbon or cestira at the time. I had no problems, everyone was lovely and polite. Seems like nobody has the time of day these days to be nice and do a proper job

These guys left me homeless and in over…

These guys left me homeless and in over £1500 debt. THey decided to allow somekne the right to rent out their spare room. That spare room was rented to me but during that time I lost my job. I tried to claim UC for rent like I have always done when renting a room but Karbon told UC that my landlord jad no right to sublet the room. In otherwords they reversed their decision. I had to move out and had nowhere to go. I was street homless for 4 month and had to pay back all the housing benefits . I was over £1500 in debt becaue of them.

Rented through karbon for almost 3…

Rented through karbon for almost 3 years

When my tenancy ended I was told to keep my direct debit open so that any money for my rent could be paid back to me. This was because i moved out mid month as I was buying a house.

Unbelievably they have just took a a full direct debit out for rent when I haven’t been there for a month.

Leaving me high and dry now paying a months rent and mortgage

Thanks karbon I now can’t afford to live for the rest of this month! Absolutely shocking.

No care for how they affect people's lives

One of their workers parks his bus-sized van outside of my bedroom window every day, waking me up around 6 every single day, and blocking my entire house from view. I can never get near MY OWN FRONT DOOR. Despite complaining to both him and the company multiple times and there being plenty of space to park elsewhere, it continues. A lovely, caring company, clearly!

Long repair times

Absolute joke of a company. Electrical socket for the cooker blew and started to spark in the kitchen. Rang to book a repair in and they said their next available appointment was in 18 days, and to just eat microwave meals until then. Cheeky person on the phone even told me to buy an air fryer. Never use this company

I regret applying for this property I…

I regret applying for this property I now feel stuck in after a year and a half. Constant lies from call centre staff meaning they must have a massive training issue and a hugely outdated computer system it would seem.
Repeated no shows for repairs. 6 months to replace the boxing for the boiler flu however they didn't replace the vents in it. Fingers crossed I don't have a buildup of fumes while I'm smoking on the toilet. I survived the electric light cord fitted inside my shower until they moved it at my request lol
I've paid to have work done rather than deal with the incompetence of the staff at Karbon. I'm disabled but so far the only thing that effected was I'm not entitled to the new bathroom that the rest of the street got.
This company employs some great people unfortunately they don't have enough staff or the infrastructure to meet the needs and safety of the tennants.
Id recommend seeking legal advice for the tennants facing issues.

Just want to say thank you…

Just want to say thank you for my new door today have waited a long time for repairs done and do get very frustrated with karbon homes but spent a few times chatting with the people who come to do repairs and some of them are decent and have explained they are frustrated too waiting times for parts and having too many jobs on as not enough staff have resulted in them been delayed still don't feel higher up help any and antisocial behaviour is still a massive problem and probably will always be.But again thank you to those that have done repairs and helped me massively in the last few months .

No action after years of abuse and antisocial behaviour…

Whilst we have had no real problems getting repairs done via Karbon ( wait time is sometimes more than I feel you should wait) my problem with this company is that they just don't deal with tenants that are causing antisocial behaviour.
We have lived in the property almost 10 years and whilst we initially got on and were very pleasant to the next door neighbours it soon downward spiralled.
Noise from their teenage kids at 3 often 4am in the morning followed by abuse from both children and parent if you complained.
Rubbish being thrown from.theres into both or front and back garden.
Threats from their families of bodily harm and damage to our car.
Obvious drug taking and dealing.
They are still there and have not been evicted.
They do not treat tenants equally we got given one week when my partner had cancer to clear a back garden yet they allowed them months and its still noy tidy.
If I had not spent years making my house a home I would move I just don't understand why they support the perpetrators more than the actual victims!??
