Kardiel is awesome

My wife and I purchased a mid-century modern home in Indianapolis this past December, and we are going to need to purchase a significant number of pieces or furniture for it over the course of the next year. We have a 17' x 10' set of windows on the back of the home, and I really wanted a lounge chair in which to kick back during the evening. I fell in love with Papa Bear chairs, and decided to find a reproduction, thinking that I might eventually invest in an original piece sometime down the road. Kardiel offered the greatest assortment of colors, and the reviews were good, so I decided to give it a shot.

I ordered a gray papa bear chair in January, when they were marked out of stock. At the time of order they provided me an estimated date when they would be in stock (mid-march). True to their word they were I stock and on their way to my door within days of the estimate. Delivery was extremely smooth, and I was very impressed with the quality of the chair. The fabric is stunning and it is very comfortable. The craftsmanship is very good. It isn't going to be confused with a $6,000 chair, but the quality is easily fitting that of an $1,800 chair. Given that it cost half that I'm more than happy. Every person who visits compliments it, and I will be ordering additional furniture from them in the near future.

Kardiel products and service are awesome

I do a lot of online shopping and Kardiel might be my best experience ever. I originally ordered a loveseat and sofa through a different retailer that (as I discovered) drop ships through Kardiel. Before shipping Kardiel noticed the leather on the two pieces they had in stock didn't quite match each other. Kardiel let the retailer know (including pictures), and I decided to cancel my order. I then contacted Kardiel directly asking if I could place my order directly and have them hold it until they had a matching set. Kardiel was quick to respond and very accommodating with various details and requests.
The estimated delivery was a few months out, but after only one month Kardiel called and said they had a matching set and offered to deliver it right away! Delivery was painless and on the scheduled day and time. The packaging was strong and undamaged.
The sofa and loveseat were perfect. I'd been dreaming of them for 25 years, since my days as an architecture student. These are very high quality reproductions and match all the details of the original. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but they all make significant compromises in materials, construction, and details. The Kardiel versions are all I hoped for and the company far exceeded my expectations.

Very happy with my Florence sofa

Purchased a reproduction of the Florence sofa and the price was over a hundred $$ less than comparable products at Overstock and Wayfair. Sofa was delivered in a timely manner in perfect condition and the driver helped me get it up onto my porch at no charge. The sofa is high quality and hard to tell from the real thing that costs 10 times what I paid.

Freestanding tub order

Ordered a freestanding tub for our new home. It took longer than expected to get the tub but the support team was responsive and a pleasure to work with. The delay was due to a 3rd party shipping company, not Kardiel.

The tub arrived and we were very happy with the packaging that was done to protect it. We have yet to install the tub so I cannot speak to the product itself (though it looks great in the container). We are definitely looking forward to getting it installed and will add comments at that time.

Overall, we had a good experience. The prices are good, The product looks good...and the service was great.

Where do I start?

Where do I start? Maybe by saying that I don't have enough pieces from Kardiel yet to add the true mid century touch to our home that we are now in a process of remodeling (and renovating and and and not mentioning the mess :) We started with the Velia Bathtub that came with complimentary faucet (many to choose from). The bathtub is currently in our bedroom as it is making it's way to the bathroom any day now, what a display it will be!!! Our friends copied us and theirs is already installed and admired by many. Recommended!
Next came the Woodrow Box Sofa... we were looking forward to replace our old furniture at this point, being living with it for 20 years... even our kids thought we are old fashioned. Sofa has added an unusual memorabilia to our environment, both my husband and I come from homes that were furnished in similar styles and have long been gone from our lives. It's a keeper... we love memories.
Customer service: no matter how often I inquired about deliveries, I received immediate response. Our sofa has some hairline cracks on the backrest, nothing the wood filler can fix. We have reported this issue and Kardiel was more than willing to replace the item, but because of our limited storage space (original box is taking too mach space in the garage), we decided not to go ahead with this option. We have kids and host often, the wooden frame will have marks and scratches from all those happy times in no time!!!

Great customer service!

Great customer service! Called to inquire about delivery timeframe...informed them that the date range wouldn’t work. They expedited delivery at no additional cost! The items arrived very well packaged and no damage whatsoever! Will definitely be doing business with Kardiel again in the future!!

High value MCM furniture with great customer service

I found out about Kardiel while shopping online for mid-century modern furniture - the pieces I kept liking were from this company. I have made two orders. The first order, the item I ordered was out-of-stock, but I received a prompt phone call to notify me. I was able to switch to another item on my wish list. Upon delivery, the packaging was very securely completed. The cashmere wool fabric is as good as advertised & the arm chair has a very solid structure. The proportions are spot-on! My second order, a Florence Knoll-like sectional sofa, has been wonderful. I have not taken full advantage of the reversible chaise, but that is a very nice benefit. Will continue working through my Wish List on Kardiel.com.

Stand up organization; Great products and service

I ordered an amazing looking and functional bath set from Kardiel but long story short, once we received the Japanese soaking tub from another company we realized that the faucet would not work. I immediately called Kardiel up and they were very understanding about the situation and even though I was outside their return window they allowed me to swap out for another bath set that would work since we hadn't actually installed or used the unit. They also expedited the order and made sure we received the unit and were happy with everything. It's hard finding companies like this and I highly recommend them.

You have to try this!

I am very satisfied with the timely delivery (that was flawless and unscathed). The quality of the product from the frame to the leather on my new sofa! I am a woodworker by hobby/side business and I do not like purchasing from stores, but I will definitely be frequenting Kardiel in the future. Love it. The website is very well put together with all the information you need.

Bad Product and Lackluster Service

I bought the Cubix sectional just 1 year ago and could not be more disappointed with the quality of this sectional. Within 6 weeks of receiving my sectional they had to replace the lounge half of the sectional due to the sectional sagging in the middle and it took them 6 months to do so. Now, the other half of the sectional is doing the exact same thing the lounge portion did. You cannot sit upright with your back straight because you will be sitting on a support beam that doesnt have proper cushioning on it. I dont know about you, but I cannot afford to replace a couch every year. Dont buy this sofa and I wouldnt recommend buying anything from this company period with the miserable experience Ive had and now a year in am even more upset with my product. Dont buy!

Awesome company

Awesome company, awesome sofa, awesome customer service. I ordered the Woodrow aniline black leather sofa and it came slightly damaged on one of the corners. Kardiel was responsive and stood by me and even returned some of my purchase price back to compensate for the damage. They gave me the option of returning it but I was content with the former Option. I’m very happy with my purchase and the sofa looks beautiful and is of incredible quality for the price I paid! Will definitely be buying from them again!

Just finished my first experience with…

Just finished my first experience with the purchase of a PK 31 (3 seat) Leather / stainless steel sofa.
I spent many months researching, looking, educating myself, contemplating, measuring, and then
finally taking a deep breath and purchasing online..When say educating myself, I mean that I looked at
sites not only in the US but also Australia, United Kingdom, and Europe..I found one company trying
to sell PK31's for $43,000US...I felt that might be a little out of my price range, but I'm sure once you sit
on it you'll defiantly know where that extra $40,000US went. I decided to purchase through Kardiel.
The price point was right, reviews were positive (there will always be unhappy campers) I had a positive
perception of the company, and felt Kardiel was my best choice. I'm extremely pleased with my PK31
and look forward to it giving me a lifetime of enjoyment, not only visually but also functionally.
I have other products that I plan to purchase from Kardiel and have enthusiastically recommended them
to friends and associates...

John and Shayna were very accommodating when my couch was received with shipping damage. They worked with me to come to solution on fixing the problem. Response times via email was almost immediate. I love the couch! :)

I Bought a Sofa from Kardiel .They have unique modern furniture and although they have furniture on other website but best price was on their own website. I was happy with the transaction and follow through. Sofa was delivered to Michogan .Only suggestion is they should immediately swnd you a tracking number of shipment... will give 5 stars ..

fantastic product with even better service. This seems to be a company that cares about their client to the point of following up after an item has been delivered just to ask how everything is. It was a real pleasure doing business…

It was a real pleasure doing business with Kardiel. We were kind of nervous ordering such a big purchase online without even sitting on it, but we really wanted this sectional. We had never seen anything like it in all of our shopping. Our Woodbox sectional is absolutely gorgeous! The leather is beautiful. This addition really changed the look of our room as it is so modern and sleek. I wish we had more space to add more pieces from the collection.
Another thing, the customer service at Kardiel was friendly and kind. Every time I called, I received a courteous customer service agent who helped me out with all my questions. Overall, great product, great experience.

Return shipping thieves!!!

The chair I ordered was stained and had no legs. Kardiel charged me to return the chair. Check their return policy before ordering from them. They will only refund return shipping if the shipper causes damage. If item arrives defective they will not assume responsibility.

My dealings with them were not customer focused. At every point in the discussion they were difficult and unreasonable. It took over two weeks to get a return label sent. I am now in the process of filing a small claims case to get back the few hundred dollars I was charged to return the defective item.

If you must have their merchandise purchase from a third party retailer who has a good return policy for defective merchandise.

Kardiel responded by saying my compliant wasn't logical. Which is not the argument they presented to my bank. In fact they told my bank they refunded according to their return policy. The return policy on their website speaks only of damage caused by shippers. Most retailers have a stated policy regarding defective merchandise. I have never encountered a retailer charging the customer to return defective merchandise.

Finally, I believe there are other reviewers complaining about the same issue. Do not do business with this company directly. Or be prepared to get stuck with defective merchandise or cheated out of hundreds of dollars. Return shipping thieves!!!

A warranty covers repair or replacement. I'm talking about returning merchandise and refunding money. If I pay for new I expect to receive it in ready to use condition. I understand there maybe times when that doesn't happen. In those rare instances I expect to have the option. of repair, replace or RETURN. Kardiel wants to bully buyers into repairing damaged merchandise. At least that was my experience.

Kardiel,

I don't need to contact you. You don't need to give me the warranty policy. This is not a warranty issue. This a return and refund issue. Let's see how honest of a company Kardiel is.

What is Kardiels return shipping policy for defective merchandise?

I have 2 weeks worth of emails to support my position. I would be glad to upload them for others reviewers to see if trustpilot would provide away. I have a letter from my bank with document provided by Kardiel contradicting your statements here.

This review is genuine but not accurate. The products are pre-inspected for quality. It is true that sometimes inspectors do miss an issue, however, all products come with a visual defect warranty and are covered by a manufactures structural defect warranty which is for a minimum of 1 year and goes up from that. If an item at Kardiel arrives with a manufactures defect it is repaired to new condition or replaced. This is always in addition to shipping insurance that we and pretty much every online retailer put on shipments that have value. Kardiel is not unique in this, its pretty much a standard practice. What product can you buy on or offline that does not come with some sort of warranty when new? CW, It is clear that you are upset, that is not our intention but your review is not logical and you are either misunderstanding something or being intentionally deceitful. I would like to believe it is not the later. I sincerely encourage you to call us and we will help in person with this.
